hey rigby, still processing this wonderful chapter. you do well in sprinkling the foreshadowing, but lots of false paths too. that i recognized that Bart's landlord's are a gay couple was nothing to do with my perception but with your writing. so glad you continue to share this series!

Hi Rigby, i did find more than the two chapters - read the whole thing over the weekend and was just surprised to see two chapters at one time. and grateful! Now have to go search for any other writing you may have posted here. it is "No Skis" and yes, i was a barefoot water skier. I have moved, no longer have a boat or the 'footing friends I used to and have aged. at 53, maybe that is a good thing and has prevented injuries (and yeah, i know i am just trying to justify it). last time for me was at age 50 - but i miss it and the very small group of people who willinging beat themselves up (water is like concrete at 60+ kph). we are coming into spring here in the northern hemisphere, so let's see what i feel like and what kind of trouble i can get into :-P

hi again rigby, nice surprise to find these two chapters! and want to say how much i am enjoying an australian perspective - while i appreciate and respect all of the authors who post here, it is very usa/eu biased. variety is so important and very much appreciated. enjoy your week!
-
agree, and that they used 'orientation' rather than 'preference' when speaking of orientation - a HUGE pet peeve of mine - just added to the authenticity....

hey rigby, just ran into rough justice this past weekend. not much else got done, but just finished chapter 16. really enjoying the story! no one else yet commented that bart's landlords are a gay couple - or at least everything points to that from the stereotypical fashion sense in the flat to the statement about the couple understanding robert and bart. but we will see! and now i have to start planning for a brisbane trip - has been on my list for years, but have not yet made it. maybe this fall?? just gotta find australian areas, not the usa version - something that i work hard to avoid on my travels. looking forward to more of your work. thanks for sharing!

hi lilansui, very much enjoying your series - what a surprise re the protection of the palace! thanks for continuing to add to the series and share!

hey ace, found you and this series a few weeks ago and very much enjoying it - that you have been adding such good content so quickly is amazing! from travlbug: "Oli's viewpoint is a bit frustrating..." i just point out that oli is 13 years old where a lot of changes are going on, physically, socially and emotionally often resulting in males, especially, at that age not being exactly stable ;-). while oli has supportive parents and a (much) older brother for a role model, working out his sexuality can be quite confusing for those who don't fit into the stereotypical heteosexual standard. while it may be a good thing to have oli go through some psychological testing feeding the kid drugs as a first step is concerning. i get that if oli does have add or ahd that medication may be the only way to re-align his brain chemistry and prevent any noise from distracting him, though there will be side effects - maybe unintended but likely undesired. 'modern' medication often ends up treating symptoms, not root cause, creating an expectation that drugs are the answer to everything. especially here in the usa, many dont want to put any effort into changes (stop smoking, lose weight, lower cholesterol/blood pressure, etc) and expect a pill to 'fix' the problem. ryder's abuse could be seen as self medication to escape his issues and providing drugs for oliver now could set his expectation that substances fix problems, no personal effort, sacrifice or changes required. thank you for sharing your worlds with us!

every vocation has the good, bad, ugly and great but i did not intend to imply that Geron is not capable of writing in any style and manner that he chooses. Rather I was attempting (and failing) to poke fun at my limited brain ;-). The only thing that at this point confuses me is in the first chapter where Difris showed the boys a time lapse that depicted steadily decreasing use of the transfer station that Difris mans (AIs??). It seems odd that decreasing numbers of travelers would not have been easily detected , attributable to events and known - an immediate stop would match up to a lack of information better, but in Geron I Trust, patiently will enjoy the adventure and perhaps may learn some of those answers in the future. Never A Door Lost is high on my list of favorite Science Fiction not only due to the skill of Geron's descriptions and vision but due to the efforts Geron puts on preserving life. Mostly a pacifist I love the technological possibilities of the future but find the majority of Science Fiction filled with senseless violence, death and disregard towards life and resources - there are few saga eras that I would want to be part of. That this has become a series out of the original is very nice, reminding me of Nathan Lowell's series.

