Hmm, reading Jeff's review, I'm thinking I may have misunderstood the last chapter! lol Anyway...I'm so intrigued about this whole story. As I said in one of my previous reviews, I love the back and forth banter between Dorothy and Seth.
-
Ah, so the dame's a mister. lol What a ground-breaker Dorothy is! That was probably unheard of back then.
-
What a wonderful first chapter! Now you have me wondering who the guys in the prologue are! I'm looking forward to the next chapter!
-
What a beautifully written birthday card! Hopefully his partner won't disappoint him in the next chapter!
-
What a wonderful chapter, Mac!! Travis is really showing his vulnerable side, and being the macho man he is, I'm sure that was not easy for him to do. Yay for Ben staying! I can see where his agent/personal secretary would be going nuts with this trip. Nothing has gone according to plan, and she has no idea why! lol But more importantly -- I'll watch Sasha and Beau!!! My neighbor has a beautiful English mastiff named Sasha, whom I've dogsitted for many times. She's a gentle giant. I'm anxiously awaiting the next installment!
-
Natasha, I'm really enjoying how you're wording things like '...my interrogation skills need polishing'. I really like Seth's sarcasm. This story gets more interesting with each chapter.

It sounds like Dorothy has done this sort of detective work before. lol She's very good at it!

I've been reading all these reviews, and your readers are so divided! I found myself nodding in agreement to a lot of them, but then the next review (the complete opposite!), I'd nod also!! I totally understand how betrayed Dustin feels. For all of Billy's "I need to control my anger" mantra or whatever, he's doing a piss poor job of it! He can't keep his mouth shut! Let Dustin get it out. Stop interrupting and getting angry. Jesus! Dustin has a shit home life, and Billy was his only friend. I feel for him, I really do. I'm glad to see Jerry's better, but his father's a real asshole. Plus, I can't believe a "mother" would just up and leave her kids!! I hope Jerry does well being away from his father. I feel sorry for his brothers. Another great chapter, Jeff! I think this was the mild "calm" before the storm. Dustin is just itching to rough someone up, and I believe that someone is going to be Brett.
-
Hudson! You snuck this chapter in on me! I didn't see it yesterday. I really like how Erik (and Ryan I think) are getting comfortable with each other. Ryan's opening up to Erik, which is a pleasant surprise because he's always so private and guarded. I do like Erik's 'solution' to Ryan's feeling so exposed, although I think even with being on top, his emotions will show through. It just seems that with Erik, Ryan can't consciously control his emotions like he can with other porn scenes. I also didn't realize Ryan was so well read and intelligent!

Poor little Kai. He must be so scared, and now he finds out his grandfather didn't make it. What an awesome chapter, Stannie! I'm so glad Ryan and his mom are alive. But why wouldn't they look for the pilots in the cockpit? Or at least find one of the stewardesses -- they should know as much as the pilots. Can't wait for chapter three!

Chapter 25: A life worth living?
Lisa commented on Stannie's story chapter in Chapter 25: A life worth living?
Stannie!!! You're back!! Yay!!!! What a mentally exhausting chapter! It's hard to keep up with all this intellectual philosophical talk!! I actually feel sad for Adam because he seems so lost with his own being. How can he be exhausted just being alive? He can be exhausted going to school every day and staying up late doing homework, or participating in sports...Idk. It just makes me sad reading about Adam's thoughts. He definitely has a purpose: As Seth said, he's the AB; thousands of people read his blog. He has to continue with that -- keeping them informed and thinking about stuff no one else thinks about! So, only three days to go before he takes off. Will he see Codey? His father? Will he see Tyde at all? His mom will be totally heartbroken if he's gone for such a long period of time. She's all alone now. -
I have a feeling mama already knows about Tristan. Lori is wonderful.I have to admit, I've always thought of Lori as kind of ditzy, but she totally blew me out of the water in this chapter. She's very smart and insightful, and she knows Tristan better than he probably knows himself. Now, Tristan and Jesse have already exchanged 'I love yous' numerous times, so why is Tristan so nervous now? He knows Jesse loves him too, so whatever they talk about should be cake.

Take Time with a Wounded Hand
Lisa commented on jkwsquirrel's story chapter in Take Time with a Wounded Hand
It will be very hard for Billy to forgive himself if he can't forgive others. Or is it the other way around? I know you can't love others unless you love yourself, so maybe this is the same principle. Like Jay said, I know Billy didn't want to see his father in the hospital because seeing his father like that, hooked up to machines and whatnot, is not only scary, but it definitely takes the 'strong father' out of the equation, so to speak. It's hard seeing a parent you rely on lying in a hospital bed, totally helpless. I also believe Billy didn't want to see his dad because he's still angry with him. He needs to find it in himself to forgive his father. Hey, look at Dustin; he gets beat up by his father AND his sister all the time! Billy's so lucky compared to him! And after all, Billy was being an ass, and sometimes parents just act on knee-jerk reactions, like slapping. Huge pet peeve of mine: mad/angry. A high school teacher once told us that dogs get mad, but people get angry. Mad is actually like crazy, loco, where angry is angry. They are two completely different words, and they mean completely different things. I don't know why people started using mad for angry, but it drives me MAD!!!! Seriously though, it does drive me crazy. Unfortunately, 99% of the population uses mad for angry. GRRRRRRR!!!! This was another great chapter, Jeff! Can't wait for the next one. Hopefully Billy won't get caught in the middle of B&D fighting with each other! -
Wow! What a chapter, Sui!! This reads better than any 007 book/movie! I really like Taewon. He loves Kian so much; it's so obvious. Surprisingly, Lina doesn't seem to mind. Now, how exactly does Taewon make money being a hermit? It is a bummer that they have to just pack up and move. Everything else just stays there...what about house payments? Utility bills? Things like that? I always seem to focus on the shit no one else does! At least He and She won't be abandoned!!! They still have a home to go back to! Kian's grandfather seems like he really misses him. Well, the younger version of Kian, the one who dutifully listened to his every command. What will he do to his grandson when/if he sees him again? Awesome chapter, Sui -- looking forward to the next one!

