  1. I should start off with I tend to only read stories on here that are complete because some of them never get finished or take more time then my patients can stand to be finished. But once I commit to a story I tend to see it through to the end. I think this broke both of my standards. The story as a whole hits a lot of hard topics and handles them amazingly well. After so much build up to have this last chapter was just a jerk around and poor execution in comparison to the rest of the story. Maybe breaking it up and labeling half as an epilogue? I can't see where you are taking it and I know I don't want to invest 100,000 words to be lead down another path that I like only to find the end another pull the rug from under me. I agree with the others that said it this end doesn't fit and kills what is a great and powerful story. It really feels like you got to the end which you had planned out only to realize you wanted to write more and slapped something together to make it work rather then going with the long held plan. Sorry if this was harsh. I do really like everything up until this time jump psudo-hook for the next book....well maybe minus the mid stream adding a narrator, something woven in earlier to hint that it was coming could easily smooth that though.

    Chapter 4

Some intresting ideas (I even have a similar one I will pen some day) but quite hard to fallow. I am not sure if there are a lot of mysterys that have to be explained, things I missed in reading or things you need to elaborate on. At this point I am too lost that not even good ideas can push me to finish. Let me know if you do a rewrite/heavy edit and I would love to give it another go then.
  3. Thank you kindly. The dyslexia tends to make me fail at editing or finding the word I am looking for in spell check :S

It was a striking dream. Nope those are all mistakes. Feel free to let me know what the are
  5. In the dead of the night When a dream is in full flight There you are in plain sight That sets my heart a race All I can do is crave your embrace I know it in every bone You still own my corazone In the dead of the night When a dream is in full flight There you are in plain sight Through thick and thin You always had the dopey grin Your body so warm to the touch It never made me sweat, too much In the dead of the night When a dream is in full flight There you are in plain s

    Failure

Well 365 did fail for a myriad of reasons. Some out of my control, some totally in my control and some old issues which were brought in to the light due to the concept. So yes I failed but it wasn't 100% and the large goal of pushing myself to mend broken parts and face new challengs was meet. And I think I may try again this year but the approach must be far different. I think the block for this year is finding a non-baised way to hold myself accountable. Here isn't the best place, not that those who might repond will judge more some of the walls broken down are quite personal and being they type who doesn't actualize thoughts until they are said outloud or written, a blog isn't the best place to do so. Maybe go back to the old school journal.... eh I will figure something out probably after I get some more legit suff on here.

    Chapter 5

I liked it but I agree introducing and then hightening the tension on what seems to be one of the biggest conflicts of the story just before you end the story leaves a bad taste. A few more lines aleaving some of that tension would have been great or dropping all the hype in the last chapter about the Mad Cow. Or just write a sequel Keep up the good work.

    Chapter 28

Another great one. (Yes another, you have written a couple of the ones I enjoy rereading.) A touch rush to the end but you need to be ready for NaNoWriMo
  10. I did enjoy it quite a bit. It felt the ending was quite fairy tale-esk. If it was real life, it feels like a bit more has to be resolved. But if that was the impact you wanted, then it is perfect

    Epilogue

Great story that was really well accented by the hyperlinks into the other charcters minds. Keep up the good work

    Gung Hay Fat Choy

Completed 1-hike - PG&E Trail in Lost Gatos 1-gym visit 3- movies- The Artist (academy winner), Robocop (good for a reboot), The LEGO Movie (everything is awesome!) 2- Annual events – SF Pillow Fight, Chinese New Years Parade 1-Un-Plugged day- twas a bomb b-day to not worry about stupid apps, e-mails, calls or texts Modifcation: 12 of the 28 lazy days have been changed to Un-Plugged days I haven’t had a chance to work on some of the long term projects, I will probably do some guitar and start the deep clean/purge today. I was also thinking that having commenting enabled on here might be me seeking out validation and therefore undermining the long term project of getting some more confidence. I will toy with it a touch longer. Or maybe not worry about it if no one takes note of the blog…probably that it is what I will do. As long as I stay relatively anonymous I will keep it open but not respond to comments. But if it picks up any momentum I will lock it down. 8 down in 3 days. 357 to go in 362 days

    The LIST

Nope, I am the list type of peson. I pride myself on setting unresable goals and meeting them, enjoying checking them off as I go. It is playing it "smart" for me. Besides many of these are easy to do. Only 5-10 long term goals that will take time and a few I just have to be mindful of.

