  3. This topic has been moved to the Member and Question and Poll section. This topic also was removed for a day while the forum moderators looked over it as it had degraded to being off topic and was resulting in derogatory statements that served no purpose of the discussion. The use of foul language was also a concern. Please keep in mind the sites Rules and Regulations when posting. Due to the fact that the topic was getting back on topic and things have seem to settle down, we are making this topic available again. Please keep the above in mind. Steve Forum Moderation Team

  6. And then there is all the other stuffs that you enjoy, speedos, pool parties, naked pictures (shamelessly admits that it is keeping me around too )

  8. Well the good news is that Jake is going to get some relief soon from his regualr hook up bars Wait, did I say the good news. I agree to a certain extent that Jake needs to do something and do it fast. In this chapter he was able to follow his damn concious and not email the pictures of Corey naked, but how long befoe he can't resist the urge. I really don't know how a horny teenage boy would be able to take photos of a naked friend in the first place. Speaking from experience if a friend was taking naked pictures of me, I don't think I could just causually stand there My respect for Linda continues to grow. Even though she knows it might not be the best to have Jake around her son, she knows that really it is in Jake's best interest to not keep him away. If that makes any sense sigh Another two weeks until we have more Jakey
  9. Wow, the goat never seems to cease to amaze me Not only can he type, but he must read a lot to get so much technical knowledge to write such a story. I really liked how the story started out and then the tension built more and more and more until I couldn't stop reading until I knew the outcome. To finish off with the Commander's first name left me with a smile on my face. I agree that CJ has taken the cliffhanger to a new level One criticism, what is with all the littering in CJ's stories of late? First beer cans and bottles in the ocean and now drills in space Steve
  10. well behind the email at least:
  11. Thanks for the chapter CJ A fair bit of jumping around in this one. I think the devil is in the details, and there is a lot of details in this chapter. So Bridget confirmed that she is the evil one behind the mysterious emails. I am wondering though if Detective Gonzales is playing with the readers by making us assume that he is believing the leak is the dispatcher when he really now knows it is the senior detective. Curious what Jim and Dirk are up to, they seemed to be have been left out of this chapter. Steve BTW, if a goat can type, who says he can't time travel
  12. This Friday marks the one year anniversary of the day that changed my life forever. Last June 18, I was driving to work like most of us. I had some time to kill so I decided to take a scenic route and relax before stopping for breakfast and then onto the job. It was a beautiful sunny morning, I had the windows opened and when I turned on the two lane highway for the 5 km drive back into town, I had no idea, or memory of what happened next. I am told that me and a semi trailer collided on the highway head on at about 100 km/hr. I awoke to find a gentle breeze blowing across my face from directly in front of me from where my windshield should have been. I immediately felt pain in my legs and looked down to see my legs trapped under my dash and the airbag off to the side. I undid my seat belt and tried to push myself up to relieve the pressure off my legs. I
  13. a belated............ :music: Happy Birthday Vic I hope you had a great day and have many more over the year (BTW, can you let me know in a month or so what to expect for 42 )
  14. Happy Birthday Tarin :music: Here's hoping you have a super day and a great year ahead of you
  15. Funny how we all hear different things. Today I heard a reporter say that their is a French fishing vessel (we all in agreement here) that will be picking her up tomorrow. The only catch is, the boat wants to continue fishing so she may not be going home right away. Unless another boat comes to pick her up from the fishing boat, then she may have to still be at sea for a while. The next thing that I have several outlets is the question of what kind of parent would let their child try to circumnavigate the globe. It is funny that I didn't even think of this until after she was safe. Now that we know she is essentially safe, now I have some questions. I won't ask about the parents letting their child go and if it was a responsible choice. I am just hoping that the family will be receiving a bill for the search and rescue operation and don't balk at the cost. I believe if you are putting yourself in peril for an 'adventure', then you should be willing to pay for anything that happens. Nuff said My question is regarding the actual search. Maybe Graeme can help us out here. I am going by how I know the Canadian Coast Guard and the Canadian Armed Forces operates when it comes to Search and Rescue operations in regards to Plane disappearances and Boat disappearances. I do believe the US operates much the same way with the exception I believe the Coast Guard is an arm of the armed forces. When an emergency beacon is picked up from either aircraft or boat, or if a radio distress call of mayday is made, immediately an Hercules aircraft is dispatched from one of several Search and Rescue air bases. They cover the Atlantic, the Pacific, the Arctic oceans and everything inland. The aircraft is equipped with search and rescue equipment in addition to survival equipment. If the plane can not land or if Search and Rescue personal cannot safely 