I think now we need to know Patrick's last name and any other information Robert can elicit from Patrick...Also...I get that in some ways, this village is a place that time has passed by... I do have a couple of niggling thoughts...For someone who was a poor sleeper, Robert had a great night's sleep, and what happened to the pills that accompanied the vitamins??? Madame LaTouche sorta reminds me of Annie Wilkes from the movie Misery, I could see Kathy Lee Bates playing her in a movie about this story...who knows...she may have a thing for naked ghosts wearing wellingtons smelling like a pigsty...Is she responsible for Roberts missing pills??? Then there's the husband, does he own a shed full of chainsaws???? Absolutely loving this story!!!

If Alfie meets Patrick once a month at this farmhouse at his point in time, I'm left wondering if Patrick two things; did he survive the conflict or is he a ghost also? I know it's a stretch.... Actually, one other random thought(s)...will Robert finally figure out the differences in time and offer an explanation or will Robert find out what happened to Patrick and come back and tell Robert. I can't expect any physical contact simply from how the bed did not move/sink when he sat on it...however he has that earthy, just went for a roll in the barnyard/mudpuddle scent tho...after a couple of stiff ones, get your minds out of the gutter guys, I'm talking cocktails...no not what you're thinking at all, even if Alfie and Patrick get to top-and-tail in a real bed... Let's try this again...see there's this ghost with dirty boots...on second thought, just figure it out for yourselves guys.... Lots of great stuff here, spent a day sorting out the keeps from the detritus of my recent move, seriously over taxing my cranium...
