Did that on Friday night The person below me built a campfire in their backyard last night and roasted marshmallows
-
Well dude, let us know how it works out for you
-
Happy Birthday Nick
-
Well I took the advice of a very great author who happens to be hosted here(and the person who's stories inspired me to write my own stories) and I always write the last chapter before I write the second chapter, with one exception. It's a whole lot easier, and honestly, if you want to change the ending, it's no big deal. But it gives you something to work toward
-
Sit down and start writing them all......even if you dont finish them right away, you can go back to whichever one you feel inspired to write, and if you like to work on all of them, there's nothing wrong with that either.
-
When I feel inspired to write a story that's in my head, I sit down and I write....I dont worry about the title, or where it might go, or any of that stuff.....I dont worry about anything I'm working on, either, because if I'm inspired enough, I'll find a way to work on each one of my stories.

lol..........You rule, Tazz

Happy Birthday Dom!!!!

I voted for Wednesday because it starts with a consonate and ends with a vowel....well, sometimes it ends in a vowel. That's what makes it so unique

[NickolasJames8] Story Status Update
NickolasJames8 replied to NickolasJames8's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
Ok, so it's that time again I just sent the final edited copy of my Fall Anthology story in, so hopefully everyone'll like it Besides that, I've been working on more poetry. I sent a new poem in last night, so hopefully it'll be posted soon. It's a pretty personal poem, and really, it was a thereputic excersize for me more than anything. Staking My Claim 3 and Bodega Bay 14 went up this last week as well, so look for the next chapters of both stories to come out in a few days I've been working hard on getting them updated for you. In the meanwhile, I'm really excited about the upcoming release of Chapter Two of Indefensible, the award winning story by our very own Kevin, aka Afriendlyface. If you haven't checked it out yet, you're seriously missing out on something special. -
Christian students launch fund to help gay youth
NickolasJames8 commented on NickolasJames8's blog entry in Read my blog
Well I'm glad that in a world where everyone points fingers, and I'm talking about gay advocacy groups and Christian groups, that we can find some kind of unity. I just hope we can expand upon the example that's being set and bring it to the forefront here in the US. -
Religion: Christian students launch fund to help gay youth Posted by: gayteens on Sunday, October 01, 2006 - 12:43 PM The controversial divide between religion and sexuality may shrink, but certainly not the dreams of students who have launched a major campaign supporting gay Christian youth and young adults in Canada. The Student Christian Movement of Canada (SCM), a national network of campus groups, is launching a "Queer and Christian Without Contradiction" campaign after winning a major grant this summer. The four-year national campaign aims to support lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and questioning (LGBTQ) youth in and out of the churches. Communion with God, they say, need not be a closeted affair. Members of the student-led movement, which brings together students from many denominations and even other faiths, expressed their excitement about the grant of 100,000 US dollars. "So many people assume that, on the issue of homosexuality, youth will have to choose between dogmatic traditions and our very identities," said 25-year old David Ball, a former youth and overseas worker who attends an Anglican church in Winnipeg and has been part of SCM for three years. "But this just isn't the case. "Faith is about liberation, not about oppression. We shouldn't have to choose between our faith and our freedom to be who we are. Hopefully, more youth in Canada can see that we can be both queer and Christian - without contradiction." Others in the 85-year old student-led movement said the Queer Youth Fund grant will help bring progressive Christians into the mainstream, and also help challenge other forms of oppression, including racism, classism and militarism, which they argue are connected. "Exciting times ahead for the Student Christian Movement, not to mention for queers and their allies in the churches," said Sheilagh McGlynn, one of two national coordinators for the movement. "Not only are we the first Canadian group to win this award - we're also the first Christians. "It's a huge step forward for all of us. Many youth today are seeking spiritual roots in an unjust world, they want to make a difference, but they often hear judgement from organized religion. We hope to offer a place to them, where they can be themselves." The SCM, founded in 1921, has a history of taking the lead in challenging both church and society - for instance, on the ordination of women, and through liberation theologies which believe Jesus' message to be about freedom from oppression and injustice. Often facing controversy for its understandings of the Gospel, the SCM hopes that both Christians and those who do not profess a Christian faith will benefit from the education, leadership training, and visibility of the "Queer and Christian" campaign. As it celebrates its 85th anniversary, the movement is launching the campaign this semester with a call-out for queer youth to submit art and Bible studies to promote the project. The Queer Youth Fund grant is awarded annually by the U.S.-based Liberty Hill Foundation. It is the first time a Christian, or Canadian, organization has won the award. Just wanted to post this for everyone to read.....please give your support in the form of a letter to Christian and Gay Rights leaders, or get active to promote this kind of unity.

We're still under the threat of a nuclear war...I think we ought to hit first, personally, but maybe that's why I'm not fit to be president....I'd push the button and end the war in Iraq once and for all

On the point about Joe Leiberman, that's for you guys to decide for yourselves. I just think it's funny that you guys all worked to boot him out as a Democrat when it's going to end up costing you that seat. He's going to win it as an independant, and that could mean the difference between winning the senate and not winning it for you guys. As for the the statement about the republicans being right, I'm never going to let you forget that you said it It could even wind up in a tagline or a signature at some point As far as the appology, no way....the gay blade isn't exactly a very balanced newpaper, and I'm not taking anything they say seriously. In fact, the only democrat who's spoken out against the outing of gay republicans is Nancy Pelosi, and good for her. Now the rest of them need to follow her lead. In the meanwhile, go read a real gay newsletter, like the Gay Patriot.

Old Bob, with all due respect, you have no idea how rationally I think. If you ever want to have a debate in chat, I'll break my own promise not to go back in there, and one on one, you and I can debate any topic you'd like. In fact, I'll say that to anyone who wants to debate me, one on one. Not a four on one hit job, but a one on one debate between me and Old Bob, DK or even Dezlboi Any takers???

