  1. Timothy M.

    Chapter 9

Maybe this Family came into power when the Reinas were taken down. But word might still get back to Stefano.
  2. Timothy M.

    Chapter 8

Well, that was hot - literally. Corbin could just claim he had the road fixed so he could visit Paul any time he wants, so the gift is for him too.
  3. It certainly looks beautiful, but I can't help wondering how many native flowers and shrubs were eradicated to be replaced by the tulips, which may look nice for a month but contribute very little to local biodiversity (especially insects). After this rant we need a SATW comic to cheer us up: https://satwcomic.com/who-to-give-flowers
  4. No, but it's the correct text - I looked it up.
  5. I'm pretty sure those snails are Iberian. and they are probably slugs and not snails (it's the same word in Danish). They've been introduced to Denmark, and they're disgusting. If you ride your bike on roads through areas where they are common, after heavy rain in the summer, you can't help running them over. And they're cannibals, so more of them congregate to eat the dead slugs. I applaud you for actually finding a picture of a proper Danish wienerbrødssnegl.
  6. In Danish: En snegl på vej'n er tegn på regn i Spanien.
  7. No, it's quite nice. Normally, I have 5-10 notifications, so 40-50 is unusual. Having a couple of readers binge-reading my prompt story and leaving likes on every chapter also contributes.
  8. Oohhh, it's fantasy time !
  9. Thank you !
  10. LOL, it took them less than 24 hours to be reconciled. I think that's pretty fast.
  11. Thank you, Gary, I'm glad the story resonates with you, and the card description in particular. Hmmm, perhaps one black and one white kitten ? Also thanks to you and @droughtquake for leaving likes on all my comments. That was a lot of notifications to wake up to.

    Chapter 7

Well, if Chad's a cop he'll likely know about the whole Stefano issue and thus why Corbin wants to keep a low profile. Or maybe not, if all the police have been told is that there is a warrant out for Stefano and to contact FBI.

    Chapter 6

I'm glad Corbin made the right choice. Harris gave good advice and i think he'll feel better about Corbin knowing he has someone who cares about him.

    Chapter 5

Well, Harris did say Corbin had to trust someone, and why not a competent guy like Paul? But I can understand why he's afraid, especially if he's already lost someone he cared about.

    Chapter 4

I'm guessing Liam is a boyfriend who got killed by the bad guys Corbin is trying to escape from. I doubt Paul will tell anyone about Corbin being gay, because this would lead to questions he doesn't want to answer. Nobody likes to admit they've been rejected.

    Chapter 3

Corbin is doing his best to find a balance between being friendly and polite, but keeping his distance. I don't think he should feel bad about it. Paul has no right or reason to expect more so early on.

    Chapter 2

The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry... (Robert Burns) But let's hope Corbin can stay hidden in plain sight.
  18. Timothy M.

    Chapter 1

Let's hope it's a friendly local guy who's found him, and not whoever he wants to avoid.
  19. I get the same problem you describe with your profile and now also with Thorn's profile, but not Caz. Strange. I'm on a laptop with Google Chrome. Headstall and Puppilull also has the flash and then blue background, contrary to my earlier experience.
  20. Diego finished putting his room in order and checking to make sure Sablo’s bags were ready for him to collect. His brother had a tendency to leave stuff lying around, and he’d been in a hurry to get ready for his confrontation with Theo. Thank Heavens Rahmiel had been able to confirm his friend was present at Cupid Central, although it had taken him awhile to cajole the cupid to talk to him, let alone admit he knew where Theo was. Diego finally resorted to a spot of bribery, and he had the feeli
  21. Both profiles seem OK now - there is a short flash of blue background and then the cover flashes in. So the opposite of what you're seeing. It also happens with other authors, eg Headstall and Puppilull.
  22. remember no politics outside the Pit. But it seems Barr is biased and incompetent rather than criminal - but I admit this is my general opinion about politicians.
  23. I need to read Guarded and Silverwolf. Somehow I missed out on those stories. Interesting point about considering the roles of characters. I'm not that organized.
  24. I agree. @clochette you have to recharge your batteries or you will burn out. At least your dad now knows when your mum needs to be at the hospital, and hopefully they'll be able to help her. Enjoy your week at home (in spite of exams) and relax doing things you like. Then you'll be able to visit your parents with new energy, and surely that's better for everyone.
  25. I liked the story too, and it was really interesting to hear all the thoughts you've had about the context and the characters. Kian was so unsentimental and logical and focused, just the way an assassin should be, and he used his knowledge and his talents to win over Daven, protect him, and fight for a life with him. Daven dealt fairly well with the challenges and issues after his initial shock.
