    Chapter 5

I am beyond stoked to see Andy & Co. in this story!! I like the way Roger is still so protective of Andy and Joey - he was really giving Sammy the evil eye before, not knowing that Sammy bats for his best friend and b/f's team. I think Mike and Tony are going to be in competition with each other for Sammy's affections. I also want to mention again (I know I did this in my first review I think), that the description of the baseball game really had me riveted. I know exactly what you're talking about due to all the baseball teams my kids were on over the years. It's so exciting to read about it and really know what's going on! lol Great job, Billy!

    Chapter 5

Well, Sasha, you did it! You redeemed Nathan in my eyes! As they say, you learn so much at home and Nathan learned how to be a homophobic bigot from his father. I don't think he would have gotten to the point of redemption if Taylor was there helping him and supporting him. In my HEA for him, he and Taylor are welcomed, but his friends are wary about him, but they love Taylor, just like they love Ashlee. Little by little they warm up to Nate and realize that he is a changed man. Ash, Taylor, Madison, and Suki (that's her name, right? lol) are now best shopping buddies! Terrific story, Sasha! Just like all your stories!
  3. Cia, this is wonderful! You should do a grammar post every day! lol Seriously though, I'm going to bookmark this; it's very informative. Thanks, Cia! =)
  4. Omg, Mom and Pop are too funny! They heard everything! And Pop with the 'Oh my Gods', and Kendall being all holy and religious - shit that was funny! And Kendall gave it right back to them! Good for them! And then M&P head to the bedroom to rearrange ALL the furniture! It's great to see them getting along so well after all these years. You don't often read about the parents in these stories and I'm so glad to hear about their love for each other. Jealous too, but happy for them. I do think you need to find Chet somebody. I can tell he can be a great friend to Kendall (and maybe eventually Ace too), but he's so sad and lonely - my heart's breaking for him.
  5. I think they talked about this on The Highway on XM. Either that or one of my local country stations. Very sad.

    Chapter 1

I remember when you were first looking for an editor and you posted part of this chapter in the forum thread and I was hooked then and I'm hooked now! The opening paragraph really got to me. You could feel Galen's despair and loneliness coming through the page, err, the screen. I just wanted to wrap him in a hug and take his pain away. Luckily he's got his cousin Liam to help with his loneliness. Looking forward to more, Val!
  7. Congratulations, Val!!
  8. I read everyone's reviews and since Lit's was the last one, that's the one I'll agree with. lol I was also a bit misty-eyed when M&M Ace wanted Kendall to call them mom and pop. Actually, it's surprising that since K&M have been best friends for these six years, M&M Ace didn't want him calling them mom and pop sooner. I do agree with everyone who mentioned that K&M's banter and playfulness comes so easy, even though their 'partnership' is brand new. You can only get this with familiarity and a good friendship. I guess what I'm trying to say (it's been a long day and I'm getting punchy. lol), is I think it's good that they were such great friends before, b/c now that easy, familiar way they have of relating to each other will continue and carry on into their intimate part of their relationship (if that makes sense). This was another great chapter, Gary!
  9. Loved Kendall teasing Michael while Michael's trying to talk with a straight face when he was on the phone with his mom. Especially when Kendall mooned Michael - too funny! I'm glad we got to see how great Moondoggie is. I guess we should call him Chet from now on...I'm sure Michael will eventually warm up to him and then maybe Chet will find someone and they can all double-date! Great chapter, Gary! I was reading this in a pizza place, waiting for my order. I started the next chapter but I had to stop at the sex part. Too many little kids sitting by me. lol I have to go finish it now.

    Chapter 4

Tony's parents are awesome. I'm so happy his father started thinking that what HE was taught was wrong about homosexuality. Tony needs his parents' love and support more than ever now. And it must have been so difficult for his father to call the cops to turn his other son in. And I agree with Lit: that cop shouldn't be talking about any cases with 'civilians'. Great chapter, Billy!
  11. I may be dense because I'm confused about the trouble James told Sam that he and Casey got into after Casey's dipshit father was arrested. I know Casey accidentally didn't turn off the cooking stove James lent him, thereby starting the house fire. Is that the trouble James was talking about? And why was James in trouble? For lending the stove to Casey? Why on earth would James have been sent to juvie? Other than that - terrific chapter, Rusty! I give James a lot of credit; I could never hunt and kill an animal. I get upset when I see roadkill. I love that he's so sensitive. And kudos to him for sticking up for Casey in front of his grandfather His grandfather seems very judgmental. Why would he think Casey is anything like his loser father? Looking forward to the next chapter!
  12. Loved, loved, loved the ending!!! What a terrific story, Addy! It was an honor to have been part of this journey. I love Jonah and you know how I feel about Ren...now we just need a sequel. Oh! I know! We need a HEA for my love, Sandro!!!!
  13. That was a great review, Cia! Now I really want to read the story! I read a story by Greg a few years ago, that was really good. I do like the way he writes, so I'll definitely have to check this story out.

    A Better Place

I was kinda confused as to why Casey and James hadn't spoken since the night of the fire. I read your response to Cannd's review and Sam's review, and I understand where Casey is coming from, but why didn't James just walk up to him in school? James is mature, sweet, and very caring; he did all those things for Casey, why didn't he make the first move? I was just wondering. I'm glad they're on their way to getting back on the friendship track. I really liked Sam's driving lesson! James must be a good teacher!

    Chapter 1

Heya Russ, Are you the Sequoya (sorry if I misspelled that) author who wrote The Man from Swift Current? Are these the characters from that story? I was following that story for quite some time on another site, but at the time you were updating quite frequently and it was hard to keep up. lol Are you starting from scratch now (I haven't read this chapter yet...)?

