Really? Do you think Malachi told Adrigal his predecessor went missing? Marie worked there the same time as Adrigal. All he heard she quit because she was bored. Would you try to contact a colleague who quit and maybe moved? If not, how would you learn they went missing?
Thanks for your comment, drought.
Why? Stephen vanished at least five years ago. There was no body. Not every missing person case becomes a murder investigation, sometimes people just vanish. Marie only quit her job because she found a more interesting place to work. Where? We don't know. Maybe in another city, state. Would the police there ask her former employer in another city, state when she goes missing? Or her current employer? I don't think so. Adrigal went missing maybe a month ago. Do you think they normally crossreference employers of missing persons ? Hindsight is a bitch, they don't need to be embarrassed.
Thank you for the comment, Tim.
Dwight gets the job of his dreams: PA for the famous murder mystery author Malachi Murray. It isn't what he had hoped for until he is send to Venice to research a cursed palazzo.
Forever Together
I entered the coffee shop and ordered a tall Vienna. After taking the first sip, I called Mom.
“Darling! How did it go?”
“I aced it, Mom! I’m pretty sure I got the job. Can you imagine? Personal assistant for Malachi Murray!”
“Now, now, baby, don’t jinx it. When will you know for sure?”
“The guy from the recruitment agency said they’ll call me, probably today. I’m so excited!”
“You don’t say.” I could hear the smile in her voice.
Ever since Mom
I'm going thru my old stuff and found this gem. Thank you @jfalkon for your kind words. I tried to create a mythology and I am extremely pleased you think it's impressive.
Thank you.
Be not. I love history. I didn't know about auto-da-fe. To write this series I read a lot of history texts: about Babylonian gods, about military campaigns an excavations.
Cool! You found it.
You're the first who read all three books in one go (with a few interruptions I guess)! Perfect! Thank you for your great comments. You pulled me away from upcoming writer's block. I'm very thankful.
About Sho and Ivan's story. @Thirdly, @Valkyrie and you made me think about it again. I was sure there would be no interest. What motivates me the most is the communication with my readers. If there isn't any or much, the plot bunnies go into hibernation.
I'm feeling much better already.
Absolutely, I read some of his stories.
I'm glad you found me!
I couldn't say it better. You totally got him. Now he's free to meet Keith again in another life.
I think he needs to learn to forgive himself first.
Thank you so much for reading and commenting!
