He held her until she calmed down and leaned back; despite her tear-stained face, he thought she was beautiful. "Five years of service. F-five years and then you're free," she murmured. "Why?" he wanted to know, half curious, half filled with unease at the prospect. "Because... because I'm sure there's a woman out there somewhere who would love to have a man like you by her side." Involuntarily a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth and almost too late he redirected his unconscious movement so that he kissed her on the forehead rather than the mouth. "That's a lovely thought," he whispered, acknowledging her intentions. -

So, Grainger has a son in Russia and now possibly another child on the way if the countess becomes preggers....Caroline needs a timely reminder of her agreement with Grainger and not to act like a petulant harpy.... Our wandering group have been very fortunate to have met those who have helped them. And now we see they are going to find Violatia and possibly help others... -
A fantastic chapter to say the least, what an adventure and no good deed goes unpunished as we will see from the industry trade magazine when the story comes out. I suspect they will garner several more prestigious awards!!

The move is taking place and in consideration of the group as a whole...Having worked there, just after High School, the Woods Hole Institute in the facilities department, having the Insititute join with WHOI is a stroke of serendipity!!! Talk about a natural fit!!!

Got the corned beef, a 6lb monster, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, pearl onions, and the hottest horseradish sauce/spread I could find so share with some family and friends...just can't wait for dinner this afternoon and some serious couch time!!!

That and the fact some of the insecurity must stem from Marc's behavior when things went pear-shaped as a result of the overbearing MIL and Marc's reaction....assuming Adam would "learn" from this without communicating his reasons/needs/expiations of what he needs in a relationship. Quite frankly, thru this whole episode Marc demonstrated the lacked the ability to understand empathy or consideration for those close to him....

So...Jolanda is looking out for Josel from afar...she must really want the boy in her bed...well, not necessarily the boy but what he's packing...it certainly isn't his mind.... Zdain, the words have been spoken, the truth is out there, have the conversation and let Josel come to terms with your/his attraction... Is it too much to hope for to see Renn kicked in the head by a horse??? How much more trouble will Plink create??? Interesting to note she claims not to be one of the fallen...
