Week Three Thursday September 18, 2014: Prospects
Lisa commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Three Thursday September 18, 2014: Prospects
So yeah, I'm agreeing with all your other reviewers; this does not seem like Twoey. I guess his question a few chapters back about him becoming a slut may be answered now. I hope to God at least he thinks of condoms. Hopefully Mattie will have them; Twoey doesn't seem responsible enough to take care of himself in that way. Now David's anger is starting to worry me. Maybe he does need to talk to someone. Wait until Saturday at the movies when Kathy takes his arm or something and starts talking all lovey dovey. He might flip out. -
Week Three Wednesday September 17, 2014: Milestone
Lisa commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Three Wednesday September 17, 2014: Milestone
Tsk, tsk, Erik - no condom??? Sure, Twoey's a virgin, but you're not! I agree with Twoey; he certainly wasn't ready yet, IMO. But at least Erik was sort of romantic saying he wanted to make love to him instead of "I wanna fuck your brains out." And he did have patience with Twoey, not shoving himself in really fast. It's good Twoey's thinking of moving ahead, b/c he knows he can't go back, but I think he's going to wind up regretting giving up his v-card to Erik. Like David, I am also wondering why Larry Lewis wants to meet with him and Biggy. Maybe so David could apologize to Biggy? Idk... I do like that David is emotional, and he doesn't just want a wham, bam, thank you ma'am (or mister hehe). He needs an emotional connection to someone. I think he's getting emotionally connected to Twoey, and he doesn't even realize it! After all, he didn't even THINK about that punch he gave Biggy - he saw Biggy "attack" Twoey, and he was up and in Biggy's face justlikethat. And as David mused, if Twoey wasn't the one Biggy "attacked", would David have done the same thing? Ok, on to the next chapter! -
What a touching chapter, Mom! Eddie stole his whole scene! He's so cute. I'm so glad they'll all be living together as one happy family. Hopefully, with the therapist helping him, Bryan can let go of all the guilt he feels. Well, since you mentioned you wanted to be told of any errors... 'Bryan looked chagrinned' - chagrined only has one 'n'. 'Wyatt gritted his teeth' Grit is an irregular past tense (and present tense) verb, so you can say 'Wyatt grit his teeth'. The capital 'H' for home should be lowercase b/c it's not a proper noun. If you said The Beacon Estates Home, then yes, it should be capitalized. The verbs beamed, smiled, etc. are not dialogue tags, so they need a period after them, not a comma. That's it! I wouldn't have said anything if you didn't ask...

What a sad song. They sing such great songs about being forgotten, being lost and confused...they're such a great band. My kid and I love them and listen to them in the car all the time. I noticed this is from 2015; do they have a new CD out I don't know about? lol Thanks for posting this, WL!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOUDINII!!!! I hope you had a great day!

I ditto everyone! lol Glad Darrin finally came to his senses and realized he was a controlling, abusive ass. And as Reader said, "Don't let the door hit you on your way out!" lol Thank God Wyatt will be ok. And thank God for Sarah - what a lifesaver. I see a match made in heaven with her and Woods. She'll be a stepmom before we know it. I'm really looking forward to Wyatt and Eddie meeting. I think Eddie's gonna be a wonderful brother-in-law! This was another excellent, emotional chapter, Mom!

So sad about Reece's landlord, but it did give Dave the opportunity to mention moving in together. It was a big step that Dave took, and Reece should feel very pleased that Dave trusts him so much with his heart. Great chapter, Renee!

Goddamn, I just ran out of Kleenex. Tim, that was such a beautiful story. I think one of the most beautiful stories I've read. The best part about it, is the fact that it's a true story. I think my tears started when you started having a good time with Mike, and you realized you enjoyed his company. Both your vows were beautiful, which brought a new onset of happy tears. Congratulations to you and Mike, and may the next six years and beyond, be as wonderful as the last six.

Well, the formatting was better, but there were some things that I didn't understand from the way they were written. Anyway...it seems like this Douglas guy is planning something relating to Davy. Now who was the guy on the phone? And how did someone get into Steve's apartment (house?) to plant Francis' note? And was it Francis? So many questions! Inquiring minds want to know (well, at least mine. lol).

I'm on pins and needles now, MGK. Suicide is never the answer. There is always hope somewhere deep down inside. You just have to look for it. I know the pain, despair, and betrayal Davy is talking about, but there's always something to hope for. Davy is young; he has his whole life ahead of him, he can't give up now. He needs to talk to someone. Maybe the person who sent him the email. Hopefully it's not spam. MGK, I don't know if it was in the formatting, but throughout the chapter there were words that were stuck together, likethis. Just thought you might like to know in case you want to go back and stick a space between them. Ok, on to chapter two.

What a horrible experience Dave had! What a shit of a b/f! To tell him he was just doing it for fun in college? Jeezus, how insulting can you get? I would be totally gun shy if I were Dave, not trusting anybody. Once one person betrays your trust, then all bets are off for anyone else. Glad Reece isn't like that ex. Great chapter, Renee!
-
How did I miss this chapter? Now I'm curious about Dave. What happened to him? He must have gotten pretty burned in the past. But Reece won't hurt him. It's great that Reece's cousins (well, most of them), realize their parents are shits, and are there to support Reece.

