So apparently Travis and Doug have shared other guys. I'm glad Travis staked his claim on Ben. I just hope Ben doesn't downplay their relationship to the press. I think Travis would be really hurt. Ben is taking the article rather well. I'd still like to know if this is all Katy's doing. Awesome chapter, Mac!

Nathan is such a wonderful guy, and I know he'd be good to Liam. On the other hand, Alek did come out to his family, and he broke it off with his fake girlfriend. But...will family pressures keep him true to himself? Or will he buckle under the pressure? Does Liam want to give him yet ANOTHER chance, despite Alek doing what Liam wanted by coming out to his family? I would really hate to be Liam right now. lol Great chapter, Lit!

I'm still trying to find my way around the site, so that's why my review, sorry, COMMENT, is late. Anyway...it's scary to think that hurting people and raping them are so ingrained in TP's personality that he almost reverted back to TP. Thank God he realized what he was about to do to Graham. Scott is finally learning how to put someone else first, and he's enjoying it. TP was jealous of Marc and Lee's relationship, and now Scott has a chance on having the same kind of loving relationship with Graham. When he gets off that boat, he really needs to thank Marc for getting him that job. I think the TP of yesterday is totally unrecognizable in the form of Scott of today. (Did that even make sense? lol) This was another awesome chapter, Parker!

I found the 'meeting' in Bill's office pretty comical. It was like Bill had no idea what to say and just went along with whatever Cameron suggested. I'm also wondering, and again, forgive me if it's been mentioned, but besides Cameron, did anyone think of murder? If Kohler hated baths, then why was he found dead in a bathtub? Just curious...

Has Jim mentioned his accident before? If so, I'm sorry for not remembering that. That was pretty tragic that Jim couldn't play ball anymore for Tulane after his accident. Jim's trying his best to be a good friend to Carrie, who certainly could use one now. I'm sure she just wasn't thinking when she was talking about Dane's wedding. I'm sure she didn't realize how insensitive she was.

What a great story, Natasha! I truly enjoyed it; you had me sitting on the edge of my seat from the beginning! I'm glad Seth and Dorothy/David are in this for the long haul. I can't wait to read more from you. =)

Omg, was that funny! What a cute story! And who doesn't love Bonnie Tyler? That song from Footloose/Shrek is her best one yet! I couldn't help but laugh at all the true-to-life references in this short story. Awesome job, Secret AJ!

Along with most everyone else, I was expecting either a gun or his own book, but this was definitely better! Now I know where you got the title, mixing in the waiter-speak and lawyer-speak. I hope the narrator takes that lying, cheating fucker to the cleaners! Awesome story, Secret AJ! )

What a funny story, Secret AJ! I really enjoyed this. Since I am totally clueless, I did NOT figure out who the pranksters were, so it was even more fun when Ted got out his hoodie and Ryan got out whatever it was he got out (I forget now, there were so many pranks!). And now Ted and Ryan finally got together to start plotting more pranks.

@ Drought: Call him. You'll be living with 'what if' if you don't. It's worth a shot, but you won't know unless you try. Ok, on to the story! This was such a good story, Secret AJ! I loved Conrad's sense of humor, but I totally get that he hates being born on April Fool's Day. His family was pretty obnoxious (especially Ella!) when it came to gifts and such. I was wondering about Conrad's cane and the fact that he felt he needed it. Maybe he was using the cane as an excuse because it was the only thing that still tied him to that d-bag Neill. Even though he couldn't stand his cheating ass, it might have been hard for him to let go. Even after two years. Just a thought. Anyway, I totally loved this story, and I'm so glad C&C finally got together!!

Damn! AC and Parker stole my line! I so loved this story!! It was so sweet and heartwarming. When Martin told Oliver to stay in touch and Oliver said ok, I was wondering how he was going to do that with no contact information. And how the hell did he last all those weeks without his briefcase????? Full of student papers???? Did he give them all A's at least? lol

Loved this chapter, Natasha! Dorothy is one smart girl! Jennifer did practically confess though, didn't she? When they were all in the kitchen, but then Mike came in and tried to protect her...I pretty much thought she confessed to killing Damien. I'm really going to be sorry when this is over.

Ha, Gary was in the dark for a lot of this -- I was in the dark for the majority of it! You really had me going there for awhile; I felt so much sympathy for Ray because he lost Morgan. I thought Morgan had left him. Well, technically he did, but only because Ray killed him. This was a very well-written and compelling story, Secret AJ. I was really sitting at the edge of my seat waiting for what would happen next. Awesome job!!

