Fergus gave himself away with that howl. Man, he’s losing it, and I can’t wait to see him go down. I look forward to Jimmy dealing with the knowledge that he and Sawyer have been seen. In two weeks all will be clear, that’s for sure. Great tension in this chapter.

Chapter 18: Sentimental Supper
Geemeedee commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 18: Sentimental Supper
I immediately thought it was meant to be for Tierney, Kaplan and Dirk to fall in love with the area, because it’ll take everyone to fight Wasshisface. I just hope no one dies in the coming battle. If you do rewrites, I suggest you mention the New York trio more. Once they enter the house they disappear until dinner. Maybe have them drinking beers and hanging out with Lei at the grill? Congrats on your first married Thanksgiving! It only gets better from here. -
Chapter 20 - Do you love me, too?
Geemeedee commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Chapter 20 - Do you love me, too?
If Nash hadn’t said he loved Penn, I was gonna be pissed. He saw the fear and anxiety in the man’s eyes, and he still pushed it. Ok, Penn loves you more than you love him! Now say it and put him out of his misery! I appreciated that Nash decided to turn down the Yevo job. That spoke more to his dedication to the relationship than mere words. I also appreciated that for at least one man, Penn was the one who got away. He’s a prize and he doesn’t see it. And finally, I appreciated that this is a story of two working class men in love. They aren’t titans of industry or trust fund rich or high-powered whatevers. Just two regular (hella hot) dudes. 🙂 -
Chapter 12: Objectionable Orders
Geemeedee commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 12: Objectionable Orders
“He leaned his head back down into the pillow and realized how tired he was. All I did was meditate. I feel like I ran a marathon! Looking to his bracelet, he sought for answers. Maybe storing energy is making me tired. Oh well. It will be over soon, and then we can focus on other things.” I bet it was the shadowplay that made him extra tired. We’ll see what happens with that. -
I remember that Sawyer is completely human, so I’m confused — is it possible for humans to become wolves? Has it happened before? I guess we’ll find out. And hopefully Jimmy will recognize the rogue. Great chapter!

Now that you’ve switched to Penn’s point of view, I think you should stay with it. It’s enlightening. Also, stories that bounce between POVs are jarring.
-
I’m rooting for Penn to move and make a life for himself away from his near-suffocating family. To me, everyone is selfish about wanting Nash around, including Nash. Turning Penn’s feelings into a game (wolf howls) may seem playful, but it’s really cruel. Mrsgnomie, I’m glad you and yours survived the fire. I live in the Bay Area, and the worry for those in fire zones has been constant. Thank you for taking time to continue the story.

Right?! I was surprised when nothing happened. They have 5 hours to talk about this bond that is so strong, they can’t sleep when apart. At first I worried Robert would try to run them off the road, but then he wouldn’t get to take his twisted time with Gemini.

Spiteful bitch. Hopefully Neith gave enough of a warning and Firuz will save the day. There better not be one hair harmed on Rashan’s head, either! I like how down-to-earth (pun not intended) Neith is. I wonder why she can’t see the deception and plotting against her favorite human?

I love the intrigue! Thanks for continuing this story. Take care of yourself. 2020 is kicking all our asses.

As the story progressed, I expected (and wanted) TC and David to go to therapy and realize that each contained aspects of dom and sub, and they could be enough for each other. I admire that you stuck to your decision that such a compromise would not be possible. It’s been quite the writing challenge to stay true to the core of David and TC, and you pulled it off! It was like a fairytale that so many family members were on board and non-judgemental, but you made it work. I look forward to the epilogue, and to whatever you decide to give us next. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

I’m a Southerner, and I know exactly how Jimmy felt at that first sip of iced tea. I’ve lived away from the South for decades and I still can’t with unsweetened tea, LOL. I enjoyed how Jimmy called out Maddie, and his comments probably made her think. She won’t give easily, though. Great chapter.

Where’d that idea come from? Do tell!

I love Sawyer’s honesty and how he laid his cards on the table. Jimmy was able to do so in kind. Lovely, mature stuff.

“My family calls for me, but your guilt held me to my mortal form. I gave up my life willingly, knowing what your future holds for you, Chasen. The magic I wielded, that the warlock had…” Wenn paused. “I cannot say more. But know that I am at peace.“ Sounds like a sequel to me. 😉
-
Well. I’d like to know about the scene. IJS.

I legit was waiting for this to come up in therapy or in a conversation with David, because TC’s upbringing made him the man that he is. As for David ... “David didn’t know when they would finally decide to take things a little less slow, but he was certainly looking forward to it.” NOTHING about this has been slow. I half-expected David’s family to comment on how fast this is moving. I know it feels right and all that, but how about making sure shit has a solid chance of working out before talking about meeting the kids? My jaw was in my lap. As you can probably tell, I’m still side-eying David’s character, LOL.

Thank you for continuing this story. I hope you feel better soon. The story: No one cares how Lysander’s dad died? Strange.

Welp, I’m drying tears ...

When I tell you I would NEVER go to a house I’ve never been with with two dudes I barely know ... AND let one of them drive my car? HELLLLL NAW!! They coulda had that conversation at a Starbucks or a wine joint! LOLLLL I still feel unsure about David’s place in all this. “... if things worked out I’d eventually want you both to move in here.” I was waiting for a raised eyebrow from David like, “excuse you? I have a house!” But I’m a one-man woman who doesn’t want to share a partner. It affects my take on any polyamorous story I read.

I used it before, too. Thanks for letting us know you don’t like it. I’m curious about how David feels about this. TC and Sinclair’s roles were clear (alpha male dom and sub); David’s, not so much. The desires of TC and Sinclair match perfectly — one wants to take care of someone, the other wants to be taken care of. How will David not feel like a third wheel?
-
Hell, I want a life of normalcy and decadence! It sounds delish. I look forward to Sinclair shaking the table. *devious grin*

I’m surprised at Sasha’s behavior, esp. because he’s an omega. Is he so bold because he’s from a different lineage? He was raised in the pack but he certainly isn’t acting like it. The alpha has every right to single him out. He has the right to be pissed by the insult of bringing another man into his space. Just because they’re mates doesn’t give Sasha the right to publicly and privately disrespect the alpha. Tristan can’t let it stand — he can’t be seen as weak. I’ll be interested to see where you take the character development from here.

Sawyer can see better than most in the dark. He enjoys Jimmy’s cologne-free scent. And “He wanted to see Jimmy lose control and go crazy, be the beast he saw inside. It was there, just under the surface, dancing like an excitable puppy.” Is Sawyer part wolf?

Wait, one between option 4 and 8 is right or between option 1 and 8 is right? 😆 I didn’t consider options 4-8 because folks like HEAs on this site. My choice would be option 9: TC says fuck all this, sells the house he just bought and moves his salvaging business to where there were Viking ships. Nordic men: YUM. Some friendships aren’t meant to last.