'jump' to assist, then survival equipment will be dropped. In marine cases it would be life rafts with survival suits and more powerful beacons and radios. I know that the Indian Ocean is a much more vast ocean and I believe that Australia is charged with most of it's search and rescue due to the economic ability of Australia opposed to the more 'poor' countries that border the Indian Ocean. My question is, does not the military/coast guard look after search and rescue operations? I was surprised when a Quantas jet was chartered to do the search aspect of the operation. Would it not been easier to scramble military resources for this? Or is it that it is such a vast area and the number of 'adventurers' who need help, the military have said no more. I could easily accept this if they did. I feel that people sometimes don't think before they take on one of these adventures. Not only are the risking their lives, but they seem to forget that if something does happen, they may be putting others in peril too. I guess everyone has the right to do these adventures, but they must accept any and all costs associated with them. Well I'm starting to repeat myself, so I'm going to end this here.
  16. So I was watching tv tonight and caught a segment on a show that was discussing Justin Bieber. It seems there is a whole following of Lesbians who like Justin Bieber. They even call themselves Biebians Check out their webpage here BTW, T, please don't kill me for pointing this out
  17. So I went online to see if I could find anything more up to date and found she had a facebook page. Hoping for more accurate and up to date information, there is a link on postings to her blog. It was updated by her mom about 9 hours ago. It seems her mom was talking with her and they had spotty reception. Later Mom was contacted by the rescue officials because her manual transponders were activated. The parents are hopeful that her automatic water activated transponders are not transmitting at this point. I will probably be watching this story as well. I hope she is okay
  18. :music:Happy 81st Birthday Old Bob:music: Here's hoping that is was a great day and that it was the best one so far Enjoy!!!
  19. Well a big congratulations to the Chicago Blackhawks . Their team, their city and their fans deserved the Stanley cup after so many years (49). I also want to point out a good news story that I wasn't aware of. Scotty Bowman, arguably the greatest coach in the history of the NHL who won multiple cups in Montreal and Detroit was working in Chicago this year. It was a surprise to me, as I figured Scotty would be dying in Detroit. Stan Bowman is the GM of the Blackhawks and I didn't realize it was Scotty's son. What makes this story even more interesting is Stan has fought and beat two bouts of cancer. He asked his dad to come help him as he was recovering the last time and Scotty agreed. Not sure if there has been a father son combination in management has won the Stanley Cup. Kudos to the Bowmans
  20. I so agree John, I don't seem to have time to go to the bathroom except when I am on lunch. I guess I push myself though so that I don't have down time. Luckily my work only has a intranet, no internet, so even if I had time to get online to do some reading, or check the boards, there is no way to access them. Probably for the good. My heart goes out to you Benji I remember an episode of QAF where Ted was let go for watching online gay porn while all his coworkers were watching straight porn. I was shocked about that, but it left a impression on me to never use work to do anything 'harmless'. You would just be giving them something to let you go for if you did that
  21. Okay, first let me thank the goat for the chapter, Thanks Now I'm getting confused. Didn't Rachel buy the Ares from Bridget's husband Arnold during their divorce? Then 3 years later she buys Atlantis from Bridget only this time. Bridget mentioned having several boats and selling them off. I am going to reiterate my previous comment about girls being bad. Bridget the drug smuggling queen is feeding Lisa and she is the silly girl who is getting everyone upset. I am beginning to wonder what Julie's relationship is Bridget. She is the only other living woman in the story, so I'm beginning to distrust her too. I have to admit it was nice to see the goat portray some good ole Canadians in the light that we rightly deserve eh? I do have a major question though Did anyone else catch the name of the cook on board the yacht? Francois? Is this a cameo of the much loved Bondwriter who has been noticeably absent, or does the goat plan to malign our dear friends fetishes in his evil ways. If we find Joel and Trevor tied up for sexual games by Francois, then we know CJ is involved. Lastly I have to agree with Mike, this story had so many cliffs in it that even I am dizzy from them.
  22. So Chicago can win it all tonight in Philadelphia, problem is they haven't won there in like 25 games Any bets?
  23. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that outside of the US, nobody uses the Fahrenheit scale. Most of us use the Celsius scale for temperature. If someone says it is going to be 65 out, the best I can do is say it isn't cold, it isn't hot. Since the forum is entitled How Hot Is It Around the World, I thought I'd put this in so we can all relate to what each others are saying Currently hear it is cloudy and about 18, with rain expected up to Sunday

    Glee

Nope, sorry Eric. Since it is just a library that reroutes you to the network pages, it is unoperative outside of the US. I have an IP radomizer, that masks your IP address, but sites like Hulu are now blocking any one coming on using them. Guess we will have to wait for the next generation of masking programs
