I'm very glad to see the healer takes concussion seriously and keeps D'gar under observation as well as preventing him from fighting Thread. With his symptoms he obviously has a bad concussion, and he needs rest and quiet until he's completely symptom free.
I don't think Gary would be able to act and talk the way he did, if he wasn't telling the truth. Hunter gained valuable experiences and insights from his relationship with Gary, and I'm glad they had the final talk to close the book on that. It's sad that Hunter can't understand why his parents can be happy in their lives without money or power, but hopefully he'll understand when he grows up.
I'm glad D'gar is getting some calm days with J'rud and his normal duties after the drama with his weyrmate. But the mass mating flight may shake things up !
I bet Craig will discover that Greg is making a lot of short cuts and mising potential problems. Hopefully, this stupid new scheme will be the push he needs to quit is job. James will be happy to help him find something to do locally.
Well, I can't say it was unexpected. S'brin lives in the immediate now, with no thought for the future or consequences. He is also selfish and not feeling lonely is more important than loyalty to his weyrmate. I'm glad D'gar managed to be polite to M'rell - and it probably made him feel worse than if D'gar had been angry with him.
Is anybody surprised that the evil pastor had a camera in the room ? I'm glad Matt was clever enough to take decisive action at once. I hope he goes to James' father who should be regretting his lack of action when Matt was abducted.
D'gar is too honorable for his own good. S'brin will probably either don't care or he'll be just as angry over a few nights as over the whole period. Poor J'rud, it's not easy to love someone, who is in another relationship, and here he had a taste of what he's missing.
I'm glad Craig took the initiative to hug James, and the move was obviously welcome and led to kissing. I wish Craig didn't stomp on his dreams, but hopefully James can persuade him to drop the crappy job and join him in the cottage. Craig's neighbor gave good advice.
I hope Craig won't make the mistake of letting James do all the work of keeping in touch. Even though James seemed more confident and determined, he may give up if Craig doesn't do his part.
