  1. Once they were settled next to each other on the sofa with a mug of hot, milky tea each, Patrick decided to ask the most important question first. “What are your plans? I mean for now, but also for the future? How can we make this work when we live in two different countries?” In spite of having shown he was quite forthright himself, Peter seemed momentarily taken aback at the candid acknowledgement of their commitment. But the cardmaker could sense he was pleased. He smiled wryly and
  2. No problem, LL, I actually thought you had too, and in any case I also owe you some Crave reviews. I'm delighted to have you point out how easily and naturally Patrick gained the trust of Michael, not by any contrived plan or overly affectionate behavior, but simply by being himself and taking a genuine interest in the boy. You're absolutely right, it was something they both needed, and would you believe it: I've never thought about like that until you said it here. I love it when my reviewers give me a deeper insight into my stories. I'm glad you can recognize something I find logical too: that if you're mature and know yourself, you can recognize love and move into a relationship with careful certainty quite fast. Luckily you won't have to wait much longer, since I'm about to post the next chapter.

    Chapter 12

Poor Mousie. But Phen and the others will take good care of him and he'll enjoy the experience.
  4. You're welcome, Ted, and as you can see from the comments all your readers agree with the review. It's great fun and worthwhile to write these reviews when the response is positive and the author appreciates it.

    Bring Home Bae

Efrain set himself up for this embarassing incident with his inability to be honest about who he is. If I were his parent I'd feel pretty insulted at my son's lack of trust in me. Fair enough to do the DADT when he was single, but with a serious relationship and bringing home his boyfriend? Not cool, 'rain.
  6. Tillykke, Cynus. Godt gået !
  7. Umm, no, you've got it quite wrong, Lisa. I don't get any rep points for the review itself, Renee gets those. I need likes to GIVE to the comments left on the review, and those comments are MY reward. Of course, if anyone likes the comments I leave here, then I get those rep points.

    Chapter 4

I actually liked Karen at first, but now I'm all She comes home to a meal her youngest son has helped his new brother prepare, and she disappears into her bedroom? WTF? And Casey's father is something of a douchebag, I thought he was supposed to talk to Casey that night (according to Karen)? And what happened to enrolling him in school asap? But at least Casey met two nice teachers at school, so hopefully he'll have a few sensible adults in his life at some point. I noticed he did housework all by himself, and we're reminded he pretty much took care of himself at his earlier home too. He'll be good for Lane. I'm glad Lane had his own room, although you had me slightly confused at first with this sentence: It appeared that Rodney and Lane shared a room. Oh, and finally - I bet Casey is the first person to know Lane has been molested, since no one usually listens to him rambling on or takes him seriously. He probably makes that comment about Mr. G being a bad man every time he walks past, and no one ever thought to ask why he thinks so. Maybe because he mostly walks to school on his own, but I bet his stupid brothers have heard it and ignored him. Casey will listen to Lane.

    Chapter 3

I don't understand why people think Casey needs therapy. His mother needs therapy or maybe just someone telling her what an awful person she is. There is nothing wrong with Casey that can't be fixed with a bit of kind and intelligent behavior, such as actually asking rather than assuming, and treating him as a person and not a kid. Honestly, his father is pretty clueless, calling him Son when they meet, but I bet he thinks he's being welcoming, Casey's true personality is shown in the way he treats Lane, and that should tell us all about who is good and who is bad in this story. You might want to check on the time table for the road trip, I had him arriving at four am. I realize it must be four pm, but then Lane's mom suddenly says it's late.

    Chapter 2

I don't see anything wrong with Casey having sex with Terry. He invited him with clear signals about this being nothing more than casual, and he would have respected a no. Unless he's lying (and why would he), they both enjoyed it, and Terry probably had a wonderful first time. It wasn't nice to wish for his mom to walk in (although only for Terry sake), even if it woud serve her right, but otherwise I think Casey made a good decision. They have a nice memory to think back on. Only one thing confused me: Casey said it was four years since he'd been with Rollie, but that would have made them 12 at the time. I thought they were 14? Running away was not done in a serious manner, if Casey really wanted to get away, he would have caught the first bus leaving, no matter where it went. I hope he got a refund on the bus ticket. But I think he did a good job of rebelling against his mom's decision to send him packing. And she called him 'queer' - that did it, she's an homophobic piece of shit. may she rot in Hell. I'm glad Casey called her on that too.