Well, as Reader said, I can't beat Parker's review. =) I relied heavily on my Kleenex throughout the chapter. The whole realization that Eddie lived a little of what Wyatt went through (but of course not to that extreme), really threw Bryan (spelled his name wrong in my last review, sorry!), for a loop. He wasn't expecting his own mother, his own flesh and blood who bore he and Eddie, to be such a conniving, cold-hearted MD. When the doctor came and told Bryan, Sarah, and Eddie Wyatt's condition, it was amazing to think that he was even alive after all that suffering. So he might have brain damage as well as heart damage, and God knows what else. But Bryan loves him so much, he'll be there for him no matter what. Sarah is a godsend. What an amazing friend. Smart too -- good thinking about being able to hang out with Eddie while Bryan is taking care of Wyatt. This way Eddie gets to stay with Bryan. I think that's where he should stay -- with Bryan. We know Bryan has been all for that for a long time -- it was just MD who was against it. Another excellent chapter, Mom!

Funny how the worst day of Ian's life turned out to be the best day of Ian's life. lol I'm soooo glad Miles didn't forget their 2-month anniversary - that would have been terrible! Just out of curiosity, does Ian take anti-anxiety meds? Just sayin'...
-
Now we know why Ian's so insecure - it's all b/c of his asshole ex, Markey. So sweet that he and Miles fell in love at the same time.
-
Lol, I love your response to AC's review! This un-story! lol As Tim said, Ian is very needy. This insecurity is not a good thing for a relationship. Ian needs to take calming breaths and not freak out so much. If he continues this, Miles will really get tired of it, and that's when trouble will really start.
-
Yeah, what they said! Hopefully Ian will learn that it should take a helluva lot more than one little argument to ruin a relationship! All this angst over decaf coffee? (A can - decaf soda? Like Ginger Ale? lol) I know, I know, I'm focusing way too much on the small things.

Week Three Tuesday September 16, 2014: Crime and Punishment
Lisa commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Three Tuesday September 16, 2014: Crime and Punishment
I tried copying and pasting that last line, but it didn't work. Omg, I was and with that one! Twoey's so funny! hehe He's not a slut; he's just a teenage boy. Ok, so Danny's pissed at everyone b/c they're meddling in David's life and he has the hots for David. Is that why he's pissed at Twoey? Ah, I just read Defiance's review and it makes total sense, comparing Danny's asshole sperm donor to the gang ganging up on David and pushing he and Kathy to be more than friends. Well, we'll see what happens when David comes back to school. Great chapter, as usual, Skinny! -
Week Three Monday September 15, 2014: Out of Control
Lisa commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Three Monday September 15, 2014: Out of Control
Wait, did I miss something? Why would Danny be pissed at Twoey? Twoey didn't say anything about Danny. Maybe I need to read the last chapter again. lol Yes, the shit's gonna hit the fan. David is wound very tight, as Defiance said. I think when he hit Biggy, something snapped in him, and all his anger and frustration just came out, and he went bonkers! I think instead of grounding David and taking away all his electronics, Tommy's mom (hehe) should try to help him - talk to him. How is taking everything away going to solve anything? Oh, so he won't fight again and get suspended? Only b/c he doesn't want to be grounded again? That doesn't teach him anything. Tommy's mom has to find out WHY he went crazy in the first place. Again, I agree with Defiance (I think I'll just say my usual: I ditto Defiance, or Gary, or CG...lol); I think Twoey's mom could help David. And yes, Gary and Nels are idiots! lol On to the next chapter! -
Yeah, when Troye saw the other boy holding hands with the girl, I could feel his pain. What a betrayal. Just to make his old man happy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY M!!!! I hope you're having an awesome day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY YETTIE!!!! Hope you had a great day! Hope you come back soon!

That video was so sad, Drew.

I'm so proud of Avery! Even though he knows his fear is irrational, he can't help being afraid. It's like trying to rationalize a fear a person with OCD has -- you can talk till you're blue in the face, and deep inside, the person knows you're right, but he can't change that part of his brain which is dominating his thinking. I think if he faces other fears the way he faced the oatmeal fear, he'll be great. Baby steps, right? Great short, Mom! I love catching up with A&M.
-
Yay for Eddie - boo for MD. Unlike all your other readers, I didn't want Mommy Dearest dead! I wanted her to suffer! In the big house! With Big Mama as her cellmate! Seriously though, I definitely would have liked to see MD suffer. Torture would have been good. But at least she can't hurt anyone anymore. Poor Eddie. He had to go his whole life being put in a damp, moldy basement CHAINED to a fucking bed or whatever it was he was chained to. What a wicked witch/bitch (thank you Val and Defiance! ). How can one person have so much hate inside them that they would do things like this to their own flesh and blood? Excellent, nail-biting chapter, Mom! Now on to your A&M shorts. =)
