Jeez, I hope to God it wasn't the same drunk driver from Alex's accident! Now we know more about Aaron. I'd love to read his story after THH.
-
After I finished chapter ten, I reread the prologue so I could remember who the other guy in the story was. lol Now I need to read the prompt! This was such a wonderful story, Val, and I'm so glad I read it. I've been so sad this past week, and I've done so much crying, but for some weird reason, I wanted to cry about something else for a change, so I decided to finish your story. =)

Even though I knew this was coming, it didn't make it any easier to read. Sam has been through so much, and now this. So, so sad. He's lucky to have great friends to lean on for support. It's also tragic for Danny b/c Danny missed out on so many years with Alex just b/c of what their parents did. Their parents not only destroyed their relationship with their son, but they also ended a beautiful sibling relationship between Alex and Danny.

What a romantic chapter, Val! It was so beautiful! Like, LBO, it would be great if it ended here -- they both get their HEAs.
-
I'm finally catching up, Val! It was so important for Sam and Alex to be together again. I think it'll help Sam emotionally, b/c now Craig and the other assailants won't be the last people who were "with" Sam. It should also help his confidence knowing that Alex wanted to be with him, and in no way did he think Sam was dirty or tainted. Excellent chapter, Val. Hopefully they can find their way back to one another.

Jeez, Bill, I think I bit all my nails off! My heart's still pounding! What a scary nutcase! Thank God Mason had his parents to go to. Shit, did Clark get rid of all his boyfriends that way? He needs serious help. Wonder if he'll get it in the big house.

Great idea Mark has taking Brent and Matthew with him up to Trey's parents cabin. Brent needs a change of scenery. I don't understand what's happened to Jackie; she's gone totally crazy.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this segment of the AAA blog, because I always wondered about this too, mainly from the female authors, though. Great job, Dark!

So yeah, I'm just getting to the anthos now. lol I absolutely loved this story, Bill. I'm currently editing a story for a GA author that has to do with a teen who was born into a girl's body, but given the mind of a boy. Luckily her parents welcomed his male name, and they welcomed their older son, and packed away their "daughter's" clothes, etc. He came out as trans to his close friends, and then finally the school. It's heartbreaking to think of these kids, young kids, teens, etc., whose body doesn't match their mind or their personality. Now at least there is modern science that can help these people, but years ago trans people had nothing. As AC mentioned, look at Caitlyn Jenner - could she have done this years ago? Imagine how she felt her whole life stuck in a man's body, probably never dreaming she could be anything else. And now she's free to be who she was born to be. I think that's wonderful. And it's wonderful that Jasmine stuck to her guns and didn't back down b/c that's what her parents wanted her to do. Her father totally didn't 'get it', but I think her mom would have helped her more if her father wasn't in the picture. I'm glad she's happy now being the woman she was born to be.

Damn, I'm always late to the party! So yeah, almost two months later, and I'm FINALLY starting to read the anthos! lol I loved this one, Mom. Colt and Shane are definitely extending themselves to help Ryan, and that's a wonderful thing. As you and many of your readers have said, there are way too many Ryans out there in the world who will never have their own Colt or Shane looking out for them. They very well may have saved Ryan's life that night. Terrific antho, Mom!

Week Five Thursday October 2, 2014: The Beginning
Lisa commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Five Thursday October 2, 2014: The Beginning
This chapter made me cry. The description of the little church, the two caskets side by side, and then the cemetery where they were both lowered into the ground, just evoked so much sadness in me. Sadness for Danny, Twoey, Danny's mom, David...and of course Danny's brother. I'm so glad Danny was able to talk to someone about his feelings. From Carl's description of the turn of events that fateful night, I was under the impression their father wasn't trying to kill Danny - that was a total accident, and he might not have even been trying to kill Twoey, just scare him. He was really drunk after all. No one will ever know what he was thinking at that moment. What a revelation David got about Danny. All the gay boys are after David, and he's totally clueless. I think it would be great for David to help Twoey's mom with Twoey, and learn to cook at the same time. Maybe he could show Tommy's mom a thing or two about food. lol Terrific chapter, Skinny! -
Week Five Wednesday October 1, 2014: Meeting Dad
Lisa commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Five Wednesday October 1, 2014: Meeting Dad
Oh man, what the hell is Twoey's sperm donor doing there? Twoey doesn't need such an asshole around when (and please God 'if') he recovers. David learning to cook would be a GREAT idea! I loved when he said to Tommy, "Don't tell your mother..." That was hysterical! Tommy even knows he doesn't refer to their mom as 'mom'. lol Oh yes, wresting. My kid cut weight all four years in high school. The winter was certainly not a fun time for any of us. lol I'm so glad David went over to talk to Twoey's mom. I wonder if Erik and/or Matty have gone over? -
Warrior, you're only nineteen; you have your whole life ahead of you. You can do anything you put your mind to. Your dreams of becoming a model, actor, or writer have not gone to waste. Hey, there have been many actors and actresses who started acting late in life: http://www.inquisitr.com/2419775/actors-who-started-late-in-life-25-male-stars-who-began-their-acting-careers-later-in-life/ You have to take baby steps.