Just as I got through all of your postings on gayauthors.org last week and you - thankfully - post one more ;-). It has been an enjoyable past time to be invited into your various worlds. Thank you. I am adding under (i think) ReaderPaul's comment because I personally don't like stories that switch point of view by chapter. Different books of the same series is easier for me to enjoy, but more than anything probably just the way my limited brain works.... Hope that you and yours are well and I am looking forward to the next feast you may share with us.

i prefer Kohen, but not my choice ;-) as others have said better than I ever could... "...so i did...." damn......
-
wow, so many emotions and the back story of the twins was really well done. all flows so well together. Thanks for continuing to write and share!
-
Hey Geron, just a short note that i came to your stories through an elf the end of 2017 ;-). While Max and that group is not here, they did point me toward your stories. Slowly working my way from your first postings to current time and so much enjoying the depth - and the length - of your stories. I don't have the time at the moment to sit and read a full story at one sitting, but is something to brighten my evenings. Looking forward to continuing to indulge in your tales. dave

hi Geoff, very much enjoying your stitcher stories, though I do have to point out that "Call me Nancy. Mrs. Chase is my mother!" doesn't work for (most) married woman - married woman usually take their husbands name, so that would be their mother in law's name, not her mother's name ;-). glad you are keeping up with the series and looking forward to the third one - though you have hinted it will be very sad at some points.....

with all due respect, shadow086, who do you think you are to insinuate that Stellar - the author - should write faster? As far as your profile indicates - or at least as I understand it - you have no stories on gayauthors.org (nor do i). while many authors appreciate comments from their readers, until you have a complicated, detailed, serialized work published, your role is to appreciate what those who are more talented than you or I are willing to share with us. if so invited, perhaps a critique of the product is warranted, but even then that is questionable. Express your appreciation of their talent and inquire to their well being if updates don't occur on a schedule that meets your expectations but telling authors to write faster is offensive. Stellar, thanks so much for continuing your Spirit of Fire odyssey - this is well conceived and developed. I appreciate your willingness to share the universe you have created!
-
Your writing is quite compelling - was happy to see an update so soon! It's looking as if a lot of these minor details will become quite important in future chapters. Well done and very much looking forward to see more of your writing!
-
this first chapter seems to indicate you have very definite path for the story and your characters. I am very much looking forward to this develop! Oh, and since you asked for critism - sorry, dont have any! spelling and grammar way better than average, composition good and all the details match up very well. Very Good! Thank you for sharing and looking forward to more!
-
wow, very much troubled by your story but that does not mean i dont appreciate it. everything you specify - besides the technology - is well within the bounds of believability now :-( humans continue to disappoint me how they can damage each other. the beginning of the story just sticking a knife in me. add into the mix the current usa administration ignorance of the humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico, the end of this store twists the knife it inserted into my regard for humanity. i am looking forward to future chapters, the growth of the characters and, eventually, resolution of the pain inflicted unjustly on danni.

a terrifying introduction to Josh's brothers life - not knowing his name contributes to the depression a kid in this situation evokes. thanks for reminding us of the issues that some people, even as children, must face. looking forward to reading the other chapters you have already posted.
-
what a generous present you have given your readers! the time and effort you put into this series is greatly appreciated! i hope that there are future chapters struggling to get out of your fingers and onto your keyboard! thank you!
-
always the cliff hangers - guess that is part of what makes me so happy to see a new chapter!
-
hi, very much enjoying this series and how it is well connected to where it is going. that the chapters have been coming so fast it is a great and unexpected gift. thanks!
-
thanks for sharing your story - so surprised to see this new chapter come up so quickly! i am looking forward to your story continuing!

Interlude 4: Doctor Shane Thomas
NoSkis commented on Brayon's story chapter in Interlude 4: Doctor Shane Thomas
i suppose that most/many of us have been in the "ends justifies the means" camp at some point, though hopefully we have learned from that experience the problems that develop from there. but it is satisfying to see that you seem to be pleased with the arc shane's future takes! -
Interlude 4: Doctor Shane Thomas
NoSkis commented on Brayon's story chapter in Interlude 4: Doctor Shane Thomas
While i tend to be a pacifist and dont agree with capital punishment, since it seems unlikely a guilty judgement would be rendered and punishment enforced against Dr. Thomas, perhaps Aeris will have another opportunity to use his sidearm, not to kill, but to inflict damage that leaves Dr. Thomas' mind whole, but not his body. Dr. Thomas' and Adirmal Toews' cavalier attitude towards the lives of the marines, marines that are supposedly on the same side, is distressing. thanks for the interlude, i think ;-) -
Interlude 3: Friendship & Trust
NoSkis commented on Brayon's story chapter in Interlude 3: Friendship & Trust
so the prime future four (f4), which altered the prime time line by providing information, can no longer affect the actual time line as the(ir) time line has split from the actual time line, as you explained. the alpha f4, which result from the humans surviving the battle of gilese prime, could potentially alter the actual time line because they presumably have the ability to scry 'their' past, see the results of the alpha f4's actions and provide additional information as they see fit, creating another divergence which would lock alpha f4 from affecting the story past that point, and result in the creation of beta f4 that would allow their influence/access to the actual/story time line. your explanation has been very helpful - if i have it right, i think that i understand how different time lines can be developed and their limitations as to what the future time lines can affect. finally. Thanks!!
