This was an important chapter, not just for the thrust, but for the comments as well. By no means can I speak intelligently about brain chemistry in any sector of the population. I do know that in this country, our treatment of mental health issues is marginal at best, too many drugs, chemical straightjackets, and effective time with your primary doctor is measured in 15 minute segments. Mine just left her practice because they were limiting her time with patients... Medical care has become profit-centered. Effective mental health treatment languishes as we don't take it seriously, nor raise taxes to provide adequate care and shelter... Sorry for the rant