Hey man, Your blog, your rules, but I can't be the only one that's noticed that whenever someone presents a logical dissenting argument, you never seem to 1) concede the point or 2) dispute it, you take a 90 degree turn to the right and make some loud and (often) obnoxious statement, changing the topic. You know who else uses that same tactic? Bill O'Reilly. Just because a lot of people say that Democrats are weak on defense (and say it often and loud), it doesn't make it true. Clinton - the last Democrat in power - took what was handed to him and quickly became obsessed with terrorist activities in the middle east and at home, and no less than tripled spending on terrorist prevention while in office. He also was very effective in pre-emptively stopping a lot of activites that would have been front-page news had they been successful. Dead party from long ago? Try 6 years ago. Personally I don't care who thinks what about defense because I almost always disagree with their actions anyway. I'm just pointing out that your arguments aren't very effective. You're smart. You can do better. -Dez On your first point, you're right...it is my blog, and I set the rules. Second point, why would I cincede a point if I don't agree with the point being made? Most of the points people make are along the lines of, "you'r a republican" or "the president wants to take away our rights." Neither one of those points are true, and I'm not going to conceed them Third, Clinton had a chance to get Osama bin Laden and he passed on him. That's a fact. Fourth, you say I say loud, obmoxious things, but I have to wonder what statements you're talking about?? Are they the statements that you don't agree with?? The ones that don't fit your political veiws?? You haven't been specific. In fact, it seems like you did the same thing in your post that you accused me of doing. Finally, Please don't compare me to Bill o'Rielly. I haven't compared you to Al Gore or Dick Durbin. I find Bill O' Rielly to be disgusting, and not for his political views, but for the way he treats women as objects (kind of like Bill Clinton does). You say my arguments arent effective, yet you feel the need to come and try to dispute them......maybe they're more effective than you think

A lifetime supply of...
NickolasJames8 commented on AFriendlyFace's blog entry in Chronicles of My Life
Yikes!!!!!! Mayonaise is sooooo gross...I don't even like potato salad anymore, and it used to be one of my favorites. I just can't stomach mayonaise. We were at one of my stepmom's friends' house and she was making macaroni salad and after she stired in way too much mayo, she put the spoon back down in the jar and scooped more out, then she shoved it in her mouth and pulled it out clean before she threw the spoon in the sink......at least she didnt double dip, I guess :king: :pickaxe: -
Ok, so I found a new video that I can officially call my favorite....if anyone knows where to find this version of My Humps, please tell me...oh, and enjoy

I havent read the article about the list of names, but I know better than to trust the word of a network that used phony documents to try to affect the outcome of a presidential election. Now, onto the part about the weak Democrats::::: The party you speak of is gone, Dan. They no longer have JFK or Truman or Roosevelt, or even that communist LBJ....what they have now is Ted Kennedy, a murderer and Al Gore, a loser who couldn't win an election against GWB because he was too arrogant to let Clinton campaign for him, and now he's a joke. You also have John Murtha, who must be suffering from Alzhiemers because he had the nerve to accuse our troops of murder, when the truth is, they're fighting in a war!!! He's a joke, and everytime he talks, he makes the dems look like the weaklings they are. Then there's Dick Durbin, who said our troops were Nazi's and compared them to Pol Pot's regime and to the communists of the USSR. That's the party that's going to defend us??? It's a joke, and deep down, you know it too. The only good democrat as far as defense goes is Joe Lieberman, and he's been essentially kicked out of your party. It's sad, because if you look back over time, you can see that the dems were a strong party when it came to defense, but somehow, they were taken over by a bunch of weirdo's and now they're just a freak show that most people laugh at.

In the wake of the Mark Foley scandal, there's a disturbing new trend in Washington DC among both Democrats and Republicans......outing gay Republicans....now the repukes are doing this because they want to save themselves from losing the elections in November, which is something they dont have to worry about. No one wants the Democraps in power because we'll be invaded in short order by the islamo facists who want to kill us and the Democraps are going to be weak, as always, and most likely surrender and allow Americans to be murdered. They'll justify it by saying that we have to have "understanding" and that we need to offer the terrorists a chance to "express themseves" by killing Americans. Anyway, I'm not shocked at all by the repukes wanting to out gays and appeal to their crazy base of homophobes and abortion doctor killers. Unfortuantely, I'm also not shocked my the democraps, who are now sending out a list of gay republican lawmakers and their staff members. The reason why, you ask?? Because they want to destroy peoples lives for being republicans.....there's no other reason. They can score political points and at the same time, punish gays who dont see things their way by outing them before they're ready to be out. Some people might never want to come out, and it's a private decision that no breeder has the right to make for them. It just further proves my point that the democraps are every bit as homophobic and crooked as the repukes, and that they're desperate to get into power so they can hand over our sovergnty to the UN and start peace talks with Osama Bin Laden. Unfortuantely the lives they're ruining are going to be irrepairable. I wonder how many men and women will be rejected by their loved ones, or haw many will commit suicide rather than face being outed by these hateful scumbags who beg the gay community for votes everytime there's an election. In my opinion, it makes them no better than Fred Phelps and his family of demons, who plan to protest at the funerals of five innocent little girls who were murdered by some asshole who was taking revenge for something that happened in his life that they had nothing to do with. Maybe instead of focusing their energy toward outing closeted republicans, the democrats could be working to block these idiots from deepening the pain of these familes who are already suffering an unspeakable sorrow. Instead, no one's even paying attention to that, because they're more wrapped up in gaining political points. I wonder how many political points they would score if they actually acted to protect this community from the new pain they're about to suffer.
