Powerfully moving. I can't bring myself to like it because I have seen too many in that situation, but I appreciate the feeling behind it and how well you presented it. I have never understood how people can accept and even defend abuse in a relationship. We should all do what we can to stop it - everywhere we see it. Well done James.

The entire article struck me as a burned out teacher who no longer had the patience to teach. I did take personal offence to the late start in life bit, but as Sasha said - some of his points make sense, but were presented in the most offensive way I could imagine.

I can address the BC screening issue from personal experiance. My tumor was found very early, so early it required a special biopsy proceedure as it was so small. If i had not had previous mamo films to compare to, my ER+ tumor (the agressive sort) COULD have gone overlooked as normal changes due to aging instead of being agressively treated.

OK - I will be the first to branch out into the larger animals. The only pet I have at the moment is Bo, a 22 yr old appaloosa, who's pic I use as my profile pic. His full show name is Bodacious Spots, and although you can't see them in this pic, his butt is covered in brown spots. I have the same issue with having no idea how to post a pic here or I would share several of the hundreds I have. Even though I don't actually own them, I get to help care for 49 other horses at the barn I work for, so to a degree I guess you can say I have an entire herd, and I get almost as upset when one of the others get ill or injured as I do when it happens to Bo!

Thank you Carlos! Twisted is a good description of my imagination most of the time. Natty certainly needs something. Maybe one of those hunky mermen with some of the funny seaweed? Some of em have to be straight, or at least bi, or the species would not have lasted so long!

OOOPS! Thanks lit lover too! Lisa - your thanks is in LL's reply! He didn't really "give" me a break - it was more like I had to shut these two up before I could concentrate on the next Sanctuary chapter! Have you got a better explanation for some of the weird weather patterns we have had? The weather geeks don't seem to!

Hey now - I am not the one who decided it was MOTHER nature and not some version of a male persona. All I know for sure is she has been pretty pissed off this winter, and I don't particularly want to wait for Samhain (end of October) for the spring thaw!

I have personally never understood why anyone, male or female, would want to shave the more tender portions of the anatomy. One would think the itch factor alone during the grow back would drive a person bonkers. As for facial hair - I think it totally depends on the face and the style the man chooses. Some look good - others just do not. Might I suggest however, if a man is considering removing a beard he has worn for a long while, doing so during a time frame when the rest of his face is not tanned? A white chin on a tanned face ...

DNA testing in the first trimester is considered very dangerous and not recommended unless there are other reasons to do an amniocentesis, like the history of certain illnesses or birth defects in the families. Simply determining the father would not justify the risk to both mom and baby.

I am not so sure of that. Conception dates can be off, and we are speaking of a woman who allowed her cousin to beat her till she was hospitalized to further one of mommy dearest's plans.

Oh, I don't know about that! It would also completely screw up the plans Nana and the Duke just made, have ME forfeit the dowry, result in a fairly messy divorce since the wedding will come before any testing is safely possible, hard feelings all the way around, and I am sure some other angles I have not yet thought of! We have seen Mark thoroughly stir the pot in the past - and this one has LOTS of possibilities.
