Push, twist, pull it seem so simple
Fae Briona commented on rickproehl's blog entry in rick thoughts
I'm glad something stopped you from opening the bottle. I wish I'd found a place like this when I was younger as well - it would have made some things easier. -
I can relate to that

Day was hot -- heat index here reached 116F; it's still 105F. Should cool off some when the rain moves in on Wed or Thursday.

Drinks And Trolls Won’t Break My Bones
Fae Briona commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in Drinks And Trolls Won’t Break My Bones
True, but that doesn't stop people from demonizing corn syrup while at the same time trying to make Agave syrup into some kind of health food -- when they're both fructose. [edit: agave syrup actually contains more fructose on a % basis than corn syrup (56% vs 55%)] -
Drinks And Trolls Won’t Break My Bones
Fae Briona commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in Drinks And Trolls Won’t Break My Bones
Corn Syrup isn't any worse for you than any other refined sugar, just s Sea Salt isn't somehow better for you than regular table salt (all sea salt is is normal salt with impurities). As far as your body is concerned, refined sugar is refined sugar regardless of it's source and sodium chloride is sodium chloride regardless of it's source. -
Morning was filled with summer thunderstorms and pain, and this afternoon is the long dark teatime of the soul.

Finally accepting yourself can be tremendously freeing - lifting a weight you might not realize you had been carrying.

At low concentrations, it suppresses bitterness but increases sweet and sour notes.

Long long week is finally over. Went to bed early last night but woke up around 1am when there were storms near enough to make the joints ache. Only a small # of people still in processing but they're most likely going to keep working on them through Sunday instead of the normal 5pm Friday deadline so I'll try to not worry about them until I go in on Monday morning.

Was an insane, chaotic day -- but tomorrow is the last day of Orientation Week and is [normally] not quite so crazy. We'll see - I still have some Payroll issues to work out and clock is almost at zero for that to happen in time to meet the end-of-month pay deadline. Wish me luck.

As @mollyhousemouse said, listen to and trust your gut. You'll find the right Sir - or he will find you.

A bit. Listening to music and trying to relax.

Long day today, but it's Orientation Week and hasn't been any more insane than expected so there's at least that.

Early night for me. Enjoy your evening / day everyone. 💕

The very very last of our new Teaching Assistants gave me her paperwork today. Reminded her that she never wants to be the very very last person. Her excuse is that she's a commuter (who only lives an hour away). I had people from out of state turn in their stuff before they even moved; even the international students who didn't have stuff to give me until they got here this week had turned their things in already. Blood pressure is continuing to climb after having gone wacky the first week of July. Cardiologist hasn't called me back, even though I gave them my sheets -- and concerns -- last week and left an online msg for them last night. If I don't hear from them by noon tomorrow I'm calling them. It's going up at an ever increasing rate; was 140/90 when I got home today, which is high enough I can tell it's up. Before this it had been consistently staying below 120/80.

Left wondering what happened to crazy dude who attacked him.

Sent a slightly irritable email to my cardiologist just now. Blood pressure has been trending up since it went wacky the start of July. I dropped off my blood pressure sheets w. a note that I didn't think thee metoprol was doing anything and never got a response. I still don't think it's doing anything and it's going up at an ever increasing rate. Was 132/85 this morning; took a full pill; and it's 138/90 tonight. I need to relax, read updates to a couple of stories, and not get aggravated at the Dr because that won't help bring it down any. <sigh>

Oooooohhhh -- I just ran across that yesterday and thought it sounded lovely! Just need to find a decent low-sodium soy sauce. One of the recipes I found yesterday had almost 400% of normal daily sodium. ☹️

Trying to get some laundry done myself -- too hot to do anything outside (heat index is 114 F). Will be horribly hot again tomorrow, then "cool down" to the mere mid 90's.

The Mother Of All Misunderstandings
Fae Briona commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in The Mother Of All Misunderstandings
Definitely a huge mistake. ☹️ -
It borders on assault -- which side of that border I'm not yet sure.
-
I tried it and had good results on pain and anxiety -- however, it made my blood pressure go up. Something it's not supposed to do - and not good when it's already higher than it should be. I have odd reactions to Rx

Snuggling with your boy on a lazy Saturday morning sounds like a pretty good way to spend the morning.
-
I might have to look into that myself. I've started to have issues getting to sleep -- not sure if it's because I'm getting older or due to new Rx, Almost always remember my dreams, and most of them are very detailed.