Thanks, Drew. She was spoiled, that's for sure. She's the fourth dog I lost. The third one was only 2 years ago. It's never easy, especially when it totally comes out of the blue. We didn't even know she was sick!

Thanks, Suvitar. It feels so surreal, like I'm having a bad dream or something. I keep waiting for her to walk out of my room or something and barking because she wants to go out.

Although this Jessie in the song is a boy, I dedicate this song to my sweet, lovable, beloved 12-yr-old lab, Jessie, who unexpectedly died on Halloween morning. I used to sing this to her when she was a puppy. RIP my sweet girl.

Week Five Tuesday September 30, 2014: A Faint Day
Lisa commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Five Tuesday September 30, 2014: A Faint Day
David hasn't even been paying attention to the fact that he's not eating. We know Tommy's mom is a horrible cook, but jeez, she's still his mother too -- doesn't she notice that he doesn't like her cooking and he barely eats? Can't she make some kind of an effort to learn to cook? Of course not eating is also a sign of depression.Could this whole Kathy mess be affecting him that much? He always acts so happy, but maybe deep down, he's depressed. Of course now with Danny's death and Twoey near death, this could very well increase his depression tenfold. Shit. I just realized there are no new chapters!!! -
Thank you, Alex for putting a smile on my face. I had the worst day today, and you made me smile, so thank you for that.

Week Five Monday September 29, 2014: Riddles
Lisa commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Five Monday September 29, 2014: Riddles
The good news is, from the way Danny was talking to Twoey, Twoey will make it! And as Parker already stated, Twoey will have a long, hard road in front of him.Shit. He was shot in the neck. You're not going to save his life only to leave him paralyzed, are you, Skinny? Twoey's mom is probably freaking out right now. Sam is one smart cookie. Now hurry up with the next chapter, Skinny!!!! I need to know what's going to happen!!!! -
Week Four Sunday September 28, 2014 Unfulfilled Dreams
Lisa commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Four Sunday September 28, 2014 Unfulfilled Dreams
David's thoughts are very insightful. He saw Danny's pain and loneliness. He doesn't know yet (he might never know), that Saturday, September 27, was probably the happiest day in Danny's life. And probably the happiest day in Twoey's life also. I'm so glad Danny got to experience love, if at least for a little while. In his very short time on earth, I'm glad Twoey was with him, the person Danny loved and wanted to be with. Goddammit, Skinny, I'm sitting here typing, and I can barely see the friggen' keys because my eyes are so blurry. Along with CG, I could think of one scenario of how things went down in Danny's house, but I'll keep that to myself also. Shit, I think there's only one more chapter to read, and I'll be all caught up. You better write faster, Skinny!! -
Week Four Saturday September 27, 2014: The End
Lisa commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Four Saturday September 27, 2014: The End
Are you kidding me????? I thought this was a sweet rom-com!!!! WTF, Skinny????? You can't possibly KILL TWOEY!!!!!! Holy shit, is that why David's parents and Gary's parents were in his kitchen? Omg. Shit. I need Parker's antacids! On a humorous note, I thought this was hysterical: 'We found them in an old-people's store - Macy's...' Omg, that was funny! But now I'm in panic mode. Luckily I have the next chapter right here... -
Week Four Friday September 26, 2014: Delightful Deena
Lisa commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Four Friday September 26, 2014: Delightful Deena
Danny's too hot and cold for me. One week he's the Ice Prince, and the next week he's melted chocolate! And there's still the bit with his father and their friends telling Twoey not to EVER go in his house again. What's up with that? Maybe his house is like the Hotel California -- where 'you can check in any time you want, but you can never leave'. That's probably way before your time, Skinny! It's good that David "made friends" with Deena. lol She seems like the girl who you wouldn't want pissed at you! lol I love Tommy! Love the way he talks -- he like steals every scene he's in! And Tommy KNOWS about his mom's plotting and praying for David. Poor David. -
I cannot imagine what Noel is going through. His sweet, loving grandma belonged to an Order? And she knew since the day he was born that he was the king's mate? Holy crap. How many other secrets did she keep from him? Great writing, Addy! I love Noel's inner thoughts; he's so funny!