What an awesome chapter, Parker! I really think Wally is starting to feel empathy for others. That was apparent when he felt badly for everything that had happened when Michael was younger. He's definitely turning a corner. He feels sadness and emptiness when he sees Michael and Trey because they represent young love, which he had never experienced. He feels envy when he sees Javier and Oscar because he never had any kind of relationship with anyone. His "relationships" were all business. The ending was adorable! Oscar's so happy, and Javi is being an overprotective dad. It's so cute! M&T were cute being all shy and everything.

Excellent chapter, Lit! I see how a lot of readers are bashing Alek, and I know I was one of them. But...as Puppi said, we don't know how miserable he is with the lady he's with now. If he's gay, then he's got to be miserable, right? Maybe the changes he's making in his life are going to keep. He knows he shouldn't string Liam along (and Liam shouldn't let him!), and I don't think he is now. Anyway, enough of Alek, on to Nathan! Yum! lol Nathan sounds great, and yes, polite, as Marty put it to include him in his 'pizza/movie date' with Liam. I didn't see it as a date at all, but just getting together to hang out. And Marty moving to Toronto would be awesome! Not being from Canada I Googled where Halifax is and where Kingston is. I didn't realize Kingston was so close to upstate NY! So Marty would be only 2 1/2 hours away, right? Much better than a plane ride! lol

Yay! I've read all four authors this time! I agree with everyone else; this is a great feature, and I love reading about the authors on GA.

Interesting start, Natasha! I'm looking forward to reading more.

Well, Hrishi did say it's probably best that they don't talk! They seem to be able to do lots of stuff together without talking! lol I was just waiting for drunk-boy Marty to spill the beans to his friends! I know with Leon and Jerome that won't go over well. I don't know anything about Aaron, though. It's unimaginable to me to understand why parents stay together if they're constantly fighting and throwing things at one another. Marty is going to lose his mind if he has to keep listening to them fight the way they do. It's horrible. No kid should have to see/hear their parents like that. As always, Sasha, this was another hella awesome chapter!

Awesome story, Ivor! I'm so glad they got back together! It was totally understandable that Billy Joe (not to be confused with Billie Joe Armstrong, or was that who Billie Jo Spears was supposed to be? lol), was angry with his husband for just assuming he was screwing around. Of course ANYONE would come to that conclusion with the condoms in the pocket! But why didn't Billy Joe tell his husband about Jake? Why the secrecy? Oh, I just wanted to point out a few things American: we wouldn't say 'row', we'd say 'fight', and 'round here' would be 'around here'. There were a few other things that I can't remember now. All that would be fine if the guys were British, but they were from NY! lol Anyway, awesome story, Ivor!

Awesome chapter, Mac! I wonder if Ben ever realized before, like he did in this chapter, how he hides behind his characters. He wears a mask with each character he plays, and each character is so good at letting him hide his true feelings. As for Ben, Audra, and Bryan, I think they all need to sit down and talk civilly and find out why there's so much discord with Audra and Bryan over Ben. (Did that make sense? I can't think now; my brain shut down. lol) And Travis showing up with the sunglasses (finally!) was an added bonus!

C S R Discussion Day: The Pledge By Mikiesboy
Lisa commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Tim! Congrats on being featured!! I did not know you went to culinary school! I think that's awesome! Personally, I think you're an inspiration, and I'm in awe of everything you've accomplished. I've read a few of your stories and your poems and have enjoyed what I read immensely. I just need more time in the day to read everything. Congrats again, Tim! =) -
The Boy in the Recovery Unit
Lisa commented on jkwsquirrel's story chapter in The Boy in the Recovery Unit
It's so good to see these boys again, Jeff! So Billy really did a number on his arm. Jesus. He's gonna have a cast on until he's thirty! I can see Billy's point about Dustin telling everyone what happened, but seriously, that's what happened, and Dustin shouldn't hide it. Billy needs help. He just totally blew up at Dustin. He needs to learn how to cope with all his anger instead of blowing up at everyone. I hope Jenny can help him. On to chapter two. -
Sui!!! I feel like I just won the lottery! Two chapters posted in one day!! It seems like Kian still loves Taewon. He sacrificed a lot for him. But how does Lina fit in to all this? Is she "with" Taewon? And who was it who called for Daven when Kian answered Daven's phone? Awesome chapter, Sui!

How can I possibly be the first reviewer?? Ok, so this is what I think: I think Erik's gonna get to Ryan's, and they'll wind up talking and maybe even watching the video together (this will be Erik's idea, definitely not Ryan's! ). This will most certainly get them both all hot and bothered, and you know where it'll go from there! They won't be able to resist one another, despite all of Ryan's efforts to do just that! Awesome chapter, Hudson!
