I am not an author and never pretended to be one. I enjoy trying to figure out where an author is going, enjoy the surprise if I am totally off base, and get a kick out of occasionally being right. That said, I have worked with an author or two who did change a story line based on readers comments. It has frequently created continuity issues that were tough to reconcile. I often told one writer that the only peeps he needed to please was himself and his characters. Sometimes they have specific ideas where their story should go.

I agree, bait and switch is low. But is it the author instigating or the site admins? Does the author receive a share of membership fees? How lucrative is the site?

Have you tried a spray bottle filled with cold water? A quick spritz when the offensive behavior starts is usually pretty effective. Good for everything from barking to house breaking, and has the advantage of working across the room too. Just watch that your siginificant other doesn't step into your line of fire. Had an interesting discussion when hubby stepped into the room at the wrong moment.

Ok, i have been craving chineese food since my husband mentioned that our usual place had closed for the duration of the pandemic. That didnt make sense to me since they do not offer table service anyway, but closed they are. Today we went in search of an alternative provider. Literally all the ones inside a reasonable distance are closed. All 15 of them.

Unfortunately it seems like the ungrateful pricks of the world seem to make up the majority of the help calls in any given business. Maybe because the feel so entitled they dont think they need to take care of business properly the first time, then need help to clean up the mess they made.

How many times have we been told being a couch potato is bad? Now one of the fast food chains are calling it a Couch Potatriate.

One more thing to consider. Health insurance. The term furlough usually comes with a guarantee of reemployment, but not of health coverage.

The weather man is using the s word in the weather forecast for tonight into tomorrow. I feel it big time in my hamstring. We decided we were going to order in for dinner tonight. Interesting phenomenon, every single Chinese food establishment close enough for it to still be hot on arrival has closed. These guys don't do sit-down meals oh, it's all take out. Weird

Loagged in to pay bills this am and found not only has my husband's unemployment benefits finally caught up, the promised additional $600 they promised did, as did the $1200 per person stimulus checks. Bright spot! Check your accounts peeps!

I am less than thrilled as well, but what choice do we have? We will deal and keep moving forward. I do not believe covid 19 is the result of some fool eating a raw bat from an exotic meat market any more than I believe the theory of American politicians setting it loose from a lab near that same meat market with the plan of getting Trump out of office. Fact, viruses mutate. Fact covid 1 thru 18 already existed. Mutation 19 just happens to hit humans harder than 1 thru 18 did. Will it and other viruses continue to mutate? Yup. Earth shattering pandemics every 20 years or so? Maybe. Historians need to look at that, in conjunction with medical peeps.

Hank didn't just step in it, he fell in from the top of the stairs, and may have crushed any chance of a peaceful coexistence. Luckily Chase has more self restraint than I. Both barrels would have been fired off if it was me! Nice!

It's the vinegar. Mildly antiseptic and good at killing the pain. Use cotton to swab it on a sunburn. Drawback? You smell like a walking salad,
