AH Ha! they have a clue! this is good, splinters and wood and bats oh my...lets just hope the police department is smarter than any we find on soaps shall we lol seriously though i liked this chapter. I think we figured out last chapter just how over protective Johnathan is of Gibby and that's a good thing. He doesn't want anything to happen to his son and i can't say that i blame him. Gibby needs to be careful though...he may have somewhat of the upper hand but Amanda is not someone you want to mess around with. though I am amused at how Amanda makes herself look guilty i mean someone asks about cheating in class and your answer is to confront that person and question his motives? Really Amanda lol that's like saying clear as day I'm guilty lalala. What a bitch. Tanner's right though, Gibby shouldn't antagonize her too much or he could end up at the wrong end of that bat or worse. the countdown continues Kc. and don't let anyone get you down! keep on writing

I agree with Andy about Frank. It's nice to see the other side of the coin so to speak. He'll come around if it's meant for him to. Poor Josh he's definitely befuddled isn't he. I hope Max is able to clear this up quickly. That makeout session was intense

This is setting up to be fun. And awww Max and Josh thinking of each other. Felt bad for Fay too. Oh and I laughed at Frank eating the pork chops. Josh definitely made them spicy

I like how you started here. You introduced the main players and managed to delve briefly into their feelings. Not to mention we learned some key info about Max and Josh. I'm curious to see how this plays out. Also loved that thus far its like the typical first day of school

That title is perfect Cause if this chapter says anything it says that these two are hopelessly devoted to each other I loved it from beginning to end kim. The cute morning scene, the banter back in forth about the danish and Ethan's bedwetting. i thought it was cute when Chris wouldn't let David get up without a kiss. The scene in the kitchen was very organic and real. It's like you gave us a glimpse into their everyday life. Chris gets the kids ready, David gets breakfast ready, David gets Christian's breakfast for him so cute and just real at the same time. David says all the right things when trying to comfort Christian which is great as well. He always has this way of saying what Christian needs to hear at the right time. Loved the scene in the store too. Them trying on the tuxes, Christian worried about David who hadn't shown up yet. Tag! he's always great. loved his advice to Chris lol and glad Christian took sad advice hehe. And we got the bathroom woes again from Ethan. that little rascal I think my favorite part was the end when Chris was going to confess his biggest secret only to find out there was nothing to confess! that was a nice surprise and just drives home the point and title of the chapter David is hopelessly devoted to Christian, and he knew that no matter what Chris was devoted to him as well. great chapter chica can't wait to see the wedding

Wow poor Gibby. I gasped when i realized where you were going with that. His mom was very sick indeed eek! Glad he was able to share that with Tanner though, now Tanner knows a little more about his past. Can't wait to see how Amanda and Ethan are dealt with. the chapter countdown continues KC. looking forward to next monday

Hey Guys. I wanted to start a forum for this story, as it starts to take some twists and turns that may need to be discussed. While I'm added I feel i need to address the comments here and leave them for public discussion if possible. Thanks everyone for reading. I enjoy all the comments, and I just want to make sure everything is clear here. At the moment everything is speculation, and there really aren't any clear cut facts save for Bryan saying that he was sent away to the Orr foundation. Another thing we know for sure is that Bryan is not mentally stable at the moment. He can't remember where he is from hour to hour sometimes, let alone coherently do a mundane task such as figure out what to wear. I'm not certain a judge at this moment would think he was capable of making his own decisions. As for Dr. Hamiliton, IT's important not to villianize him, he's just doing his job. His actions may not be sound, and we may not like his bedside manner but he's just doing what he was brought in to do. and that was diagnose the problem as he sees it. And as for the doctors at the facility, For the moment that is an opinion...a true one no doubt, but again there isn't enough information as of yet to do anything. Bryan's word as it is, is very suspect and the adults especially marshall aren't talking. All will be figured out and investigated as the story progresses. as of now,l the first nine chapters are focused on figuring out what's wrong with bryan. Everyone has an opinion about how to help him, and what's best for him. Who's right? Who's wrong? Only time will tell. Dr. Hamilton is just doing his job. He was brought in as a specialist by Dr. Wilkerson. Yes he may be a little cold, his methods may be less then ideal...but he is just doing his job and he is not emotionally attached to anyone. Marshall is a parent, Marianne is a parent...are they making the right choices or decisions regarding their son? Only time will tell, but neither are villians here either. They're parents who have been thrust right into this uncertain place because they don't know what's wrong with Bryan. Again, we know from Bryan that his family sent him somewhere...but it's really all we know And as for Jeff, I think the idea that Jeff has all the answers may be a bit premature and over romantic. Jeff is acting on pure emotions, his idea comes from a place of him wanting to give Bryan what he wants (which is freedom from the hospital) that doesn't necessarily mean it's the right thing to do. Jeff could be making a big mistake. It's important to keep that in mind. His opinion is just that; an opinion. And on that note...he's not a doctor lol I'm not sure what signs of dependency or child abuse you are seeing, but i will address this first. Bryan has been in the hospital for at least three weeks, four ? the first thing they would have done upon examination was question child abuse. I think it's safe to assume, since we know that medical professionals are required by law to report such things, that Bryan is not being abused by his family. they would have already made that determination. Jeff and Thomas don't trust Marshall...that's their opinion. a biased one on Thomas' part. That doesn't immediately mean that Marshall is guilty of anything. Marianne on the other hand may be the most clueless in the group. she was comatose when some of these events took place she doesn't have a clear understanding of what happened to her son last year. she knows what she was told. That her son was sent away willingly to rehab. Now he's sick and she doesn't know how to help him. As for Thomas i wouldn't necessarily say he isn't upset or angry about what's going on. But again do we really know what's going on completely ? Bryan said something, but bryan says a lot of things and more often than not doesn't make sense. Just something to think about Also it's also important to remember that we're seeing some of these events through the eyes of someone who has a great fear of hospitals and doctors. Okay, Bryan has three parents. his biological; Marianne and Marshall, and the man who adopted him; THomas. All three of them are concerned for their son's well being. Marshall's behavior may be suspect, but it';s important to realize Bryan's not afraid of him Bryan's reaction in chapter seven was because of the memories his presence evoked. Doesn't mean that Bryan doesn't care for Marshall. okay that being said, I think for the moment its important not to villianize anyone. Even if Marshall took Bryan to the facility, it's too early to think he knew what went on there and that he tampered with mail. we'll learn what happened to the mail...in time as for Jeff, he has an opinion on the subject just as well as the others do. doesn't mean his opinion or his plan is actually sound. it could be detrimental to Bryan's recovery. only time will tell Dr. Hamilton is just rendering a diagnosis as he sees fit. Bryan was agitated and the doctor did what he needed to do to keep him from being a harm to himself or to the staff. Sedation exists for a reason, it's there to help the patients not hurt them. Though as far as Bryan is concerned doctors and hospitals are evil. As for Jeff and Thomas' idea to whisk Bryan away...it's yet to be seen if that is a good idea or not. It's going to take a while before we see the clear picture i think. Bryan's the only person who can impart that wisdom and he's not in the right frame of mind to do it just yet. I agree Jeff may be worried about Bryan but his decisions, his choices may not be what's best for him. I actually wrote a lot of this with a nurse, and tried to be medically accurate to the situation. Key word tried thanks everyone for the comments, and I hope you all will continue to read as this tangled mess gets sorted out. I know there is an aspect of Romance in the story, but it is not a romance. Jeff's purely emotional decisions could hurt bryan more than help him. That's important to realize here. Things are about to shift into a different direction here so stay tuned for leg two of Bryan's journey

