This is one of those times when I want to smack Mick for being an idiot. WHY didn't he tell Guy about Lester? It would have given the poor wolf something constructive to do while he waits for Takashi and Riley to come back. If they do... I have the feeling being presented at the Dark Court will fuck matters up on a totally different scale.

Chapter 5 Cyber Friends
Timothy M. commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 5 Cyber Friends
I've read this several times, Gary, and I'm going to give up. There is no way I can express how this poem made me feel - or at least not differently from everyone else. All I can say is I'm grateful and proud to be your friend, Robin to your Batman. -
So the whole purpose of Nate going through all of this pain (plotwise I mean) is that nothing else would have snapped his glamour. And I bet the power blast from it breaking is what knocked Lester out and cut the ropes. Perhaps even gave Nate a bit of strength to get out of there. Let's hope Guy answers the phone, since he won't know it's Mick.
-
I'm with Cannd here. Nate has the ability to wait for his chance, but unfortunately the water torture is probably only the beginning. But at least it made him numb, including his empathy, so he couldn't feel Lester's sick lust. I suppose you learn to count your 'blessings' in situations like that. And somehow it was sweet when Nate thought of Guy being warm. Sort of a ray of hope in the cold prison.
-
This chapter as well as the next one are so disturbing it's hard to review. But I shall focus on Nate's determination to escape - and hopefully revenge himself on Lester. Getting chewed to pieces by Guy is too good for that evil sadistic fucker.

I had to take notes as I read the chapter a second time so as not to forget to comment on all the important things happening. Starting off with the Radio Pride segment was brilliant, it reminded us that they were a large part of the Leopards being able to compete. I'm hoping that next week Jim and Paul will remember to thank the listeners for their support.I t was nice to witness the conversation between Liam and Clarissa. They finally are where they were meant to be: good friends who support each other. It was even better to see the talk Deon and Clarissa had, even if she does tease the poor guy a bit much. But I suspect it's good for him. And I suspect Clarissa is also doing it as a defense against falling too hard for Deon. Jackie and Julie are a great team, Peter will miss them when he's gone. I'm so glad all Ty's hard work and Jackie's help has paid off. You're now forgiven for injuring him. Of course I still worry along with his teammates when I see him hobbling on a sore knee, but if they win the final, Ty will happily pay the price of being unable to walk all Monday. Such a wonderful end to the scene with Jim and Tony at the airport warms my heart. Tony deserves it for being so supportive and patient, not only during Leopard Spots but in this story too. And it was sweet when Jim went all worried and protective in the car. Philip and Jessica are both clever and kindhearted. They made Mary focus on being the hostess rather than the presence of Jim and Tony. I was almost proud of the way Phil went over to Jim and apologized. Somehow I hadn't expected that, even though it was the obvious - and right- thing to do. The brat is certainly back in fine form with teasing Dad. Good thing he hasn't heard (about) Jim's praise of him on the radio. Yet... Lots of pre-game nerves understandably. Charlie is being the perfect teammate once more. I noticed he didn't say anything about Stacey meeting his parents. Hope it went well. Poor Neil, being friends with Ollie and Helena must be trying at times. I'm glad Liam managed to fix things so he can come to the dinner and have Neil stay over. Knowing you we'll be kept in the dark on the details, but I hope they have a good experience, no matter what happens. Kevin and Clarissa are being quite devious with Liam and his friends from school, aren't they? But since Kevin started it, Clarissa is simply playing along. Fun for us to watch. I can see Evelyn and Kevin having a nice time together, and since they are looking for the same thing, it's all good. I almost fell over laughing at the idea of Ollie being cheered by a bunch of gay guys. Serves him right for the comment to Neil about his shorts. And of all the straight guys on the team, Ollie's the one to take it as a compliment, particularly if Helena likes the idea. But his fans may be disappointed when she tells them why she wants a copy of the photo. And finally the start of the match approaches. I got goose pimples when reading about the crowd and how they made the players feel. I loved Ty's reaction, and Jim feeling awe at the whole thing including the rainbow banners was just perfect. I won't even moan about the cliff hanger, because I look forward to a whole chapter dedicated to the match. And hopefully another one describing the celebration afterwards.

Naughty Vincent, I wonder if he knew what would happen. I hope he remembers the night once he meets Laurentius again, what's the fun of a wild whirl with a vampire if you can't recall it?

