Bit late for an answer perhaps (life has been crazy) but Dark Horse and Apothic are both good wineries. Apothic Crush is a good, smooth, red blend; Dark Horse Double Down isn't bad but is a bolder red; Apothic Inferno has more of a smokey flavor as the wine is aged in whiskey barrels (but may be hard to find).

Letting Go, Moving Forward
Fae Briona commented on Mac Rountree's story chapter in Letting Go, Moving Forward
A bit young to be parents, aren't they? Loved the story. -
'Security issue that was a false alarm" -- wonder what that was

Had some severe storms move through late yesterday evening and then rain overnight. Joints are getting to me (could feel the rain moving in on Thursday and yesterday by 4pm wasn't pretty) and so I gave in to the joints and stayed home today. Probably would have left to come home by now if I had gone in. Being bad and ordered a pizza - have needed to go shopping but haven't felt like it. Full moon is this evening so I expect restlessness this afternoon. Hope everyone has a good day; and remember - Monday the 13th is always worse than a Friday the 13th.

Looking forward to reading this story again, on this site.

Enjoy yourself - but not too much. 🙃

Nothing wrong with going slow, getting to know one another, and then moving things further. 💚

Will second (or third) this one - hope things go well for you.

State Fair is this coming weekend -- which means it's time for more rain. 🙃

writing Self-Publishing, Self-Marketing, and the Self
Fae Briona commented on Thorn Wilde's blog entry in The Fantastic Mr. Wilde
"There are also indie publishers, but a lot of them are sketchy." In this state, a couple of years ago, there was a small "Christian" publishing company (mostly referred to as a 'vanity press' - which adds it's own stigma to self-publishing) that was sued by Xerox for $1.7 million for failure to pay for their equipment, which they later repossessed. Then, just a couple of years later, a large number of the people they, ahem, 'represented' sued them for "embezzlement, extortion and racketeering [1,400 music and text files to 1,100 authors and musicians]. Not sure it's ever been completely settled. -
Hope both of you are having a wonderful day. 💛

If I sleep well I always wake up with a song (or part of one) running through my head. Some are more odd than others [blame my breadth of musical taste] and figuring out why that particular song can be.... difficult. This is what was going through my mind this morning: This Corrosion by The Sisters of Mercy. Hey now, hey now now, sing this corrosion to me (like a healing hand)

Don't have a Prime account, but it does look interesting.

Having a good day so far. Found a wing-back chair for the library and with various sales and other discounts I got it for almost half-off. Just need [want] one more piece for the fourth wall, to go below the large print I have on the wall. Going to make some stroganoff for supper a bit later. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Stay safe @Brayon

Not a bad day today. Hope everyone else had a good one.

Came home at lunch today. Between the storms yesterday and the rains today the joints weren't happy. Boss (who lives a bit out of town) wasn't in today because of storm damage. State Capital had gusts last night that topped 90 mph / 145 kph, and left ~80,000 people without power. Some areas near here got 3-inch / 7.6 cm hail. Weather is supposed to be calm until Friday when we should have more rain and Saturday when we could have more storms.
-
Heat index this afternoon over 105 F; and an actual temp about 15 to 18 F LOWER tomorrow -- tonight is storms, starting in a few hours. Some parts of the state could get tennis ball sized hail [no thank you] and very strong winds. Our Fall severe weather season is starting early. ☹️

rainy morning, but not too bad this is my day for housework
-
Morning all. Looks like we're in for a stretch of rainy weather here, so may not be on much the next few days; depends on the joints.

I don't see Regan as being unreasonable. I see him as having very legitimate fears of his mate as a dominating and abusive individual -- something Gideon is quickly showing himself to be.

Yes - quite definitely on the side of assault, not consent. He deserves to be castrated.

Have a feeling that with Russel talking to Ursula its too late for them to stop any trouble.

At least Mr Cohen realized he'd messed up when he said, "Don't you trust me?" But... How does Judy know about the trip? No wonder they will be in trouble if word of the trip is already leaking out.
