Under [not enough] Pressure
Fae Briona commented on Fae Briona's blog entry in Thoughts from the Faerie Fool
No alcohol (none in the last 3 weeks, not even in cooking; rarely drink anyway because of my pain Rx), no new meds, & stopped coffee and other caffeine when I started the bp-Rx months ago (makes the pulse race). So no major changes. I am staying hydrated (though dehydration tends to increase bp). -
Under [not enough] Pressure
Fae Briona commented on Fae Briona's blog entry in Thoughts from the Faerie Fool
Haven't taken anything since yesterday morning. When I took it just now it was up to 115/80, pulse 93. Will drop again overnight -- if it follows a normal pattern -- but hopefully won't drop TOO much. -
THIS TIME????

Blood pressure was low yesterday morning so just took a 1/2 a pill. Dropped to a point I nearly passed out when standing up at one point. Only got up to 105/72 by 5pm last night (pulse of 75). It's just 85/62 this morning with a pulse of 109 (pulse would be that high because the bp is so low). No idea what's up but it could stop and I'd be happy. Need to eat something for breakfast then try to lay down and stay down for the morning.

As I said in another post, labels can bind you as much as identify you. It sounds like your relationship has evolved for the best of reasons - the positive change's tim has made. It's human nature for us to form "tribes" -- great for survival a few thousand years ago, but not so great now.

Never seen Alvin Ailey's primary group but have seen Ailey II a couple of times here at the University, and was able to listen to their artistic director, Troy Powell, talk about the program. Even as Ailey's "in training" troupe, they're amazing and their performances are amazing. "Touch & Agree" was one of the pieces they did, and it was amazing!

Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... I want to be there now!

I have black-out / thermal shades on all my windows. They work pretty good to keep the sun out; heat out/or in; and noise out. Today was the hottest day of the year (heat index of 103F [39.4C]) and the town had a power outage that affected just over 3500 households. I was just on the outer edge & only had a few dips in power.

Loved the scene between Kent & Stanley. Tad.... this was a touching chapter, with how he dealt with the insecurities & doubts of his lovers.

Right after I started working where I am now my BOSS gave me a small sign that read: "Wait a moment. I need to put on my 'Gosh, I really care' face".

Christopher -- I'll agree he's still in that process of acceptance, but it has at least begun. I live in a college town in the South and know what it can be like. No matter how comfortable you are there's still a situational awareness my straight friends have never needed to have.

That sounds wonderfully tasty -- not to mention sweet and romantic. 😊

" fortifications made of sand " has to be the perfect description of what Aidan was doing

Good thing that Christopher has finally allowed himself to emotionally accept that Tad will be leaving them. Very emotional scene. Marcus -- that one is painful; rural areas are still not the best place to try to learn to accept yourself, and can still be dangerous to be out in many areas.

Weather fizzled out last night and it looks like we'll miss the worst of it this morning. Hope everyone has a great day Glad you had a great time at Pride, Thron and Brayon. 💚

It's nice to be (& feel) appreciated. I hope you both have a great evening. 💕

There are times when the reduction in your stress and the boost to your mental health to not feel so overwhelmed are their own compensation -- though one shouldn't make a habit of it.

Reminiscing About the Future
Fae Briona commented on Altimexis's story chapter in Reminiscing About the Future
There are 5 short stories about them under his New York Holidays story collection. We can follow authors and follow individual stories, but it would be nice if we could follow a series. -
Me too -- there's a risk for pretty much everything today and most of it won't hit until late afternoon and overnight (we'll have two rounds of storms). We're should be past the severe stuff at this point, barring a strong thunderstorm or two, but weather this Spring hasn't been remotely normal.
-
Hope both of you have great days.

A well written, emotional, and very realistic story.

Going to be another "fun" weather day. Still 80° F outside [heat index yesterday hit 110° F]. They're expecting severe storms later today with high winds, lots of rain (another 2" of rain over the next 48hrs we don't need) and the possibility in the Western part of the state of baseball+ sized hail.

Missed this when it was posted. Great story.

A "transmission arm" broke early this afternoon in the city where my brother and parents live, leaving about 1/5 of the town without power (just under 10.4 thousand). Naturally, my charming brother didn't bother to text me until FOUR HOURS LATER to say that he still had power and mom & dad were with him. I hadn't had the TV on all day and hadn't heard anything about it. Aunt was without power too. Heat index there today was 108° F at 3pm. Can't find anything that gives trivial little details like why the line broke. 😕 He txt'd back a bit ago to say that mom & my Aunt had power but don't know about dad yet. Just glad that mom & dad had a place to go. Hate to think of the other elderly people in their buildings that didn't have anywhere else they could stay.

Sounds about like here. The joy of summer. 😑