    The LIST

365 Birthday Resolutions/Goals For Year 28 12- volunteers day/projects 56- new movies (12 oscar nominate/winners at least) 12- craft projects; finish an old one or a new one, one novella-one physical-one poetry set 6- new cities/places-3 way new (If I don't remember from early childhood or had a lay over it doesn't count as way new but it counts for new) 5- visit 3 other places (only 1 SLO) 4- 3 guitar songs and the basics 1-be able to have a conversation in a new language 1-better at giving massages 1-better job/position 1- save 4 g 5- seriously reconnect with old friends 1-find a new love (guy, hobby, place, reason to live) 28- hikes 168-gym visits 1-learn to let go of things 2-toss two useless apps 1-figure out that tick 1-get some more confidence 12-things that are out of my comfort zone 12-get out and go 1-keep this updated, at least weekly posts of what is done and some monthly, quartly or so cross off/changes of the list, picures to keep track 12- anual events (Chinese New Year's Parade, mud runners, 1/2 marathones etc., at least 10 must be new) 1-less impulsive 1-don't let thinking bog you down 1- less B.C. 2-deep cleans/purges 28-lazy days (I only get this many ie motivation to get the rest done also a cheat way to have 365 to do on my 28th year while not causing myself to age 3 years due to the stress of getting all these done.) Other rules: Categories that are long term self help issues, valid improvement will count as completion if said item is added to next year. Not sure if it will count as a new item or just and extra for next year. Substitutions are allowed since it is life and shit can hit the fan or find yourself moved to a new country or such. Bouns points for each lazy day not used but it has to be replaced with something.

    Chapter 15

I would have swarn I rated and thanked you for this story...guess not. I will fix that now It was nice to have a good twist and a not perfect ending for once. Life isn't always easy street with Disney endings. Thanks

    Chapter 39

I just wanted to say this is one of my favorite stories on here, probably because it is the prefect reread lenght and a great story. If you don't find it insulting, I would say good rom-com set up.

    Second Chances

We don't always get second chances nor do we always take advantage of the first one. I guess that is the theme of my 28 year on this planet. You see I don't belive in New Years Resolutions. Why let some random date dicate when you make changes in your life. (Sure we should be doing that everyday) So I chose one viatal to me, my birthday. I have made a list of things I don't want to waste any more not time doing....well for the most part, a few are just to oblige me to do things I should but don't do :-p Since I already made this blog I am going to run with it and use it to keep a record of my b-day resolutions. Sure some of them easy like go to the gym a million times or go for a hike, but others will probably force me to break down some walled in emitions or fight some demons. I want to make a record of it to hold myself accountable and so I can look back at it. Just so you know 2 of the 365 resoultions are publish at least a short on here if not a noval and get a few pomes out. I am still hammoring the final list out but I will post it before the dreaded valintines day. And yes giving this blog a second chance too in the process.

    Chapter 1

Great parable. Not all changes are bad nor are all endings are fairy tale perfect.
  20. ....a strong pair of gonads and a step. So I thought after spending a few months reading far too many stories on here it was time I put my own thoughts to pen....errr pixel? So tomorrow I officially will start writing in what I am now naming the "Bloodline" universe with most likely "Faery Boy" book. Both titles are a work in progress for now. I doubt I will nail them down until later. But I hope to have a first draft of chapters 1 and hopefully two done by Monday. So why bother with a blog if you don't have your shit together? I figured got to start making myself known enough so someone can help me edit. Hopeless at editing *points to self* and also I know I will keep up with my writing if I know someone, anyone is reading. Ie accountability :-p Next post should be a glimpse into the "Bloodline" Universe or talking about the posted chapters. Cheers wholysoul p.s. gonads = balls/ovaries....well preformed ones p.p.s. In other words I tell my female friends to grow a pair of ovaries and women up. When gender is unknown I use gonads.
  21. Depends are we talking legit facial hair or the 1-5 day no shave (depending on how fast it grows)? The latter I think most of the time does look hot, the former can depending
  22. "math should be left out of the equation" HAHAHAHA
  23. OH dearie...hahahahah
  24. Sounds sweet. I am in especially if it is the first week of June, I will already be down.
  25. The distinction should be made between comic books and graphic novels. Novels end, comic books don't, they keep going and going and then get remade or slapped into a new universe. Unless they go out of favor and die off. Consider Watchmen or the bomb V for Vendetta both were graphic novels to start. Further not all of us think in word, some think in pictures and images so why force every one to conform to one form of communication when the suck at it. (I am such but here I am about to write something that hopefully won't want to make you beat your head against your computer :S ) Besides good actors and special effects are expensive while drawing is pretty cheap.
