I hate waking up in the middle of the night because something was niggling, tickling my sleepy thought process.... Per the quote below... I still feel that there is some sort of hive mentality with these creatures....don't know if the virus affects all the same way or if some sort of very basic instinct is triggered that allows for simple cooperation betwixt them... If the virus somehow makes them flammable, and increasingly so over time, will they get to the point where they will simply spontaneously self-combust???? If not, get some, or make some frigging flamethrowers...they could also carry small plumber's torches... Two burning vehicles mostly blocked the entrance to the lumber yard. Around them, a large group of zombies flailed about, trying to pass the obstacle. Most of the zombies were on fire, adding to the confusion and chaos of the scene. A few things turned our way, but most were fixated on the cars. A few were so damaged that they crawled, slowly disappearing under the vehicles. Jake stared and gripped the van's first aid kit in his hands. "Fire. Something about the virus causes them to become slightly flammable over time. We still don't know why that is, but they do not fear it or anything else." I met Mark, and we methodically ended the small group of zombies in the parking lot. Most of those had no eyes, thanks to them melting in the heat of the fire. So they snapped and lunged blindly around, making our task much easier than it otherwise would have been.

I get the feeling that Thayer and C.O. will never get to do the dirty deed... What if the Ghost's car got stolen...humm??? The Ghost had decided to stop at the diner for lunch on his way back to the Cities. A nice treat for himself after a rigorous day and night. The burger, those lovely crinkle fries, and a vanilla malt. Yum! A kind of victory lap, in a way. Even though the plan was to finally lock Linnie Lee in, getting Louie Lee to sell for a mere three hundred was a home run. He mentally calculated how this might figure into his year-end bonus. He wasn’t taking any chances with those papers by handing them over to Louie Lee’s driver. They were currently secured in a locked leather briefcase, safely ensconced in the trunk of his car.

Good on Peter, fingers crossed he can get to the temple, one has to ask...is it the only place it grows as it seems to be located in other temples//

I would have to agree, it seems as if there is someone hiding in plain sight who is using Don, someone who had a difficult past association with him perhaps????

An interesting start let's see just where this goes....

I'm at cross purposes here, I have come to believe, perhaps mistakenly, that Vlad, Thomas, and Robert have no true noble purpose in life. Their existence is one of taking what they need as they need it. That through their actions of using events, people and places, they do not leave the world that they exist in any better or the world outside their own as well. It is a truly selfish existence... The conundrum I face in trying to understand or accept the three vampires can be found in a paragraph from Ch 7. Valen’s reputation grew, and whispers of his unmatched prowess reached the ears of the Order of the Blade, an ancient organization dedicated to preserving the honor and tradition of swordsmanship. Valen was invited to join their ranks, and his entry marked a new chapter in the Order’s history. He quickly rose through the ranks, not just because of his skill, but his unwavering sense of justice and humility. Under his leadership, the Order thrived, attracting the finest warriors from across the realms. I'm trying/struggling to find anything redeeming about our trio of wanderers...might this be part of why Robert has decided to leave and find his own way???
