    Weekly Wrap Up
Another week, another day, another hour  . I had a nice short week last week as in Canadia we had the Victoria Day Long Weekend last weekend, and I believe some 'mericans have the Memorial Day Long Weekend going on right now. I believe our friends back across the pond in the UK have this weekend as one of their Bank Holidays. Tomorrow I do believe the French have Whit Monday, I also think in the Australian Capital Region they have Reconciliation Day on Monday, but does the the rest of Australia have anything as well? New Zealand, let's hear from you!! With the exception of the Southern Hemi, usually this week is the official kickoff of the summer holiday season. So let's go summer!!!!
We have a lot of people that have reading lists here at GA. Maybe something caught your eye like in a Signature Author Feature, like @Dodger's feature this week, or maybe a Review from our Review Team and you have put it on your reading list. What about the CSR, any stories from there? So I want to know, what story is on your reading list to be tackled next? Yes, your opportunity to get a plug in for an author's story here in the Weekly Update.
Being the 4th week of May, we tend to be a bit busier this week than most  So let's get to wrapping it up
Monday, Cia was kind enough to bring us an all new Signature Author Feature with a nifty little signature that you can use if you are not currently using yours for something else:
Don't forget on Wednesdays, we have the Signature Feature Excerpt:
Continuing on the secret theme, Val took us back to 2016 to look at another set of stories in a 'secret' contest:
Friday, Cole brought the new prompts. Spurned by a real life event, he had some interesting takes on pets that I'd like to read one or two about:
Interesting article that Comicality wrote for Saturdays blog. Something that I might have to really pay attention to and give it a shot . Maybe he can teach this old dog some new tricks:

    Words of the Day included:
rave, lithe, beryl, axolotl, quatrain, eucalyptus, robin

While you certainly can read it first, it would be far more impactful to start with the first story.
Trevor — a self-proclaimed man whore with the ladies — packs about as much personal growth as you could possibly expect in one summer internship, and  not just with sexual horizons. He quickly develops from one of the least-interesting characters in the “pack” series to one of the most compelling.
With each new story of his saga, @WolfM builds on the world and themes of the whole, told through compelling, relatable characters with action, humor, lust and love. Oh, and I can’t forget the intricately detailed depictions of interesting places found along the way
Personally, I think this is one of the strongest entries in the series.  Hated to see it end. Looking forward to catching up with these guys again. Connor and the Wolves by Yeoldebard The Second Circlet: The Old Places by MrM

    Weekly Wrap Up
For some reason today I am giddy  Not sure why. Maybe you can think up a reason why Steve is giddy today. Let me know?
Here is a straw poll, with just over two months to go until the publishing of the Secret Author Contest, who thinks they will write one? WAIT. Full stop, it won't be a secret if you tell everyone here that you will be writing. Unless you are up to trickery and have no plans to write and post that you are going to write.
It was pretty quiet this week on the GA News Blog this week. Hoping some of our usual contributors had a nice relaxing week. Val and Comsie had you covered
The Weekly Wrap Up was up this week until Thursday. Then Val shared one of the more favourite contest we've had here at GA in the past:
Val was back again on Friday, with two new prompts. At least one of them was translated into German  Never know who will write a prompt though
Who could forget Comicality's article of the week? Well to be honest, me  When doing up this draft, I realized I missed out on putting it in here. All fixed before publishing time
Now I will let you all in on a little secret. One that I don't think would make it into the Secret Author Contest. Myr isn't actually up at 4 in the morning everyday to post the Word of the Day  So here is a look back at the week of prompts.

    Weekly Wrap Up
Hello all from the province that is on fire  Thanks to all the people from all over the US of A, the rest of Canada, some Aussies and other foreigners for coming to help. Nice to know that everyone can come together and help out when things like this happen
So, whatcha reading?  I'm just leaving it at that. Or if you aren't reading what are you writing?  Besides a response to me
Well since we are on the cusp of Summer in the Northern Hemisphere, curious if any summer plans are being made? Unfortunately with 35 years with my company, I won't get any this year. The first time in 35 years  I'm not bitter though  So enthrall me with what you all will be doing and I can be jelly. If you are going into Winter, any plans for that? With the heat we have been having, I'm wondering if I should move south
Enough of my ramblings, lets get down to the brass tacks (I learned that one in the Word of the Day a while back  ).
On Monday, Cia... oh, Cia had a much deserved Monday off  Instead the super Review Team put forth a great review by @chris191070:
We had a bit of a break until Thursday... wait, move along, don't look at this blog. Nothing to see  The Prompt Team gave us a couple of prompts:
Finally for Saturday, Comicality taught us all a valuable writing trick in a new article. Check it out!
Speaking of the Word of the Day earlier, make sure you are checking them out. If not daily then here they are wrapped up in a neat little package:

Well let's dive into the world of the supernatural this month. We are treated to something very different from Wayne.
We meet Jed, a man with many talents who is used to life in Northern California. But things begin to change for him, when he meets the mysterious Wolfgang. Wolfgang has come to town to investigate a string of suspicious murders. But not all is as it seems as we are introduced to his many talents.
We are introduced to the world of the supernatural, where you will meet many different creatures in this very different take of the supernatural. Of course you will also find plenty of erotic sex amongst the murder and mystery. It is fast paced and will leave you wanting more.

    Weekly Wrap Up
    Hey all
So, if your city, town country, etc. has a beer festival and you don't fight the demons of the alcohol , I suggest you might want to check it out!! Today I went to the Calgary International Beer Festival and somehow I'm still of the mind that I think I can right this blog  Myself, I'm more a straight kind of pilsner kind of guy, seldomly venturing into the the likes of IPA's, stouts, ales, and all the others. Well, I surprised myself . I had a great day at the festival and think this might be a more yearly thing. It is always a great thing that you can break out of your normal habits and try something new, you might surprise yourself! I know I did
Now I'm curious, tell me something that you did this week that might have been out of your comfort zone? Maybe you didn't actually do it, but did you think of getting out of the norm? I know in addition to the beer fest, I also made an honest effort to be more nice to Val  I'm not sure if you are willing to take on such an extreme change, but let me know what you may have, or plan to do
Enough about all that , lets see what happened here at the GA News Blog this week.
Monday we found the first of the month with Cia introducing us to an all new CSR:
Not to ever disappoint on the first Tuesday of the month, Aaron was back with another great AAA 3.0:
Extra, extra! Did you hear the news? Val was by to let us know of two upcoming writing events. One is a secret, so don't tell anyone about it
Back to a full week of GA News Blog, we had Cole pop in with a couple of new prompts for us all to tackle:
It is always nice to get back into the routine of things I say. So it is great that Comicality was back with another great article again this week:

Don't forget, Myr was in everyday with the Words of the Day:

    Weekly Wrap Up
It appears that spring has finally sprung in my neck of the woods. All week we are supposed to be above 20 (68F) and by Thursday up to 27 (80.6 F)  I will need to be bringing out the SPF 2200 for that day 😊 Sure enough, I head back to the office grind on Monday, but I really can't complain about the temperatures as I was not going to let the weather dictate my vacation so I wore shorts and sandals every day 😎I do however hope that everyone that are experiencing adverse weather in their area are staying safe and it is only for the short term.
Looks like the month of April did turn out to be a month of poetry. We had 3 weeks of Poetry Anthology entries and then a big thank you and all the stories wrapped up in a nice neat bundle on Thursday this week. Please take the opportunity on the Thursday blog if you haven't had the chance yet to go, to thank all our authors (on stage) participating but also the great hard work that the background (backstage) people all did. It was a great production!! It has been a long time since I've seen such a well participated in Poetry Anthology. Thank you all  Take a bow.
Now I'm curious, we have had a lot come at you in the past week. CSR Discussion Day, Poetry Anthology wrap up, lots of new chapters came at you too!! So what did you take up or continuing on reading here at the site?
Being the last Monday of the month, Cia was able to interview @vanalas in the CSR Discussion Day:
Thursday as mentioned, Val did a nice little wrap up for the Poetry Anthology. Please stop by and leave a comment!!
After a bit of a break, Comicality was back with another Writing Article. Ironically the man who gives us some of the most detail and informative articles wrote his shortest article I believe, on not being wordy

