    Chapter 1

Yes, we all want the answer to that question. I guess the easy one would be: 'cause I'm straight and I don't feel like that about him' and the obvious one would be 'cause he surprised me'. But the interesting thing is why he had to ask himself that question.
  2. I suggested them as a couple, not Ben (sorry if I confused matters). But I think you're right about them just being good friends.
  3. Do I need to get my editor glasses on and check my inbox ?
  4. I don't think it was a romantic interest from Gimli. She showed him kindness and understanding, and he admired her, but in a platonic way, is the way I see it. Just as @BigBen describes it. So it does not prevent a bromance between Gimli and Legolas. This quote is from the end of Appendix A III Durin's Folk, and it actually supports the idea of love between them (as well as being one of my favorite LotR quotes): So I have to say your idea has merit. YES ! Exactly. I always liked the idea of Merry and Pippin together.
  5. Hi Page. I'm good, but on my way to bed, as it's past midnight here.

    Ignoring Advice

We have a saying in Danish: Hvis du ikke vil høre, må du føle. That means If you won't listen, feel the consequences. I guess that's what happened to G'dol.
  7. Tolkien might have objected more to the ide of an Elf and a Dwarf being a couple, than them being males. Although Gimli did admire Galadriel, and it's said that he sailed West with Legolas in order to see her again. But I don't think The Simarillion has info about them, it's from the Appendices of LotR. The Simarillion is about the First Age.

    Chapter 50

No one objects to Nelson being clever and conning the Prince, as well as ignoring Parker's signal. The objection is that the British version of the story is that they were winning the battle, when the con happened. Compare the English Wiki page: The Battle of Copenhagen of 1801 (Danish: Slaget på Reden) was a naval battle in which a British fleet fought and defeated a smaller force of the Dano-Norwegian Navy anchored near Copenhagen on 2 April 1801. With the Danish Wiki page: Slaget på Reden var et søslag, der blev udkæmpet den 2. april 1801 mellem en britisk flåde under kommando af admiral Sir Hyde Parker og en dansk-norsk flåde under kommando af Olfert Fischer forankret ud for København. Selve angrebet blev anført af viceadmiral Horatio Nelson, som er gået over i historien for at have afvist Parkers ordre om at trække sig tilbage under slaget. I stedet ødelagde Nelson en stor del af den danske flåde, In the Danish version it says that Slaget på Reden was a naval battle between a British fleet and a Danish-Norwegian fleet. It does say Nelson destroyed a large part of the Danish fleet - but destroyed is not the same as defeated.

    Sentinals

I'm glad the confrontation with the Fallen Angel made the Priest revise his bigoted views of gay men.
  10. I'm glad R'feem appreciates D'gar's good qualities.

    Chapter 50

Well, I'm sorry Granger wasn't able to get to Copenhagen and prevent Nelson and Parker from attacking. But at least the Danes defended themselves well, and while Brits may consider themselves victorius in battle, we do not agree. Nelson tricked the Danish Crown Prince to order cease-fire. Slaget på Reden is still an important part of Denmark's naval history.
  12. I will definitely give the story a go. Always nice when I haven't read the story in the blog review and get interested.
  13. Good to see you here, M, and I'm glad you're OK. Big HUG from Denmark.
  14. Awesome, welcome to the club. Did the recent blog review inspire you, or was it simply a coincidence ?
  15. I guess the question is - where does the member title display ? It's not seen in chapter comments or on your profile, but it's shown under your name in forum posts like this one. The community reputation 'title' must be something different. I have the same 'Master Scribe 2nd Class' that you do. It must be related to the amount of reputation you have, since people with more and less rep have different titles (e.g. Grand Master, Adept).
  16. Thank you very much @wildone I hope more people will check out both the review and the story.

    Green and Gold

I guess it's the best way to spend the flight time, but I hope D'gar will insist on them talking afterwards. S'brin is likely to assume that sex will resolve matters.

    Heated Days

Well done, D'gar, and nice to see a Wingsecond helping his fellow dragonrider.
  19. I wish D'gar would consider getting together with J'rud, he's so much nicer. But if J'rud is in love with him, and D'gar can't return his feelings, then it would probably make things worse.

    A Day Out

Serves S'brin right if D'gar spends time away for a while. But hopefully matters will be solved by his green rising.

    Changes

I'm glad for both Zalna and R'feem that Piroth flew her queen. D'gar is kind and considerate, and a loyal friend.
  22. I very much enjoyed this story, and the ending was perfect, with a successful hatching to start D'gar's future as Weyrlingmaster.
  23. I don't normally go on rollercoasters, because I hate that drop. But if it's more about speed than dropping, I'm fine. Scariest one I ever did was the Revenge of Mummy in Universal Studios Theme park, Florida.

    Chapter 14

Guess it's time to update the list, though I'm surprised nothing more happened with Tom. But I guess Will was very focused on Connie.

    Chapter 13

I'm always happy to see Will and JP interact. They have a great relationship. Also good to see Will be mature and helpful to Stef.
