  1. “Why are you looking at me that way?” My boyfriend immediately turned his attention back to his lunch tray. “What way?” Eric wasn’t as good as Rob at pretending innocence, but he was brilliant at not giving his thoughts away by facial expressions. I guess living with an inquisitive and interfering older brother makes you develop defensive skills. “Like you’re planning some sort of prank? Or, are you mad at me?” “Why would I be mad at you, Nelson?” A little smirk on his m
  2. I'm a dedicated fan of RJ's stories and did a blog review for Presence. Having been to London several times I can definitely relate to the very British feel of this story. It was frustrating at times, but the characters were delightful as always.
  3. You're welcome, Cody. I was glad to see Ron and Shane agreed with me (re your status udate).
  4. Nothing is worse than sitting there seeing the bad stuff happening without being able to do anything. Be prepared for a nasty reaction next time you're at the same intersection. Perhaps go there with a friend driving and have time to deal with the shakes afterwards. Don't feel bad about it, it's perfectly natural and if you suppress it and pretend you're fine, it can lead to more trouble. Trust me, I know from personal experience. On the other hand, the fact you're talking about the scary experience and may use it in writing will probably be helpful in getting over the fright faster. Take care
  5. Patrick woke the next morning to a soft knocking. He slid out of bed and walked over to open the door. As expected, Michael stood outside with a hopeful look. He smiled and motioned him inside, and the boy immediately ran over to the bed and climbed up next to his still sleeping dad. Before they went to sleep, Peter had put on his boxers and T-shirt and Patrick was wearing his new silk pyjamas. He padded over to find his clothes and slip out to get dressed in the bathroom, but a pleading vo
  6. A scent can be a powerful carrier of memory. I had a particular cologne I liked in high school. For some reason I stopped using it when I went on to college, and I'd almost forgotten about it. Then one day I came across it in a store, perhaps twenty years later. I tried a bit on, and suddenly I was this shy sixteen year old teen getting ready to go to school or a HS party. Weird.

    Chapter 6

out of likes so and lol about the whole club following Roman and Martin's romance. now we want to know the story of Steven and Christian.
  8. Uhm, so how did Roman know Martin would be dressed as a bunny? Are someone trying to set them up, lol? I hope the piano man says yes to the dinner invitation.

    Roman II #388

I have to admit I'm lost on the song reference, but I agree Roam should man up and make a move.

    Martin II #373

I know why I never left a review for this chapter. Alan's story was so fucking sad I couldn't stand it. But perhaps he'll have another chance, and at least his son will never go through the same pain.
  11. Hmm, 496 might be useful for another Rob and Co chapter...
  12. You must have been laughing so much at my complaint in my review for the previous chapter. I guess it wasn't too surprising Luke came out to Elliot after he admitted he was in a relationship with Miguel. But I hadn't foreseen him coming out to Ryan afterwards. Ryan's reaction was strange. He hasn't come out to Luke, so why be angry? OK, Damien may have come out to Luke, but since they were friends and not potential boyfriends, he has no right to expect Luke to return the confidence. And Luke didn't say who he was interested in. It could have been Ryan - what if he wanted to ask Damien how he could find out whether his best friend might be gay? We know Luke was thinking of Elliot, but Ryan does not. But perhaps Ryan's emotional state of mind was not the best for this talk...

    Easter Sunday

I wish I could like this chapter a hundred times. I loved it and it reminded me of Easter Sundays in my family. Of course here we have the Monday off as well, this gives us one more day to get back from the holiday and digest all the food. Jeepers! It was so funny the way the gækkebrev joke was turned back on Jay, I certainly hadn't seen that coming. I think that makes them even, and I bet Mikey will be writing his own gækkebreve next year - for chocolate of course. Their time together is filled with love and caring, no matter what they do. Cuddling in bed, walking along, enjoying the peace and quiet in the tree house, having lunch, watching TV. I understand why Jay got upset over Mikey drawing away due to the arrival of his parents, but it's not their commitment he isn't confident about, but his parents. They are the ones missing out, because Mikey does not feel he can show them who he is. But Jay (and we) has to trust that Mikey knows best about not confronting them with how special their friendship is. Let them get used to their son's best friend and his open-minded family, there will be plenty of time for them to come out to a wider set of family and friends. They are very lucky to have Jay's place to be themselves as well as friends who are like them - not to mention Jay's uncle Mikkel to help them with the big step. No rush for that, even though Mikey seems impatient. Thank you for another wonderful chapter, it made my Saturday morning brighter. Thanks, Gary, for making it possible.

    Chapter 16

I'm about to get very fed up with the way no one thinks to examine Kye more carefully and help him with his injuries. I have the feeling Tareth will think the same and I hope Ash will be embarrassed about his lack of care for the young man he has rescued. But the plan to take Kye with him to catch Barrett is clever.

    Morning Light

I had the pleasure of going back and reading the previous chapter again in order to be ready for this one. I loved their morning and how supportive Carol and Jim are. They are definitely making up for all the shit luck Casey used to have. To me the death of his father is a relief, he may feel sad for a while, but hopefully he can let go of the whole bad past from now on and focus on his future with James. But wasn't there a sister and a mother too?
  16. yes, and there were two suggestions of alternative victims. But Mark actually said in one of his replies, that there were only three people on board the plane.
  17. I love that Kellar is being rational and thinking things through once the first natural panic is over. All of his reactions, worries and decisions are completely believable, including him accepting his wolf side and focusing on making the best of his newfound abilities. Learning Wolf is one of your usual apt titles, but I was a bit puzzled about the wolf needing clothes (pants). It was only when I had finished the chapter I realized my mistake.
  18. Which of the victims mentioned do you wish were true? I'd be about the first name.
  19. Does Brad even know about the crash? If he's on his way to the clandestine meeting with his half-brother, he may not be available. I'm rather wondering why Stef didn't call Will immediately.
  20. That's one of my favorites too. And thank you for putting me on your favorite author list, Drew. I guess for some of my favorite stories, the easiest is to point to my one and only blog entry.
  21. Thank you so much, Tony. You have no idea how happy it makes me to hear you say the story is well written and eloquent. I work hard to improve my writing, and it's nice to know my readers appreciate my efforts. Of course, I'm even more pleased you like the story content and the characters. Moster Grethe was a minor character when I introduced her, but she soon increased in importance. I promise there will be more Patrick and Peter interplay.
  22. Aaargghh, Rex! How can you leave us with this cliff hanger? When I saw the title I thought 'Yes! We'll finally be told Clayton's secret.' And now I have to wait another week. On the other hand I'm glad to have the aftermath of the bar robbery attempt dealt with. Even if the news were not good. Poor Barry, he was a lot worse hurt than I thought. And Dave is going through all this worry about him all over again. At least he has more friends to support him than last time. I hope Ryan is right.

    Chapter 30

That last sentence meant this chapter made my day rather than ruin it. I'm glad Buzz is dead and even happier Brad isn't.

    Chapter 23

Karen turns out to be clever, and it's interesting to hear her evaluation of her husband's lack of enthusiasm about parenting. Well, I guess he likes to do the fun stuff like setting up a work-out room or go to sports events, but he does not involve himself in the emotional problems or well-being of the boys. So Casey was still right about feeling abandoned.

    Chapter 2

I cannot really blame Luc, because the greater part of their relationship was casual. However, he should have told Jason they were not exclusive even if the sharing with other men stopped. Jason having his heart broken my someone older who he admired was definitely karma. But what I found very interesting was the fact that while he regretted hurting Pierre, Corey was the one he missed after their friendship ended. Yup, sparks are gonna fly !
