    That struck me as a tad odd, After watching everything Brad and Will had gone through over the last 18 months and being one of Wills biggest supporters why on earth would Wade suddenly turn into a budding Brad and start planning to turn Ethan into a "proper Dansfield"? It makes me wonder what deviltry you have up your fountain pen this time! Good thing Matt has Wades number! Looks like he is going to connect to Ethan better than Wade will at this point. Waiting (no so) patiently for the next chapter. You spoiled us just a little by posting so often around the fateful day, and now we need to adjust to waiting again, but your work is so worth the wait! Thank you.

    But do ALL male offspring exhibit the shifter traits? Basic genetics say a white and a chestnut horse have a 50% chance of producing palomino foals, and 25% white, 25% chestnut offspring. So would shifter family momma + shifter pappa always produce shifter male offspring? and would shifter papa + non shifter mama have a 50/50 shot at shifter boys?

    Very true. Now, has someone changed the way an AVERAGE is found since I was in school? For there to be an average number of lifetime partners there has to be people who sit at the extremes of the range. Granted Will is at the high end of the range, All that means is that there are people at the opposite end. Perhaps only a total of 15% of the boys under 15 have lost their virginity, that is not necessarily due to a lack of trying. While it is quite probable some of them are because they are "taking it slow" for others it may very well be a lack of opportunity. It would be interesting to compare that number to the number of boys in the same age group who CLAIM to have lost their virginity during locker room boasting.

    Recognizing the signs of mates and that of being a shifter doesn't mean Noah HAS to be a shifter himself. He said his cousin exhibited that sort of mating behavior. Maybe there are shifters in another branch while he is not one. All we know for sure about Noah so far is he is damned observant and has at least a passing acquaintance with another shifter.

    Thank you Lisa! I had fun with this one. Kayla sounds very much like a real 5 yr old I knew once. Her family moved away before I got a chance to see what sort of a teen she would be, but if the imp held sway, watch out!

    It is a very different thing on paper - but not in reality. I remember as a fifteen yr old gal, in most cases there was one thing a 15/16 yr old guy wanted. I don't imagine it is all that different in a gay setting. There were many instances of 15 and 16 yr old gals pregnant during my junior and senior years. So - as i see it a lot of teens are promiscuous, both male and female. The difference here is the visibility level. Everyone seems to know about Wills liaisons. Most teens keep things hidden much more!

    Which is exactly the point when people start criticizing Will's promiscuity. Man's body and hormones saying "screw it go screw him" yet at this point he is just developing the social filters that would slow things down. What gets me is Matt was very much the same way throughout his freshman year of college and more, yet none of the people who blast Will even seem to think about how Matt was not only screwing everything cute that waved a tush at him, he was doing it in spite of being in a relationship with Wade.

    I didn't mean it to sound like I was forbidding the subject of comparative theology. I just sort of lump it into a grouping with politics as a discussion topic. Shaky ground bound to cause arguments and usually not the good kind! Bearing in mind I know no more about the future than the rest of you since I have decided i will try and stick to responding here BEFORE I edit the next chapter each day, I was having similar thoughts about Noah. Maybe he grew up with a shifter friend or something?

    We have all known a James at one time or another. An Amy too for that matter. He was certainly entitled to his opinion, and what he said could very well be true, but that wasn't the time or place to express it. Unfortunately the James' of the world never realize that till the damage has been done! You captured the emotions of the situation beautifully Wayne!
