Warrior - I totally agree with Kitt; you need to talk to someone. A professional who has experience with this, not an online fiction writing/reading community. You need to get to the root of why you're depressed, and have/had suicidal thoughts. Also, the social anxiety could very well be a 'fallout', for lack of a better word, of the depression.

Shit, David hasn't spoken with Tommy's mother in DAYS?? And Tommy's mother doesn't think this is strange?? lol She's wondering why he wants to see a shrink? lol I'd be totally freaked hearing David and Gary telling me to stay away from Danny's house! Poor Twoey. What is going on in Danny's house? Poor Danny! So Lanni has a twin, and Lanni's the quiet one. As Parker said, I'm glad David was thinking logically about this, and he didn't fly off the handle. See, he's learning! lol Twoey should feel Lanni out for sure, before he trusts her with his secret. That could totally backfire on him if she betrayed his trust. If she can be trusted, even though she'll be EXTREMELY disappointed, at least she won't be strung along like Kathy.

Well that was depressing. The narrator (the cook I'm assuming), does not seem like a happy person.

I really enjoyed the story, Renee! Reece and Dave are great together, and Dave's parents are terrific! Maybe they'll adopt Reece! It was a great ending also; it showed promise of the love between Reece and Dave, and the love between the families - Dave and his folks and Reece and his cousins. It would be nice to visit them in a few months or so. Not that Reece's "parents" are going to change, but just to see how the boys are doing. His birth-giver and sperm donor are the ones who miss out on seeing how happy their son is, and they miss out on their son's love. They will never get that back unless they change.

Hmmm, Francis is meeting with Douglas (was that his last name?) the cop's boss, right? Interesting conversation Francis had with Zoe. It's too bad Davy never talked to him again after that kiss. I wonder what will happen now with Francis and the cop.

I'm so glad Reece and Dave made up. As far as Reece's birth-giver, she's a piece of work. "We didn't raise you to be gay." How can people in this day and age be so ignorant? I don't understand. Poor Reece. It's better he just stops communicating with them, and the rest of the homophobic 'elders' in his family. At least he has his cousins.

I ditto Val and Mann. I'm not a writer, but as a reader, if I see errors in just the description of the story, I won't bother reading it. This is just my opinion, but I feel if an author is going to put up a story that many, many people will read (hopefully!), then he/she better make sure it's as perfect as it can be. Don't just throw anything up there and say you'll "edit" it later. No -- edit it before you post it. Sharon put it the best when she wrote that errors act as speed bumps for the eyes; I couldn't have said it better. Readers don't want to stop to try and figure out spelling or grammatical errors. If you're not good with spelling or grammar, then find an editor. I believe a posted story is a reflection on the author, and as Mann said, if the story has too many errors, it's obvious the author doesn't care about his/her work. So why should the readers?

Another great poem, Doc! Hopefully the good looking boy will give the narrator enough confidence to think he himself is cool too!

Tim, this was another excellent review! I haven't read this story yet, but I have read a lot of stories by RJ. He is definitely a great writer who always leaves me feeling good after reading his stories. I really like the fact that his stories deal with many different types of characters (is that called genderqueer, as his logo states?), and he always writes beautiful descriptions of all the locations in the stories. This is another story I have to check out.

I really liked Erik in this chapter! Phew! Thank God he used a condom last week! I can see where Twoey is going to be very confused; he already has feelings for Danny and Matty, now you're throwing Erik into the mix (previously it was just sex -- no feelings), and Twoey will have his hands full! lol Oh, and let's not forget the crush he has on David! Oh yeah, and David's "crush" Lanni will be his date to the dance. David will have to be restrained otherwise all hell will break loose!! Oh, and speaking of David, wth?? He thinks he should start acting like Kathy's b/f????? He asked her to the movies again??? What the fuck's wrong with him? lol Like, he doesn't think he's giving her the wrong impression? lol This was another great chapter, Skinny! I especially like the part where Cal says tap out -- is he on the wrestling team also?

What an adorable chapter, Comsie! I love the way Tristan feels so sad and upset that he has to go home. He wishes he could stay with Jesse forever! lol So realistic though of young love/infatuation. The 'just one more kiss, and then I'll leave' was really cute -- Jesse's kisses are like potato chips; you can't stop at just one.

I had to read that last sentence over about five times before I realized 'Miles' wasn't a typo! lol I thought for sure it was Ian narrating!! Good to see Miles nervous for a change! lol

What a great friend Shawn is! Talking to Ian at 3:30 a.m.! Shawn is right; Ian needs to put the past (and Markey) behind him b/c as long as he fears that hold over him, he'll never move on and then Markey will win. Miles is nothing like Markey, and Ian needs to keep remembering that.

The chapter also brought back a lot of awesome memories of my best friend and me hanging out at the mall and ogling all the cute boys, and of course talking about all the cute boys in school. Ouch! I can imagine Reece's face when Dave walked away telling him he won't be his secret. Reece isn't asking Dave to be his secret. I agree with your readers; I think Dave needs to give Reece a little more time to deal with his mother. Dave MET his mother; he knows what a horrible person she is; he knows how poorly she treats her own son. Why on earth would Reece WANT to call her back? Reece is nothing like Dave's db ex. I really hope they can work through this. I also liked their grocery store trip.

I'm relieved to hear that Erik most probably slipped on a condom when Twoey wasn't coherent or something. lol I had the same thought Twoey did when Matty said he couldn't afford Danny. So Danny does pimp himself out? (Is that the right term? lol) And my mind is boggled also with the revelation of Twoey, his brother, and the Snyder twins. Holy shit! And David...what can we say about David? Apparently now he has a g/f. lol
