Had to do a double take on this one. Pre caffeine and no glasses I thought it said granny's 18th. Was going to ask when she started counting backwards!

I'm willing to pay for information on how y'all keep getting in my dang Google Drive. $5 per route found. Sometimes being an editor gives you an inside track. By your third story with the same characters we can see certain things that almost have to happen before a story thread can move on! Either the gods show up or Dirk goes the rest of his life kicking himself in the ass over his lost mate. The bear in him surprised me in being so logical about it. I would have expected the human to be more rational and the bear to be roaring.
-
I smell another visit from the gods on the horizon! Hope someone remembers to ask how to help Dirk thru this. Losing a destined mate is bad enough. Being in the impossible position Dirk is might prove to be too much!

Your point? We always said we had to look up to see the gutter.

Long way to get back to where I started, but I am working on it.

I think he took a page from Clive Cussler's notebook. I would put money on that being Dirk Pitt's place!

Has anyone heard from Mike and tim? Or Mac?

Insomnia or was rhe pain keeping you awake. I went thru a stretch where I didn't sleep more than 2 or 3 hours a night. No pain, no help from otc supplements like melatonin, nothing the doc could find. He gave me an rx sleep aid it took exactly 2 pills. Seems I got up in the middle of the night, drove to the 24 hr grocery, then cooked before going back to bed, all with no recollection of my time. Angel is right, insomnia sucks!

Yay! Should have been done months ago!

Discussions tend to do that. It is what happens when people have their minds stimulated.

Nor I you. Personally, I think that the fact a reader keeps coming back every time an author posts anything speaks volumes. Means way more to me than any star could.

I find many people who read my prompt responses stopped reading because while there is the potential to continue some of them to multi chapter stories, I just can't seem to get a chapter two out of any of my ideas. As the titles suggest, writing my bright ideas down allows me to focus on other things. Unfortunately by the time I return to an idea the brightness has dimmed, and I have no idea where to take a concept.

Sorry, but technical issues do have a bearing on how much I enjoy a story. The best plot ever can easily be scuttled by lousy grammar or spelling. At least turn on spell check! While I can ( and do ) read past these issues, I have also been known to advise an author via pm to get an editor.

I NEVER read reviews or look at star ratings before reading a story. I don't want someone else's opinion coloring my enjoyment of any story. Same for story comments. I seldom leave comments due to several instances in which I was publicly ridiculed for my opinions. Not simply having a differing opinion, but "how dare you say that" sort of personal attacks. I do not leave reviews for the same reasons. Personally, were I moved to leave a review, honesty would be the key word. What I liked and why, what I did not like and why. Be nice but honest. For this reason, I would probably send my remarks in a pm, especially if I loved the story but find technical errors like spelling detract. All that being said, I also post any comments BEFORE I read those already posted, so I apologize if I have just repeated something already said. Now, off to read the opinions of others!

Anyone else got a case of weather whiplash?

That is easier said than done. When my one doc retired I started looking for a new endocrinologist. When I landed in the hospital with a major infection last month they assigned one for me. His office is over an hour drive from where I live, so while I currently am staying with him, I am also continuing to look for an office closer to home. Of 6 offices I have called so far, 1 is even further and out of network too, 3 are not accepting new patients, and 2 just never returned my call at all.

And that was from memory!

How about Fox in socks? I got stuck with it every year when Wings was in elementary. Seems I was the only parent could handle the tweedle beetle battle in a bottle with a paddle on a poodle in a puddle
-
Quite true. The combatants are based on my hubby's parents who quite literally could not be in the same room, to the point of having 2 parties for my daughter's birthday each year. On a bright note, MY parents loved the two party system!

At least @ a left you know who's turn it is!

I hate circles, especially with the trailers. Problem with them in Jersey is there is no law saying who gets right of way. Some it's yield to those in the circle, some its yeilt to those entering. You need to look for the sign just before the thing, and most just assume they have it regardless.

That was the most maddening thing about my stint in the hospital last month. Granted while I was incapacitated by the drugs they spoke to hubby for permissions etc, but once I sobered up they spoke to me like a 2 year old incapable of understanding. Their reactions were interesting when I told them they would respect me and my wishes or I would replace every man-jack doc on my case up to and including signing out ama and going to a hospital that showed respect to the patients.

Hey gang. Sorry I went poof. Had a few medical issues that put me in ICU for a week and am now working on normal again. Hopefully I get sprung from this joint by end of the week. Wings was supposed to drop in and let you know what was up, but apparently my brain was firing better on all these weird drugs than hers was normally. Go figure. Any way, I am on the road back.

Upper 60's is the shirt weather!

Is it colder at your end of the island? 20's at my end. I seem to remember it being colder when I eas a kid. Cold enough long enough to freeze ponds for ice skating.