Wow, you plunged us straight into the drama with this one ! Hope the next chapter is more tranquil, and that they have a nice dinner. And I hope all the cousins tell the older generation what idiots they are.

Chapter 37 A Pair of Kings
Timothy M. commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 37 A Pair of Kings
A pair of Kings indeed ! King of Hearts and King of Love . We bow down and admire how well they play the game of fulfilling the needs of each other, whether spiritually or physically. How does it go? Gary is the King of writers. Was this review no 600 ? -

Tillykke med fødselsdagen from the Danish GA member (or one of them) for all your help and your work to keep GA going.

I though Zach was supposed to be clever. But for all his ability to manipulate other people he sure falls hook, line and sinker for the great manipulator (ED). Idiot I'm not sure Will calling in the heavy guns was a good idea, but it certainly ups the drama.

Social Anxiety And Crying Wolf
Timothy M. commented on Cynus's blog entry in Blog of Cynus the Pan-Ace
Oh we all have issues and insecurities, but sometimes they pale compared to what other people experience - and that is a healthy realization. So even though I'm ashamed to say it, you make me feel lucky, because I know I have an easy life compared to a lot of other people. But the good side of that selfish admission is it makes me more determined to be supportive and tolerant and caring and understanding - and it's somehow easier to achieve too. I don't know why... Never worry about venting or complaining to me, by PM or otherwise (and that goes for all my GA friends). I may try to offer logical and useless advice, I might try to cheer you up in my tactless Danish way, and I may say insensitive stuff because I'm not good with emotions or reading between the lines. If you want me to know what's going on, you'll have to be blunt. But I'm loyal and I don't give up on friends. I'm all for giving space and time, and I'm not one to take the initiative to ask how you are (sorry), but I'll be here waiting and ready to take up where we left, the moment you want us to. I'm in your corner, always. -

My main objection to all of this is why any Parnell out for revenge would go for Zach?? And the same if we're talking Black Widow in the shape of Mrs Danfield or any of Brad's enemies. Or even Stef's or JP's enemies. How would threathening to ruin Zach's football career and or his relationship with Will be revenge on the older generation ? Stef and Brad are rich enough to buy their own F...... football team and make it a condition that gay players including Zach would have to be accepted. I know that would fly in the face of history, but my point is that at least Elizabeth Danfield would not waste time on such a silly plot. I think this Parnell guy is a red herring. And anyway he was with Zach's old team and not where he is now. -

I guess I haven't thought about it, because blonds are the norm here. All kinds of blonds, though, not just the stereotype white-blond. Hmm, maybe I should suggest for Mark to tour Scandinavia ? -
I liked all the preparations, including the plans to have Jim's parents stay with Neil's parents. I hope they tell Mary and Phil how they were disappointed in Jim lying to his girlfriend and breaking her heart but they were OK about him being gay, even if they might have been sad about him not being able to tell them before now. I'm still waiting for someone to realize that Phil has been laid off due to his reactions in May; Neil obviously didn't catch on to the fact that Tony visited during a time when Phil would normally have been at work. On the other hand, Tony was expecting to see Phil, so perhaps what I'm saying is wrong? In any case I can see Jim's parents asking Phil about his job, so it may all come out there. I also think taking Ty and Karen is a great idea, perhaps Ty can tell Neil and his parents and Karen what it's like to have a real nasty bastard as a father. I think Ty needs to talk about it, but on the other hand we don't want him to get too upset the day before the grand final. I laughed about Clarissa having to admit she was still working on finding common grounds with Deon, but I guess the question is academic if they stop dating when Deon gets drafted. I can't help hoping Jarrod and Mary give it another try. They are both so young that they can work on finding mutual interests. Now if they come from very different backgrounds, it might be harder. Mary would fit in well with the other girlfriends, I think her and Stacey might find common ground, and Karen would help too. Great stuff about the Lilydale community rallying behind the Club and I simply love Matt and Gary. They are the kind of sponsors all clubs must dream about having. I hope the Leopards can give them the reward everyone deserves, even if I did feel a twinge of worry when Matt said they'd won the most important battle, even if they lost the final. None of that please ! Great chapter and I'll even take another one building the anticipation before the main event.
