  7. Omg, you really need to get your head out of the clouds. Thinking that AIDS is removed from your generation is so disillusional. Yes the number of cases had decreased but this disease is not gone! Far from it. I see a lot of HIV/AIDS patients. They are living longer with more advanced treatment but they are out there... http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/resources/factsheets/us.htm CDC estimates that 1,148,200 persons aged 13 years and older are living with HIV infection, including 207,600 (18.1%) who are unaware of their infection1. Over the past decade, the number of people living with HIV has increased, while the annual number of new HIV infections has remained relatively stable. Still, the pace of new infections continues at far too high a level—particularly among certain groups. HIV Incidence (new infections): The estimated incidence of HIV has remained stable overall in recent years, at about 50,000 new HIV infections per year.2 Within the overall estimates, however, some groups are affected more than others. MSM continue to bear the greatest burden of HIV infection, and among races/ethnicities, African Americans continue to be disproportionately affected. HIV Diagnoses (new diagnoses, regardless of when infection occurred): In 2011, an estimated 49,273 people were diagnosed with HIV infection in the United States. In that same year, an estimated 32,052 people were diagnosed with AIDS. Since the epidemic began, an estimated 1,155,792 people in the United States have been diagnosed with AIDS 3 Deaths: An estimated 15,529 people with an AIDS diagnosis died in 2010, and nearly 636,000 people in the United States with an AIDS diagnosis have died since the epidemic began.3 The deaths of persons with an AIDS diagnosis can be due to any cause—that is, the death may or may not be related to AIDS. Figure1: Estimated New HIV Infections in the United States, 2010, for the Most Affected Subpopulations _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ I was coming of age in the 80's and was very promiscuous in my younger days. The outbreaks did curb some of that activity but not all and to think that you can't be infected in todays day and age is so frightening. I have seen first hand patients (they same age as you) fighting for their life with this disease.

    Chapter 1

Thanks Sly, unfortunately, he was never punished for what he did to me. It’s been years, but some nights it comes rushing back as if it was yesterday. I hope that reposting this helps someone facing the same nightmare. Thanks for reading.
  9. From the Original Book Jacket in 2012 Story Blurb: Bryson Gilroy never wanted to be a lone wolf, unmated, but coming out to his pack isn't an option. Alpha males and homosexuals just don’t mix. Even if his father is the current pack master and his twin brother will one day succeed as leader, it's still better to keep some things secret. With each passing full moon, the werewolf inside Bryson becomes harder and harder to tame. If the beast gets free, it'll be impossible to pen back
  10. Congratz to all the winners! Great Job

  15. I read this a while ago. It was the kind of story that I didn’t have to go back for a re-fresher before getting into a discussion. The story stays with you long after it's finished. The plot twist and turns were so fluid that you didn’t know that you were slipping down the other side until you were almost around the next curve. The absence of cellphones and internet makes me wonder the time period. To me it felt like it was set in the late 80’s maybe cause that’s when I was coming of age, similar to Travis and why I felt such a connection. I don’t know if anyone else got this vibe while reading, but all of the characters interaction with Travis made me start to think that there was going to be a crazy moment at the end where we find out that Travis has multiple personalities and that he is all of the characters, kind of like a ‘Fight Club’ twist. Example: When Travis locks the front door of the trailer, but Wade still gets in, or how would Tyler know that Travis went to the police? Afterwards, Travis comes home and everything is gone. Hmmmmm? I really enjoyed this story and Jwolf’s writing. He’s very talented and I’m excited to see him posting more. Good choice for the CSR!
  16. Oooooh Happy Birthday!!!
  17. Such a great story! I was worried when Heath got that call from Valentine, but he did the right thing (thank good or I would have to hire someone to hunt him down and break his legs ) Love how you pulled it all together and tied up at the end.

    Chapter 1

Jade’s fingers glided over the delicate strings of her violin. The bow extended from her hand as if the wood and horsehair had magically become part of her flesh and bone. It wasn’t a part of her, it completed her. The music was breathtaking. She played a complex melody, powerful and full of emotions that enchanted the growing crowd. All eyes were on the tall, dark haired girl as people pushed closer while her music drifted across the evening air. It was unseasonably warm for early April.
  25. Anthology Story: Jade lives and breathes music, it’s her entire universe. What will she do when she finds the girl of her dreams, but can’t share the most important thing in her life with one person she loves the most?
