Love that you showed them including the pic of two men kissing in front of Stonewall. One of Adam Lambert's complaints about his time on American Idol was that they kept pushing him to "appeal to middle-America" which, although they never directly said it, he took as code to "be less gay".

There love for him comes through in that scene. These are kids who probably don't get to show a lot of unguarded affection in their lives, and their being comfortable around Jeremy to do so says quite a lot about both the kids and him.

Last couple of weeks have not been good. A couple of other personal / family issues have come up that have just increased my stress level. Listening to the radio at work this afternoon and a random song came on that nearly had me in tears and I don't know why; and I know the increased depression isn't helping my ability to deal with the weather changes and physical pain. Going to take the entire first week of November off. Have a funeral on the 2nd, Dr. apt. on the 7th, friends surgery on the 8th, and my boy's death on the 9th. At some point I might disappear for a couple of days, even if its just driving randomly somewhere. I know I'm not in the best place at the moment, mentally, and am trying not to let things get worse.

yep -- for Mason having two guardians that are/were cops definitely puts a damper on his activities Jeremy - still a lot of pain there, with his "I don't deserve this" comment

Took two pain pills with breakfast then slept all morning -- just woke up a few min ago. Feeling better but that will only last as long as I keep weight off my hips (like laying down on sofa or in bed). Ordered pizza for lunch; will check work emails, read the newest chapter of Camp Refuge, then lay back down on the couch and before the joints start hurting too much again.

Glad your day ended on a positive note @rickproehl - always nice when that happens. I'm not in service, but try to approach things on the customer side in a similar way you treat the older customers. There are stores I frequent often and I treat the staff professionally but friendly. I've had friends surprised at the service I've received at some of those places, simple because I'm [gasp] treating the workers like actual people. Most amusing was a few years ago when the manager of a fast food place I went to most days for lunch (before the high blood pressure when I started to have to cut back on such things) gave me a birthday card. 💚

Add to that the mostly under-reported agreements companies like Ring have with police departments granting access to the devices without your permission and things get worse. The town I live in has a voluntary site where you can register your security cameras so the police know who to ask for possible clips for "possible crimes in the area".

Closer to Little Brother -- there is no single overarching agency in control of all the cameras, just multiple smaller ones including private individuals -- but overall the effect is the same.

Joy. The "most active year" for tornadoes in this state [Oklahoma] was back in 1999 with 145 -- at the moment we've had 143, and after last night we could potentially add 4 more.

I noticed the new icon.... seems like the most bland milquetoast response possible. @mollyhousemouse - mom always left our bedrooms to us when we were kids but...she did occasionally have to be the "mean mom" and make us clean up our mess. 🙃

One of my last Aunts passed this morning. Only her twin and my mom left from their generation.

Yep - no one else would have been able to get the pics of them in the bathroom -- and those definitely violate privacy laws as even though you're in someone else's house you still have an expectation of privacy in the shower (even one large enough to hold a dozen people).