    Weekly Wrap Up
The one good thing about taking forced holidays is you get a lot of crap done that you should have done way in the past  Let's see, I finally got my painting done that I started in November. Bought new appliances that I wanted to do before Christmas and got some new furniture too! So I will host the next GA Friday night party, and you all are invited . You can all crash on my new couch
Now what to do in the week ahead ? Any recommendations? I am working my way slowly through the Poetry Anthology. Need to go back and leave some comments, I'm one of those guys that like to think about comments and come back later. I did my spring cleaning in my house as I was painting and maintaining it, but probably can now do a good cleaning inside and out of my vehicle. Kind of watching the Stanley Cup Playoffs, so Go Winnipeg Go!!
Enough about me. I know we have different forum topics on what you are listening too, what your reading off GA, etc. The past week I finally finished off reading Going Down in La La Land. Have any of you read it? What did you think? Or, what interesting non GA stories might you be reading? Oh, unbeknownst to me, I guess it was made into a movie. Need to add that to my my list for the next week
So on Monday, Cia introduced us to this months Classic Feature for the month of April. Make sure to drop by and see who and what is being featured. There is also a neat little signature image that you can put in your own signature with a link, if you so like. I do it every month
On Wednesday, Cia was back and she also brought with her the Signature Author Excerpt. See if this makes you add this story to your reading list:
Like all things in life, there always an end to what is the best  (Unless I'm wrong ). But turn that frown upside down and check out the last week of our 2023 Poetry Anthology. I've started on it, and will continue on .
As always, we like the the Anthology entries be the focus for the rest of the week.

But don't fret  Here are the words of the day!

    Weekly Wrap Up
Did you notice we had an announcement this week that you won't probably see regular blogs about every week?
It was a bit busier week than usual on a Anthology release week. Now that we have two weeks of poetry anthos out, tell me 2 things. 1, how many have you read. 2, which one would you recommend to others? Okay, you don't have to choose just 1, but was thinking that we might get a wide range of likes. Maybe even tell us what you liked about it as if you were a salesman selling poems like the encyclopedia salesmen of old  If you don't know what an encyclopedia is, think Wikipedia in book form but no editing allowed
Also it is the time of year that my company comes to year end on Apr 30, meaning I need to take two weeks of holidays or lose them  No plans, except maybe flying into Buffalo to meet up with @Valkyrie to hand over the HUGE book I have on a certain member  . Somehow I feel this is going to firmly bite me in the ass again
Now onto what all happened this week!
Monday our super review team put forward a great review by @chris191070, that finally got out to you :

Hi all. So after missing last month's blog, I got my act together. Thanks @Timothy M. for kicking my butt. So with much ado, enjoy!

This is a truly amazing story from Mrsgnomie, everything is just perfect about it. But before attempting to read this story you really need to read Boss Nanny first.
We follow Loren as he becomes top of the Social Media industry. Loren didn't have an easy start to life, but he learned to survive. Loren was always missing something in his life to make it complete.
Things get complicated when along comes Jay. Jay a NFL footballer who's life has always been relatively easy for him, until he meets Loren.
Destined to be together, it takes quite a while for them to get together. Because Loren is a hard nut to crack, but once he cracks, things progress from there.
But Loren and Jay do not have a smooth ride, they both have problems and issues to be worked through, individually and as a couple.
You really need to read this story to learn about Jay, Loren and their friends.

    Weekly Wrap Up
    Pssssst, did you hear!
Yes, this is week one of the Poetry Anthology being released 🕺 Now it is up to us readers to go take a look and thank our great members that participated with a review, comment, even a like. It lets them know how much you appreciate their contributions.
It is Easter weekend, and has anybody bought all their chocolate? How much are you going to share  ? If you are not a chocolate fan, you can always grab some when it is being cleared out on Monday and drop it in a food bank drop off if you have one of them. I did do a bit larger shopping trip the other day and put in a bit of stuff since I could.
So stories, I'm going to tackle the anthologies, but I need recommendations. What story would you recommend me, or others on site to give a read! Not sure if I'm ready for a serial, but how about a good, entertaining story.
Onto looking at the past week on the GA News Blog, we did have a shorter week than normal. But big things were in the works.
On Monday, Cia introduced us to the story and the author behind the story for the April CSR Feature:
Tuesday, our site comedian  Aaron took over the reigns for an all new AAA 3.0:
Then onto Thursday where Cia launched out first week of the Poetry Anthology:

Like Ole Faithful, Myr was up every morning shooting up his own geyser, which we call the Word of the Day.
kuchen, pettifogger, pellucid, perihelion, incertitude, jalopy, kitsch