What a beautiful and heartwarming story, Secret AJ. I'm still all choked up about it. Especially the part where Peter's mom had to leave the room to get a tissue. Evan is a wonderful cousin and a good friend. It's so heartwarming (I said it again) to see Peter and Jimmy so happy. And everything is so simple for them in explanation. I like boys, so I must be gay. Now if all boys could admit that... Kudos to Peter for telling the teacher she needs to talk about boys and boys as well as boys and girls. Good for him! This is a story I could read over and over again and never get tired of it. =)

April Fool's Short Story Contest * Voting Open *
Lisa commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors Archive
I've only read the first one so far, so I have a ways to go. I'm looking forward to all the great stories! I love guessing the author and voting contests. Will we be guessing the author also? Thanks for doing all this for us, Renee! And thanks to Reader for counting the votes. -
I loved it! The joke was definitely a bit on the mean side, but now I know why Jayce was so sure he'd know Andy at first site; the female 'Jayce' confirmed it was him. Right? I'm glad it all worked out in the end, and I'm sure a few years from now (if they're still together), Andy and the female 'Jayce' will be laughing about this. The story itself was very well written, and I would love to visit these characters again. Thanks, AJ!

What a big family that used to be. How'd the mom die? What happened with Maddie? Jim sort of insinuated suicide, but I wasn't sure. This was definitely a good chapter to get to know Jim, even a little. I didn't realize he was so young. So he's the youngest of the kids? Oh no, Carol is the youngest, right? I'm so confused! lol

I'm so glad Travis finally told Katy the truth about Eric. She needed to hear it, so she could forget about him once and for all. Ben's nightmare was totally anxiety ridden. Thank God it wasn't real; I was ready to go in the stall myself and rip Travis a new one! Of course, it just shows that Ben is still not over the fact that Travis sells himself for money.

What rock was I hiding under that I missed this hella awesome chapter?! I felt like I was right there watching the mother cow give birth. That's how great your details were. Especially when the calf is still covered in amniotic fluid and his mom is dripping it! So yeah, where the hell did Eric come from? And why is he there suddenly? Katy has no idea what he did to her brother, and even though Travis is acting like a bully to her, in his own way he's just trying to protect her. Ok, on to the next chapter I missed!

Oh boy, those feelings of anxiety, hoping to see the person you're crushing on, can drive you crazy. Especially thinking they might feel the same way as you do, despite the fact they told you otherwise. I'm glad in the light of day, Graham feels the same about Scott/Wally/TP as he did last night. Another stupid question (yes, I am full of them! ): Since they were both sitting so close to the other people at the table, I'm wondering if there were others who picked up on their infectious smiles and grins aimed at each other. Maybe that's not really a question, but a comment. If Cookie had seen S&G looking at each other like that, he would have figured it out. I was actually waiting for Cookie or someone to walk in to the galley when Graham was calling over his shoulder, "Scott." lol

Along with a bunch of your other readers, I too, think Marty is the one Liam's calling. Marty can't tell Liam what to do (like Corey couldn't), but he can be a good ear and maybe give Liam a different perspective. Hell, maybe even Nathan can give Liam his take on the Alek conundrum. From Alek's conversation with his father, it seems to me that he finally came out. His father giving him a second 'chance' (At what? Not being a deviant? lol), tells me he really doesn't want to do anything drastic like kick Alec out of the business or anything. Corey is such a wonderful person! What a great guy he is to offer financial assistance for Liam's school! Here we call that educational assistance -- when the employer pays for the employee to go back to school as long as it's job related. It's not always the case in small companies, I suppose, so kudos to Corey. This was another great chapter, Lit.

Drew seemed like a really good guy. I wonder if Drew Kohler died in a Kohler tub. Yeah, yeah, lame, I know. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, CLO!!!!! I'm glad you had an awesome day!

VAL!!!!! Congrats on being featured!!!! I'm so excited for you!! As you know, I love all your stories. I really enjoy the anthos, especially when you write sequels, such as the different stories with Max and Elliot. Vodka at Moonlight was indeed creepy but very enjoyable. I love how you got the name 'Vodka' from a racehorse! For anyone not familiar with Val's writing, I would recommend reading all of her stories. You won't be sorry.

The ending there was a bit strange. I had a feeling she knew. Why did she pretend she didn't know what Luke was talking about? Does she want to discuss this with Jackson when Luke's not around? The 'I love you' was a great affirmation, though. Cindzilla -- that's a great name, and so appropriate! Why the hell would she and Henry be at a freezing football game when their kids weren't even playing/cheering? Just so she could keep an eye on Luke? Or Jackson? Did she really think they would suddenly strip and get it on right there on the freezing bleachers for all to see? I didn't realize Jackson had dated all the girls in their group. lol He's maturing, though, because he realizes he cares for Luke more than he did when he was with the girls. Even Ally. He'll be the one who'll want to come out way before Luke would. Great chapter, Krista!
