  1. Trouble Comes in Three’s Sharon sat with her head buried in her hands. Her sobs could be heard down the hallway. Carmen sat down next to her. He really had no clue what to say or do to comfort her, but he was trying. "Come on Shar. Let’s get out of here. We’ll get some coffee and see what we can figure out. Sharon lifted her tear stained face and gave him a tiny little smile. “I can always count on you for a strong shoulder, can’t I?” Car

  3. Happy Anniversary, and may you have many many more.
  4. Nah - there are plenty of puppy treats to go around. Sasha just needed a little help cornering his characters! Hazard to sharing your editor with others. Believe me - i understand a story that insists on being written. LOL I do also work with Sasha after all! Please don't wait till the 22nd to send me the Christmas story to edit! (That goes for you too, Sasha and Wings!) And send along any chapter of Causality when ever you are ready.

    Chapter 56

It's nice to see Tony finally starting to pull his head out of..... grow up a bit. He has a long way to go, but he's trying now. As Tim pointed out, in CAP time it hasn't even been a month since the horrific losses the family endured. The bones may have been set, to paraphrase JP's imagery, but the healing has barely begun. There will be times where sharp pains will remind each of them that it will be a long road to a new normal. Thank you for yet again giving us the "inside scoop". There are so many who have only an abstract feeling of what went on post 9-11. I compare it to a fatal car accident on a major highway. For those driving past, it is a fascination, they may feel badly for the victims, but then they move on and go back to normal. For the people involved, normal may involve wheel chairs and funerals. For them "normal" will never be the same.
  6. LOL! We call em belly bombers here in jersey!

  8. You have got to find a way to keep your characters on a leash wolf!
  9. shucks! wait - that isn't the new word, although kshatriya would fit, that's the only one in my dictionary that would! This "editor" will not inconvenience you again sir. Game play continues with DDK's entry of establish

  12. I know that feeling Joann! I am still looking for a set of router bits i bought for my brother almost 30 years ago that disappeared into the holiday preparations!
  13. This is a tad late for Thanksgiving, but perhaps someone would like to try these for Christmas. I have no clue where I got the original recipe I started with, but like most of the contents of my cookbook, I have tinkered with it till I was happy with the results. Spiced Cranberries 1 qt cranberries, washed and stems removed 1/2 cup water 2 Cinnemon sticks 12 whole cloves 12 whole allspice 1/8 tsp ground mace 1 cup dark brown sugar Place berries and water in a 2 qt or larger sauce pan. ( Non stick is nice, makes cleanup easier) Tie whole spices into a cheesecloth sachet ( I cheat and use a huge tea ball) and place into pot with the berries. Simmer until the berries pop and are soft. Remove the spice package and allow to cool enough to handle. Process the warm fruit in a food processor or food mill. This is to your personal preference level, I leave the berries very chunky, a friend prefers them processed to a smooth, applesauce like consistency. Return fruit to the pot and heat thru, stirring in up to a cup of the brown sugar, or to personal tastes. Good served warm or chilled, and can be made several days in advance if desired.
  14. Military grade stink solutions??? I don't think I WANT to ask where you find these things - or why you were looking!
  15. Are they auditioning for the newest K-Mart commercial?

  17. LOL! 29 worked in my "normal school", but only if you had not fallen behind because of late rehearsals. 30 and 32 thru 35 seem like they are generational. My crowd would probably reference Cats. Neither Rent or Wicked had even been written yet! And I have to agree with Ron. Visuals, Jeremy, visuals!
  18. Yes. Your turn
  19. While the "article" was amusing, showing the excesses that could have happened, I can't see how anyone would have believed it. Honestly - after having CPR he went back to drinking? Spray painting someone loves cock? Don't ask don't tell may be gone but lets be reasonable. An the entire crew of a naval vessel? Who was minding the ship?
  20. One more thing to think about ( like you don't have enough already ). No relationship, whether friendship or something more, will work based on lies. Honesty is needed.