    Worth the Drive

These two sizzle, Sasha! Even us straight folk have experienced the "Omg, I can't wait until tomorrow to see him" shit. Man, I used to drive all the way from Jersey to friggen' Staten Island (no mean feat, let me tell you!), at 10 p.m. just to spend a few hours with this one guy. Crazy. I love how Shane (LOVE that name) and Kai (also love that name!), meet at the salon. See, Shane didn't care about Kai's little flamboyancy, not like Nate - Nate would have hightailed it outta there before he even sat down. lol I've only heard this song a few times. For some reason, they don't play it that much here. I do like Scotty McC - his voice is sooooooo deep and it doesn't match his face. He looks too young (and he IS so young!), to have such a deep voice. As deep as Josh Turner's voice. Or Chris Young's. Oh, I noticed your new fave punctuation mark: the colon. I do like the way you're using it though.

    Our Song

I'll admit, when I first saw the title I thought it was about Taylor Swift's Our Song. Love Play it Again though! When I drove my kid up to school back at the end of August, every time this came on the radio we'd crank it up and sing. I can so see a bubbly blonde (no offense to blondes anywhere! lol), just totally interrupting a guy she was talking to to yell out "Oh my God, this is my song, I've been listening to the radio all night long..." And the guy going, "WTF, I was just talking to you, you'd rather listen to some song on the radio, fine, see ya!" lol Levi and Mac definitely had chemistry. They were very cute together and extra points for Mac for not thinking Levi dorky or anything for getting so excited about a song. Before my country days I used to do the same thing with any Springsteen song (and not the Eric Church one, although that is a damn fine song! ). Double extra points for Mac for learning the words and the chords to play it for Levi! Great story, Sasha! As usual!

    Country Girl

Ok, I think I'm switching sides. You convinced me, Sasha! J/K! You write f/f just as well as you write m/m. And let's hear it for those redneck women who can fight a bull, skin a fish (is that what it's called? lol), and ride in the rodeo!!! Hell yeah! I thought all the names were really cool. I always loved the name Noah, and I really like the name Reagen, which could be for a boy or a girl. And I really like the name Kyle for a girl - really cool. But the name Banning is really wild, very original. Kudos, Sasha for another wonderful story!

    Chapter 4

Sasha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ya gotta slow down, CEO and President of the Sasha Force!! lol I can't keep up with all your new stories! I'm already behind on your two new ones. lol The scene with Nathan lying down with his horse and crying his eyes out really got to me. Not only b/c Nathan is finally expressing his sadness and pain, but b/c I have done the same thing with a beautiful golden retriever that comes over to the house I sold in October. For the four years he started coming over he had become part of the family. When I knew I had to move so the ex and I could sell the house, the next time Sammy came over he jumped up on the couch with me and I hugged him and did the exact same thing Nate did. For some reason, animals are very comforting. I miss Sammy every day. As do my kids and Jessie, my dog. Anyway, that scene really touched me. I'm thrilled Nathan is taking the big step to apologize to Clem. He actually needs to do this; he needs Clem's forgiveness in order to heal. And isn't this part of a 12-step program? Apologize to the people you have wronged? Taylor is wonderful. He will be a great friend to Nate. Nate will need his support. Ok, now which story should I start first? The one with the chicks or Our Song? What a tough decision!

    Chapter 3

Loved the chapter, Billy! Tony was so cute when he confessed to Sammy, well, he didn't confess everything, which was probably good right now b/c Sammy is a little confused by his feelings for Michael. =) I can see a love triangle coming on. I really hope Tony follows through with his promise to tell his folks what Evan did to him. Why is Evan such an ass to his own brother? So what that he found pics of guys on the computer, big whoop. Does Evan get this mindset from their parents? I hope not - I hope their parents are sweet and understanding and they tell Evan to f off.

    Ignore It?

I see Sasha gave you a break in between all those stories you're editing!! This was hilarious!!!! Mother Nature PMS'ing!!! Great writing, Kitt!
  22. Amika!!!! You have a new story!!! I read both chapters on my phone, so I'm just going to review chapter one here also. Louis is so young and innocent. I can't believe so drunk that he gave up his cherry to a stranger. Lucky for him, X was so nice, sweet, and gentle. Can't wait for chapter three - great job, Amika!
  23. Another great chapter, Gary! I really liked the playful banter between K&M; it works so well for them. I don't think it would work with people who don't know each other that well. K&M have been best friends for so long and have bantered back and forth all this time, that taking that banter to a sexual level was pretty natural. Do you know what I mean? I can't wait until they go over to Ace's parents' house; Mr. and Mrs. Ace are going to be thrilled!

    Chapter 9 All In

Great chapter, Gary! I definitely understand K's wariness and hesitancy in believing that M's really in love with him. After all, the only M K knew was the straight, pussyhound (wow, no red line, who woulda thought that was really a word! ), M, and even after K confessed his true feelings for M over a month ago, M never came forward with similar feelings. So it's only natural that K is a bit wary. I'm glad M explained everything (ok, so maybe he didn't REALLY have to go into such detail about that night and his j/o'ing while standing and watching K sleep. ), but I'm glad K understands now that M has felt this for all these years; he just didn't know it. And Gary, for your first time writing smut - A+++++++++++++++!!!! Oh, and as Tim mentioned, they both owe Mrs. Ace big time! lol Ok, on to the next chapter...

    Slither

James is a very intelligent boy. I knew he wouldn't let Casey down. The Fisher's seem terrific and they must be good if James recommended them. I hope this is true b/c there are so many foster "families" out there who do it just for the money and don't care about the kids at all. Great chapter, Rusty!
