Wow, a lot happening in this chapter but still a building suspense for the outcome of the maneuvers used by the two parties. The prince seems to have already expected the imprisonment claims and upped the ante by calling for a new leader to parlay with. Very aggressive in dealing with the arrogance and oppression of a apparently a selfish dictator. Where is Elias? And what really happened in that attack by the river? Who was the other parties involved?

"Oh, Miss Scarlett! I don't know nothin' 'bout birthin' babies!" I certainly hope it’s a special baby just taking it’s time to display a spectacular arrival and NOT a baby in distress; come on momma Sparkles, sprinkle your magic!

Maybe an extra ration of coal, not that he deserves good boy status. 🤔🤔🤔👎 Nope just coal.

We could just use some of Jay’s hair dye...Rainbow Sheep! 😀

I’m with you on Charlie. Hopefully, the interaction and the subsequent reaction with Sue will bring her back stronger, reenergized, and more focused to help Charlie too. I don’t doubt the overworked and under appreciated influences can drag anyone down. I myself backed away from mentoring at a children’s group home because of exposure to people whom, should not be given control over children, would burn you in a NY minute to protect themselves; children be damned. I was powerless to bring change from within with my limited access. It was heart breaking to me but I was accused of improper contact with a 10yo child that I was not directly mentoring. I was accused when in the common area, properly supervised, and signed in for documentation. I noticed the kid that looked to my mentor child as a big brother had started craving a name on the inside of his forearm. I was able to patiently get him to talk. He was so depressed he didn’t want to be Ricky any more, he was craving his new name “Jack” on his arm with the point of his drawing compass. I inconvenienced the house supervisor by requesting his case worker get my report and by insisting on ointment/bandages for his arm. I hated to back away but I couldn’t risk that type of exposure to myself and my own children. All this was while waiting for my mentor child to return from work, he was late because the transportation by the home was inconvenient at that time so he waited unknowing when to expect his ride. I had driven over an hour to meet and discuss plans fro his transition/time out of the system.

As I criticize her character, and her compassion for Tyson, it is with the belief it is a convenience for her: to showcase her smart child, to display her musically talented child, to show what a wonder parent she is to raise such a wonder child; the same child with a broken heart, a broken purpose, and a broken will to live all neatly hidden or beaten (mentally if not physically) into submission. Tyson’s silly little games of life and death are a terrible inconvenience to her trophy family and her image. So my friend, you should feel very accomplished, Edith was given life by your hand. She is real enough for me that I don’t like her and I certainly wouldn’t entrust her with a mentally fragile child.😡 I think perhaps Cynthia knows and understands but needs Tyson to understand and declare how it’s unsafe for him to be under control by his parents. 🤨 You’re doing great, presenting us these characters that emulate everyday people in settings that are of real life challenges. I stand by my words that Tyson is portrayed perfectly imperfect! 😝 Ahem, the parents however have sold their souls! 🤑💩 I love your story and look forward to seeing where you’re taking us on this journey! Thanks for your commitment to follow through and move this story forward; truly.

And that explanation is mixed review, how can she be so strong and demanding to everyone except her husband? There’s still too much convenience to the explanation for me.

I’m with you on the emotions held for this story. What are we being held in suspense for that Bastian hasn’t been able to deal with on his own; will Mason bring the inter strength and clarity Bastian has been unable to find?
-
Lol, Borderlands. Absolutely, for both geographical and emotional transitions, it’s tough especially at his age. Super creepy!
-
Hey, courthouse, park...it’s a small world. Yeah, right!
-
I guess what I’m saying is, I personally wouldn’t change a thing as to do so makes Tyson too rational or too perfectly damaged for his fragile recovery from suicidal thoughts and actions.

I fully understand your meaning but that is also the beauty of your story. Life is not anywhere near perfect nor is it forgiving. So in my humble opinion, the fact that characters have flaws beyond the central theme makes them even more lively; real. Also Tyson’s assessment is very realistic to his present state of mind even though we know he wishes better for Charlie. Beyond that, the unvarnished truth is Tyson’s thoughts reflect upon that fact that even the system is flawed and doesn’t assure success. So this imperfection, as we may wish it otherwise, actually gives the story the reenforcement to project beyond the bounds of the main characters and nicely broadens the setting.
-
Great point, I took it as a reflection of Tyson’s state of mind but it is sadly there and Charlie needs support so desperately.

Wow, thanks for pointing out the oncoming headlights are in my lane! Lol Your summarization is great and makes many important points to be concerned about. Hopefully Tyson and Vladimir will move each other in a positive direction.

📣 well said ♥️

Well hopefully you’ve managed the chaos and refreshed your pool of creativity to allow you some time to enjoy being back to your passion. Thank you for your commitment to your creation. Despite the rollercoaster ride leaving me at times unsettled, I will gladly wait my turn for another chance to enjoy the highs and lows of this wonderful tale. 😉

As I wipe my tears, you summarized the rollercoaster of emotions I’ve had with this chapter and the story in general; wow, it’s tough at times. As if teen angst is not bad enough, throw in a little depression and Psychosis for increased confusion. This is such a powerful tale and so well written I cannot imagine someone not being able to connect with the characters, well...except for Tyson’s mom. Thank you for such a wonderful story, https://gayauthors.org/author/ausglitterati/.

Maynor, as the Lord of Subterfuge, continues to impose his will on the minds of others. It would be poetic justice that the mind blocks Kieran is an artist at creating and Maynor desperately wants if Kieran is able to turn the tables on Maynor; to make Maynor believe he is succeeding in stealing the Pearl but instead is giving Kieran the access in to his twisted mind. Perhaps then Kieran can slowly trick Maynor into building blocks so Maynor himself is actually building his own imprisonments within his own twisted, greedy, mind.

I’ve been trying to build my connection to the author’s secret web and perhaps use far sight to see those chapters in edit...but I find my stones hold no special powers and, since I’m fairly sure the author is not blind, my far vision connection is even short of myopic; damn, seven more days!

Off to the races...Meanwhile, the King is desperately racing to secure the nexus, to verify and challenge the remaining High Council, and demand fealty of the...wait... where are the remaining realm lords? Lords, and Panthers, and Dragons, oh my!

Life, love and family...a story of chaos by Aceinthehole! But I totally agree with your comments/review.

I too have been binge reading. This story, these characters, and all the mini stories of life are just simply fantastic! Family Struggles encompasses or reminds me of many great classic themes: the good, the bad, the ugly; the magnificent seven; yours, mine, and ours; cheaper by the dozen. Following college, I was a young USAF Officer and roommate to another of similar origins and means. We often made road trips to my roommate’s high school classmate’s family’s house. Many times it was a camp out in the den for those in excess of the shared bed count when many of us flocked “home” to visit; but no one was ever unwelcome or a burden to that wonderful family. Group projects were spontaneous but so were the subsequent socials; this story brings back to life that family and the bonding spirit that otherwise now is unfortunately just memories of earlier times. I very much hope the story continues and we get to share this extended family experience as it has become a part of us. Thank you for giving us this time together.

I don’t know how you do it but thank you for your dedication and for sharing your precious time on this wonderful story you share with us.

This relationship also makes me wonder of the hidden messages of strategic chess moves and emotional musical interludes. Will the pawn make it to the far opposing and most guarded side to become a much coveted Queen? 🥰 Will the music 🎶 prove to be a power play on a dominant contender? Just thoughts...the mind is a terrible thing! 😂 Thanks again for this wonderful story.

Thought vomit! So many thoughts churning it must be dispelled, hopefully without excess cleaning required. 🤮