    Chapter 1

Your story is new to me, but I shall look forward to reading it. I ike Casey and I certainly dislike his mother - and every other adult we've met so far. OK, so it's a shock to find your fourteen-year-old son having sex. (But why does she walk into a teen's room without knocking?) However, what kind of a bitch outs a teen boy to his parents like that? OK, she may not have known their reaction would be so bad, but then she should have apologized to both of them for making such a terrible mistake. Casey is absolutely right, she is the one who needs counseling, not him. I'm not surprised he is rebelling - and in fact I think he's being quite clever and calm about the situation he's in. Mr. Armstrong is a stupid, insensitive prick, and I was so pleased when Casey told him to keep his mum out of the matter. I laughed at the way you described the scolding and Casey's reaction. Awesome. She is a selfish, uncaring, useless jerk, who doesn't care about her son's feelings or needs but only about him 'making her look bad.'
  12. You're welcome, Drew, thank you for a lovely review. Yeah, there's a good reason why one of the tags for the story is 'parents' but family might have been even better. Patrick has longed for a lover, but I have the feeling getting a son was a welcome bonus. I hope there will be Awws every Sunday this year. And I'm over the moon that you loved the angel.

    Chapter 11

Arrrgh out of likes, and this chapter needed TEN of them I love how you're expanding the family. I'm not sure whether I want the fiancee to be faithful or not, because if it's the latter Mousy can stay with them, even if it's sad for him at first.
  14. LOL, yeah, how about some more likes. have a while you wait. but my payment is actually all these nice comments.
  15. Yes ! Awwww and for this great review, dugh. I'm so glad you were not disappointed by the high expectations and the anticipation created. I hope you keep feeling the same to the very end. You have anticipated what Patrick (and probably Peter) will feel at several points: disbelief and gratitude that they met and both fell in love. I love the way you describe their romance. From the very beginning I knew Michael was an important part of the story, and I'm delighted every time I get a comment reflecting this. Your description of how you see their family interaction fills my heart with joy, because this was exaactly what I wanted to achieve. for reading and giving me such lovely feedback.
  16. LOL, I know you were an early member of the Peter club. I'm glad you liked the review and I've already caught one new reader.
  17. I'm delighted you're convinced about the story being worth continuing to read. I shall look forward to more reviews from a clever dragon. LOL and on the good point about who will be sharing who, and I love that you're thinking of them as a family already. As for the living arrangements
  18. Thank you, Def. I hadn't considered Michael has having any special ability apart from the normal childish curiosity and forthright way of asking. But he's certainly doing his best to help things along. As for the devil of doubt
  19. I'm glad you think so. I assume you can read the Danish sentences in the story without translations?
  20. Tack så mycket. Hur att ha en annan svenska läsare. (I hope that was more or less correct.) Jeg tænker du kan forstå de danske sætninger i historien.
  21. That's great to hear. It's been enjoyable but difficult to expand the story, so I'm very relieved it works for readers of the old version too.
  22. Thank you, Reader, I'm pleased you think the story develops naturally. And I'm you liked the angel.
  23. Romantic devil, LOL. I'm glad you liked the angel/devil dispute, it's one of my favorite moments too. Yeah, Patrick has humor as well as self-insight, even if the former has had much opportunity to show itself yet. You're spot on with Michael, even though he has his normal childish moments too. I'm so glad you love him.
  24. You're welcome - thanks for reading and reviewing.
  25. Thanks, Caz. I hadn't thought about Michael that way, but you're absolutely right, even if he doesn't do it on purpose. Budding relationship is a great way to put it.
