    Chapter 9

Important fluid research; it leads to a better understanding of carrier and bonding lubricant development, as squeaks are a great form of feedback.

    Chapter 9

A team of young squires, what could possibly come up…oops, never-mind.

    Chapter 9

Limited supply, at least after what he uses to protect himself from Julian’s unvarnished barbs.

    Chapter 9

Lloyd hasn’t gotten there yet, but when he patents his Wrought Disquieter version 1, WD-1 is bound to be a quiet success, especially amongst the squire test group, that has witnessed alternative uses for this joyful discovery.

    Three Days

Maybe if lucky the ceiling will drop on the witch and condemn her own apartment. Meanwhile, I still hold hopes that Kitt, and maybe Matt too, will get an offer for housing. Full athletic scholarship is an ill defined term; it may or may not include meals and housing. Kitt’s scores remain vague but Tom comments they are excellent. Ironic that Matt and Kitt are possibly looking at coming together, and I feel Tom will remain important to them both. While poor Mateo settled for a kiss on the cheek; a respectful gentleman that helped Kitt survive but respected Kitt’s needs over his own attraction. Perhaps he will sling me a drink when he shows up in Florida.

    A Door Half-Open

I venture to think there are unique scholarships that just may fit Kitt. Plus, we don’t know just how swimming may figure into Kitt’s plans and opportunities now that the GED is over. What would really be so neat is if somehow Kitt could manage to get a swimming program approved for the kids to get an intro. Imagine the benefits of Kitt teaching water safety and to help them overcome childhood fears of water. It could be a huge confidence builder for the kids, and even more so for Kitt to see his own impact and value.

    Chapter 22

Snide remarks and inflections often turn simple words or expressions into insults. It’s terrible that it happens but sometimes the ole sticks and stones mentality really is empowering…if we don’t empower them then they have only a hollow mantra. I’ve seen generations of people playing into and preying upon the very nature of getting under someone’s skin; it’s either revenge or power driven usually. A snide Adam and Steve comment around me probably brought a reply somewhat; well only guys comfortable in there sexuality and masculinity should be playing around in this garden. I grew up attending high school at the height of the racial riots of the late sixties and early seventies. My school was majority white until massive bussing turned the school majority black…not integrated, but disproportionately black. Yet the kids attending weren’t even found to be the cause of the riots; it was activist stirring hatred and starting riots, but then magically disappearing before the reactions caught them in play. I was personally suspended 3 times my freshman year for riot/fighting; that was when they cordoned of areas and all within were sent home guilty of fighting. Then they started getting better at tracking incidents, people, and witnesses. That’s when the activist were found to not even be students there, or at least not most of them. Unfortunately, human nature and personal interests all too often pull us in unlikely directions until we learn to real truth and the motives. The people staying true to themselves and to humanity, as good people, were all fine when the dust settled; life continued until the next wave of activism tried to tell everyone what they were feeling. Many black students and parents didn’t agree with what the so called black leaders espoused as necessary for white people to accept or embrace as necessary for black society within white america. 🤔 What? We were all taught as Americans until these people kept driving wedges and decides between…Americans. As a fair percentage of native Cherokee and other tribal mixes, I very much remember my grandfather’s response when I asked about being Cherokee,” you don’t worry, they won’t know if you don’t tell anyone.” His father had been a child when the family jumped from the state of Georgia into the territory of Alabama. The census shows the family off and on as Indian and white…many times based on whether the census taker interviewed neighbors or family members directly, as taking census didn’t mean every person had to be spoken to, just accounted for. The trail of tears avoided, the family stayed under the radar for the decades when that was still a sensitive topic. So I guess coming back full circle, adapting is not conceding, read the room and stay safe; but don’t ever empower others to have power over anyone if avoidable. Just think, whether Adam and Eve, or Adam and Steve, if they had been southern Cajuns they would have eaten the snake instead of the apple and we could all have avoided a lot of these problems. 🤣

    Chapter 8

Lloyd on a latrine break; the loo being out of frame; perhaps where Thunderbolt is looking.

    Chapter 8

The context could be speaking of your god and ours; collectively our gods.

    Chapter 8

Well, Julian is well read. He may know enough to break the code so that Wylan gets is alphabet and vocabulary going.

    Chapter 8

What, did you skip the rest? Man, you missed out on valuable nap time. How did you make it through the night?
  13. Philippe

    Chapter 8

Right, why not have night savings time, rest more time, extra hanky panky time. As my grandfather, then my father used to say, nothing good happens after midnight. Well, my youthful brilliance would burst or blurt something like , then why do we come home when things are getting interesting? 🤔 oh well, good luck kick starting your day.

    Chapter 7

Yeah, that does pop and sizzle.

    Chapter 7

Now the pig army has to learn how to raise their pinkies as they drink Lord Wylan’s new champagne cashe.

    Chapter 7

Maybe he took the expression of learning how to use his pig sticker a little too literal??

    Chapter 7

I can’t help but chuckle at the names alone; pudding, ass-hot, etc. This reminds me of the US campaign for parenthood/child awareness; it’s 10 o’clock, do you know where your squires are?
  18. Philippe

    Chapter 7

Well, he is in Wylan’s service, his guard, but point taken. The wager was winner take all that the loser had…so while Wylan collects winnings, he had nothing but his man servant protector to lose. 😆 Pretty good horse trading, as expected from a stable boy! 🐎

    Chapter 7

The bigger they are…the harder they fall; and fall he did, may have swallowed his balls too. Perhaps that was part of the choked sobs, choked on his balls coming one direction and his massive pride sinking in the opposing direction. As we say down south…Bless His Heart!

    From someone experienced with spurs…

    Can you Count De Balls?

    Chapter 6

Switch out the chandeliers for the disco balls and laser lights, let this smash up of medieval and modern society, hi society, get the show started with some disco moves.

    Chapter 5

I inherited my mom’s cat, that was dumped along our street/yard. The poor thing was only 515g and not wheened. He is part Maine Coon, a long haired red tabby, with a big bushy tail. He is harness and leashed trained and likes to be out in the yard while I’m outside; he spent today with me washing cars and installing new car tags. He’s very social as long as I’m around, otherwise, he is more of an observer. He likes to perch against the door to look outside as we drive on my road trips. I was raised with dogs for pets and companions, this is my one and only cat ever. What a spoiled cat he is.

    Chapter 5

Oh the joy and trust between a boy and his dog, especially when bonded along the ages that you and your dog were. Mine was Bandit, named from the coat pattern being like the little Bandit from Johnny Quest. Though my Bandit was a Boxer and Birddog mix, but he had no real outward characteristics being part boxer. His lines and colors were more bird dog. We were bonded at very near the same age as your story seems to place you. I had many night, early morning, paper deliveries, down long dirt roads, on a bicycle. Bike lights of those years were mostly useless and batteries weren’t much better. The dirt roads didn’t allow effective use of the little tire driven generators. So occasional street lights, a little moonlight, and bravery…of having Bandit trotting at my side, every dark morning.

    Chapter 5

Watch out, as that is a double edged sword.
