You have penned some of my favorite stories and created characters who I miss when I'm done reading. Thank you for sharing them with us. I loved A Rescued Life and was on pins and needles when he finally went to Jason. I wasn't sure. It was a good feeling though. I can't wait for more stories!
It is a fascinating concept to explore, previous relationships becoming part of the new one. I realize you are making it their souls inhabiting Noel, but it kind of is. Noel isnt JUST Noel but parts of others, which is also true of us in a way. Very interesting philosophical discussion Adi!!! oh, and the story is really good too!!!
Lots of good stuff up there this week!
I have a story almost ready for Blackout. I need to revise and get it to the team. It is based on an advertisement jingle.
Another powerful chapter that conveys a different time I remember well. I worked at a gay bar in Florida. In the 1980s in particular, there were lots of men in closets too small. They had beards who were none the wiser, at least at first. You have portrayed the pain and anguish which contorted their faces. This chapter reminds me of them and how miserable they were in the shadows aching with need. Great job!!!
This story is more common than recognized. Men of a certain age did try hard to be bisexual at least. I know many men who struggled with this issue. really, really well done and very honest. This story needs telling. Keep it going.
My chief criticism would be you transported me in time back to my childhood. you made me experience feelings from that era and point in my life. You did an amazing job of creating both character and suspense without me knowing. Wonderful start!!!
Interesting. I get a sense there is sarcasm in there and I'm not sure why. Or bitterness. Anyway, it definitely evoked a strong sense of disappointment or disgust. Quite powerful.
I love your writing in general and of course The Leopard series in particular. I like that you are character oriented. My question is without plotting how do you get to where you want to go? Or, are you happy with letting the characters drive the story? It's a hard balance especially if you have a story skeleton you'd like to articulate. I'm curious because I'm definitely character driven as well. I'd love your advice!
