Chapter 11 Visits and meetings
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 11 Visits and meetings
I'm glad you liked the surprise, did you guess it when the door bell rang? Of course Peter was surprised in turn with the warm welcome, and then not so nicely by the stupid neighbor. Although he probably doesn't understand or care about her disapproval. Lego does indeed trandscend all language barriers. When Michael's English improves and his health too, I think Ian may become a great playmate. Mr Archibald will probably be glad to take him over for a visit, tea and Danish cookies. -

Thank you my dear dragon. You know all about difficult family members and nasty women, who should never be allowed to crawl out from under their rocks. I won't be able to compete with your creations although Fiona's mother may be close. Patrick asking questions about himself and what he recall of his relatives are indeed a good idea. I hope I can live up to yur expectations. -

I'm pleased you noticed how Patrick keeps moving forward. He would never had thought of inviting Mr. Archibald and his daughter and grandson before. lol, you may well be right about Arthur not wanting to move at all. But luckily he won't be far away. Yes, Michael's lack of English words may have helped keep Peter's surprise a secret. Did you guess what would happen when the door bell rang? -

Yay another Lego and Richard Scarry fan. They were only details to bring some real stuff into the story, so I'm pleased and touched they evoke these happy memories. I have friends (grown men) who have bought Star Wars Lego for themselves Glad you noticed Fiona wanting to know about Patrick, I have hopes for them connecting. Yep, the fly in the ointment, somehow there's always one. But Peter didn't let it spoil his surprise. -

Ouch yeah, stepping on Lego with bare feet is a bad idea. But it's cool you're fond of them oherwise. It's the one great Danish toy invention we're all proud off. I couldn't not have Lego in this story. I had to make a chart to keep track of the days, I had a hard time believing only a week had passed. But yeah, they are more than ready for the next step. -

so true. this comment made my day, I laughed so hard. I may have to let someone say this about her in the story. Thank you for reading and reviewing. -

It's so cool how my readers (of a certain age) have this instant connection with Richard Scarry and Lego. I'm delighted the chapter made your heart happy. You may want to skip some parts of the next chapter, if you know what I mean. -

Tak, min ven, I'm glad you're caught up even if you now have to wait with the rest of us. Pleased to hear this created warm fuzzy feelings. Yeah, let's hope the stupid people next door take a hike. Perhaps we can get John and Anthony to buy their house. -

I love that both the book and the Lego evoked so many memories and even the urge to go out and buy some Lego. Yeah, nephews and nieces or in my case younger cousins are great excuses for buying Lego and playing with racing cars and stuff like that. I hope you also enjoyed the rest of the chapter. -

I'm glad you think they don't need to wait any longer. Sunday will hopefully be hot. lol I agree - a pox on disapproving women - but at least Patrick has one nice neighbor. You can't win them all. -
Fun first encounter in spite of the fire. I wonder where his backpack was when he got tackled by the fireman? But since his phone was still working, it must have been OK. In Denmark, you'd never leave victims of a home-destroying fire standing around in the road at 3 am. They would be taken to a hotel or shelter if they didn't have anywhere to go. But I suppose he did pretend he had somewhere to stay. Rather silly, but then he's sort of in shock. I look forward to see where the story goes from here. Well, we sort of know, but the journey will be fun to follow.

Prompt 492 Now what do we do?
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Prompt 492 Now what do we do?
You're welcome and thank you for a long, wonderful review. I love your enthusiasm, Drew. But yes, you're right about Trevor being pleased about the thought of Eric becoming his successor and I think he sold the idea quite well. With Nelson behind the idea, I think Eric will soon cave. But Rob won't be forgiven in a hurry, no. Yeah, Rob likes the idea of rattling the calm and cool Trevor. Whether he'll go as far as inviting him to the Prom for real, I'm not sure. But perhaps Trevor will ask him first. You could be rigth about this diverting the attention from Nelson and Eric, but remember, they are not going to the same Prom. Nelson is only a Junior, but Trevor and Rob are Seniors. -

To tell you the truth I often wonder what is going on in Rob's brain. But he does enjoy the flirting fun with Trevor. Eric wanting it to be his decision was an astute observation, LL. He hates Rob pushing him, but Nelson may have more success. -
Prompt 492 Now what do we do?
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Prompt 492 Now what do we do?
Thank you, min ven. I think Eric would be a good GSA president, and like you say his family and friends will back him up. They just need to convince him. Rob might go with Trevor for a laugh or to bolster the GSA image, but unless Melanie tries to harm him by more gossip, I think he'll prefer to go stag than find a new date. Also I think Trevor would like a real date, but if none are available he may 'settle' for Rob. -

I hadn't thought about that at all, AC, only the Prom was on my mind. I can sort of see Rob kissing a guy if only to find out whether it does anything for him or not. On the other hand, he may never go there unless he falls in love. Time will tell or not... -
More ominous hints about the parents. Tareth is probably the only one Ashton can trust with protecting Kye. Like him I have no idea who Lee is, you're so sneaky, c-mom.

Fast and furious. I only have one question: where did the bullet go from the shot the robber managed as Joe knocked him out?
-
“Now what do we do?” Eric muttered to Rob as his brother parked the car a few spaces away from Jasper’s blue pickup. The unmistakably handsome figure of Trevor next to Nelson, both of them chatting happily with Maria, Tony, Jasper and Carolyn, made his guts clench. It wasn’t actually jealousy or worry, more like a possessive urge to jump out of the car and rush over to ‘claim’ his boyfriend. Showing the world – and Trevor – that Nelson was his and his alone, which was ridiculous because the GSA

Wow, Def, I'm amazed and impressed by your ability to include so much, yet give nothing away of the deep plot developments. No wonder you have recently taken on the red Author mantle.- 6 comments

Weekly Update Weekly Wrap Up (Apr 10 - Apr 16)
Timothy M. commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Perhaps they are too busy with the NaPoWriMo ? -
For a long time I didn't want to read this, because it scared me, even though I knew it would probably be awesome too. There are no words to express the feelings you evoked in me: sadness, despair, anger, and finally a small flame of hope for the boy Daniel saved. I want to have a world where being 'different' is not a reason to get to this point, and espcially not for who you love. I'm glad there are voices like yours to remind us why we fight for LGBTQ youth.

Chapter 10 Housekeeping and dinner plans
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 10 Housekeeping and dinner plans
Thanks, min ven - and your wish for more has been fulfilled. I just posted chapter 11. I hope you don't have too many difficulties with the Danish phrases. If you do, let me know, and I can send the footnotes with the translations in a PM. I'm glad you liked Moster Grethe's name, and yes it usually comes from Margrethe in Danish too. We'll get to Michael's room eventually. -
Chapter 9 Shopping trips
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 9 Shopping trips
I'm a great believer in being honest and it can go hand in hand with being kind. But Danes are often considered rude - and they can be too - and lacking the proper respect. It's a difficult balance, but Moster Grethe masters it well. I think the friendship is a given, and the roses will play their part. That's all I'm going to say for now. -
Chapter 8 For richer, for poorer
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 8 For richer, for poorer
I shall have to dig out some more Danish cake recepies and post in one of my story topics to satisfy your Moste Grethe cake craving. Money was never going to be a problem with these two, because they already know it cannot buy happiness. But of course money can smoothen the way and make life a lot easier.