first off glad you're back KC. one week is enough to miss out on sheperd's crook Now on to the chapter. IT was sad yet very good and I enjoyed it . Poor Gibby and Tanner. Gibby was hurt understandably and I'm certain that Tanner never intended for that paper to be seen Obviously his opinion of Gibby has changed I hope he and Gibby can get past the hurt so they can work together to bring down Amanda. I liked the scenes at the house with Tanner's sister, and i am enjoying Tanner and Gibby despite the fact that Tanner is a ghost. Can't wait to see what happens next!

i love that last paragraph. such a profound message. Nice followup to Captivated, and it has an important message. Every choice has a consequence you have to live with. Glad there was a light at the end for Justin and he has Tyler. His parents were an awful sort glad he was taken from them.

I think the title fit this perfectly because I found myself captivated and drawn to continue reading. I hope Tyler finds Justin in time. there is a simplicity to this that is nice and your grasp of first person narrative is very admirable. very nicely done my friend. going to go read the other part now

Well, seeing as one of the brothers in black dagger brotherhood has a ghostly mate, i can't very well be upset about Tanner and Gibby. There was something very sweet about about this chapter and of course very sad. The fact that Tanner remembers, for example..wow what anguish he must be feeling to know that his best friend and Amanda, who he also saw as a friend to an extent, were the ones who did this to him. I'm glad gibby was able to comfort him and i can't wait to see what more you do here KC. i do adore tanner so i am glad he is still very much in the story even in ghost form. Gibby makes him feel alive *sigh* okay i will be waiting for next monday, you still have my attention. The bitch must pay! btw i love that not all the teachers are intimidated by her "i'm going to tell my dad about this" i can just imagine her sticking up her nose trying to be snooty. you go ms stein putting her in her place!

have i told you how much i love being able to go through this process with you? you craft such wonderful stories kimkim, thanks for letting me be a part of this....and with that said onward to the greatness of this chapter Chris and David's coming together was perfect in every way. I could feel the love between them, the want, the need the passion it was all there and very well crafted. I think my favorite line was when David told Christian his heart couldn't dance until he met him. Such a sweet sentiment, and when Christian admitted that he did love him you have this simplistic way of painting pictures...and i know i say that all the time but it's true. Can't wait to see what happens next Chica. as always love Tag too. wonder what's got on his mind

Awesome chapter chica. so much good stuff going on here. Christian with the kids, Christian going to work, and having a flash of memory, calling david because he needed him and David dropping everything immediately to be there for him. just great stuff. It's good to see Chris is starting to realize just what this man means to him and such. I chuckled though when he was snipping at him and then changed his tune because he wants him I love watching your work on this story, every moment is an adventure and you don't disappoint. looking forward to the next chapter

OH KC I'm going to trust you here can't wait to see what you're up to and what happens next. I am still sad tanner is gone, but i can't deny that i liked the moments he shared with Gibby today. I keep thinking there's more to this than romance...and so Tanner possibly has a purpose, that doesn't surprise me. He has to solve a mystery me thinks. and he was able to touch gibby's hair and kiss him hmmmm looks like i know what i'm looking for next monday

KC I rather liked this chapter with watching how Tanner and Gibby interacted here. I chuckled along with Tanner when Gibby called him Casoer lol and it was great to see Gibby somewhat relaxed just talking to Tanner so it was a nice chapter indeed. it would seem tanner is going to help Gibby come out of his shell a little that should be fun ...though i am now concerned about the end ...monday is too far away now
