    Nature

Hmmm... Interesting take on nature, you could have focussed on the most popular themes of nature, but you went to the different direction focussing on the beauty of insects, our alien like creatures. You didn't need more description, you brought the images matter of factly. I liked this again, you depict the beauty of the not so obvious. Starting with the spider and ending with the poison ivy... In between the mosquitos... Every creature do have a place in the nature.
  3. Hey sweetie! Wlcome to GA! GO wild with the stories here, there is much variety within the stories and authors and genres. I can say I have read all decent gay stories in Lit and stolen few of the best authors here too. You know Zolia_Lily? She transferred here My gal She is a perfect example for not writing the obvious. She did that with her first gay story and after that... well she has blown my mind with anything she has written. Sadly not much of it posted anywhere. I believe she is the ones to get publishing deals. Whe I write anything within the romance genre, I do try to avoid the clishees, but... obviously some f them are there. I like to bring (and read) raunchy twists and if a story has something unexpected in it - stands out - it catches my eyes. Good example is Kingdom by the Sea's Social Skills - she plays with the stereotypes but makes them something totally different and real. The sex in her story felt realistic and not like mechanic "written in the stars" type. I could rant all day about my favorities and WHY they are special. But as Dark said earlier, it is called a genre for a reason. There are other genres in the site if one gets bored with the romance.
  4. Well it is about the ultimate romance fantasy. Same with straight romance. I can see the patterns too! But after reading - uhm - countles stories from both sides I still can continue reading them. I have found other types of stories in GA and I always get a huff when someone does something positively differently. I'm not easy to surprise though.

    History

I'm not sure makind nor individuals really learn from the past. One can always hope. I think it is about selfishness, always choosing the things from the history that suits us best, not what is really good for us. I think we are blind to our mistakes. History can be something that teaches us to understand where we came from and shows the path we are on. Yet objectivity is something we don't posess no matter how we try to convince ourself. I do love history, I want to know everything, the big picture, the small details the connections the lost connections. In the context of family history... objectivity is even harder to obtain. Yup, made me ponder. I really liked the part where you said that the most difficult thing is to go to the other direction as the anchestors. Yes, that takes bravery.

    Chapter 1

I agree 100% Under that happy-go-lucky storyteller, you are a deep thinker, a philosopher, my friend.
  9. Life is a bitch. I hate hearing that you are hurting and what ever you do either makes the pain worse or affects negatively on some other aspect of your life. My mum's health has gone from bad to worse in past five years and she has given up. You must not give up! Please! There must be something to make it better. Or at least make the pain tolerable but still have a life you can enjoy the fullest.

I liked the visuals I got from this story And that you gave the models pover over the system
  11. My kind of story It was so curious to read about the writing and authorship and sharing the stories with someone special. Just You are amazing! Might want to change the story status into complete though, since I think there was a defintie "The End"... Am I right?

    Chapter 4

This is an interesting mix of harsh realism and a dreamy fantasy. I love that this story speaks to me in so many levels. I remember exactly how it felt to sleep next to the person I was going to walk out on. You couldn't have descriped it better than me. Wow.

    Friendship

A lot said about friendships in general and in a personal way. I could relate to this poem. There was something in it this that forbid me to smile too widely and knowingly, a serious subtext.
  14. I read it all with one sitting And My conclusion is... I want next chapter soon!!!!! I hate the visit is coming to an end for David, maybe they will work some kind of plan to be together. I'm a devoted reader, hun. Just keep adding chapters!
  15. I'm a walking talking catastrophe too... things happen around me, mostly by my actions. This is something that happes every now and then and has stopped being embarrassing after the first few times, these days I just laugh it off. here's few examples what has happened during my work hours: I noticed in the middle of my yoga class (I'm the teacher) that I have my top upside down. Once I was instructing a pt client at gym and he said something funny and I couldn't stop giggling for half an hour (lucky he didn't mind). The more i tried, the harder I laught. I fell asleep in my yoga class at the end relaxation - and snored. the list is endless...
  16. Poor Billy, his troubles seem the serious kind. I hope David will be able to help him. I like his mum too, she seems to even the balance somehow in the story. I hope the Daddy dearest isn't that bad as he seems to me right now. You have a cool writing style, plunt and a matter of fact type. I like it a lot. And I like to have two pov's. It makes the reader aware of both boy's situation and feel for them both.
  17. Very good start, I like the country setting and I can already see all kinds of troubles in the horizon.
  18. Reading is good! It calms me down from my hype. Gotta try that Indiana Summer soon. You are not the only one to recommend it! I can't believe you still get so much written! You better write as much as you can before the baby comes She might slow you down some... in a good way of course!
  19. Double rev, sorry, I also wanted to say, as sitting in a plane and flying it brought me a nice analogy with mind flying as well. Did you think about that? The ending made me almost cry. I love this piece sooo much! Sorry I use the l-word
  20. Frosty, you know I liked this the first time I read it It is different and I like it. It made perfect sense to me nd I want more!

This was touching and beautiful. I think it is very possible to dream wide awake - I do that. Lovely lovely poem!

    Chapter 1

It took a while to Alex to figure it finally out... he was slow with Sean too. Tsk tsk, I want to hear more about Sean too... maybe a short story for him...? WOuld make me happy. I really enjoyed this, kinda knowing the truth from the start and seeing Alex "suffer" was fun Also I wanted t know what really happened. You did well, my twin! Ps. This was also very educational about the hazards of over-drinking
  23. I have to say this was easy read compared to Holy day, not a better one but easier. After Holy Day I felt I had run a marathon, after School day I came from a swim. I could keep track with what was happening, but also the mumbled voices echoing but not quite reaching me yet under surface made it a curious read. So thank you! I can’t wait for the next story. I love Kismet. He is so precious! The scene where he gave the word to word –message to Taloric and was unaware that he actually offered himself to the Alien still makes me giggle. Faith-luck-chance; that is something you can play with, totally. I love the whole idea, it made me really think. It can be expanded to the whole series me thinks… With the three brothers and all… As Tal said in the end, it is gonna be a real ride to get all the brothers back together again… Now, that is gonna happen, right?

    Chapter 1

So much killing :-O Not really my favourite genre, but I enjoyed this piece. The first part of the story was like a start of a longer one, but I was amazed how you wrapped it up into a short story with a great idea behind it. I was lost with the fire balls and the battle, it happens to me if I'm reading something that needs investment from me and a shorty rarely manage to make me study them with a scrutinizing eye. Not bad at all.