    Weekly Wrap Up
So don't be like me and Valkyrie
Valkyrie as Spike and me as Chester.
So to avoid getting a back hand (paw) or two, I promise I will not ask her daily for when the Anthology will be out  I will though be sitting patiently by awaiting the release! I know entries are making their way to out super duper Anthology Proof Team and then when everything is looked over and ready to go, Val will turn on the power
Now that is is April 2, did any one get April Fooled?  I worked with all the staff for a friend whom is a chiropractor and arranged for him to have a new patient. He knocked and came in the door and looking down at the chart and not really looking, starting to say 'Welcome Jeffery' until he realize their was a skeleton on his adjustment table  His chart said the primary reason for coming in was he waited to long out in the waiting room. Wanted to get nutritional information on if he should add more carbs and fiber into his diet  The doctor said he was waiting all morning for something to happen, but it did genuinely take him by surprise and he did like it .
How about you? Anything funny happen to you yesterday?
I'm also curious, did you finish off a story or two in the past week? If so, what were they (plugs allowed) and what did you like about it/them?
We had a good week here at GA, so let's dive into the site blogs.
Monday, Cia gathered us all around in a reading circle to discuss this past month's Can't Stop Reading Feature on Discussion Day:
Thursday, Valkyrie steered our attention to NaPoWriMo which started on April 1st. Not sure what that acronym stands for, check out the blog:
Friday, back upon popular demand  we had a second week of delicious prompts with Dessert Prompts Part 2:
Yesterday it was Comicality's turn to impart some of his wisdom and knowledge upon us with another article:

Mr. Myr was in at the crack of dawn (somewhere) to bring us a new Word of the Day Sunday through Saturday. Lately they have mainly been words that I don't know. Wonder what this week had is store?
desolate (knew it), gregarious (knew it), quietude (nope), quay (nope, well had it wrong), grange (nope), paraffin (knew it), oyster (knew it)

    Weekly Wrap Up
Important notice to everyone, in case you missed it
April 1st the deadline to get your entries in for the Poetry Anthology!!! Need any info, click here.
We have officially jumped into Spring from Winter. Did you notice any difference? Not for me. Speaking of Spring, time for some cleaning to be done  So when you clean up on the stories you are reading, tell me what story(ies) you might have on mind to tackle next? Or take a break until the Anthology comes out?
Let's get into the wrap up. I'm a wee bit tired tonight and thinking there is a pillow with my name on it yelling my name
Monday was Cia's turn to come in and give us a brand new Signature Author for the month to be featured. Did you see who it was?
So if the name didn't entice you, maybe check out the excerpt:
On Thursday, Val might have did a blog to remind us all of some upcoming anthology :
Then, it was the first installment of the Dessert Prompts, I hope . Make sure you check it out and maybe toss one in there yourself. My mind is thinking of something  I hope there is more to come 👏:
Saturday our Featured Signature Author took over and gave us a new writing article:
Pretty busy week! We also had all the Words of the Day too!
scull, dike, fallow, rowel, de rigueur, socket, innocuous

    Weekly Wrap Up
    Whoa, Nelly. I'm wiped out
I may or may not have been, what the hell there is cameras in every place now adays, at a bar celebrating the little leprechauns among us. Yes, I'm talking about our Irish friends. But then again, the rugby playing guy I met last night was not little nor would I call him a leprechaun
Then tonight it was my lil' sisters 50th bday. She is the last of us to hit 50, so the only thing we kids have to look forward to now is reaching 65 so we can get our Seniors Discount at Denny's
Still, I am up at the crack of 1:15 am to give you what the tens of you want, the Weekly Wrap Up. With that said, let's get going!
Monday, well, I messed up. Our Review Team and specifically @chris191070 did an excellent review. Just I forgot to publish it. We will see about getting it up sooner rather than later. My apologies to everyone
Wednesday, if you weren't paying attention, you might have thought it was Friday already! Geez, I could handle a work week like that. Cole Matthews posted a blog for the 2nd part of the Desert Prompts. I'm kind of hungry, would any be opposed to me suggesting Dessert Prompts in a few weeks?

Then believe it or not, we only had one more blog and that was from Comicality:
The one thing we had every day of the week was some new, some old and some really whacky words of the day:
baobab, habiliments, titivate, duckboard, maquette, shenanigan, nib

    Weekly Wrap Up
    WAKE UP!!!
    YOU ARE LATE!!!
Okay, that is kind of a North American comment but bear 🐻 with me  (I know I spelled that wrong  ) And if you are a bear, no hate mail please
So before I started this blog I went back and read over all the great suggestions that you all came up with last week  . I'm going to toss 3 ideas all into this blog and then see how they go, and tell me what you think.
First would be, what is your favourite story that you read this week as suggested by @astone2292? Was it a chapter, or finishing off a story? Enquiring minds want to know
The second one we have to be careful on, right? If I ask a question, it can't really be political. Probably won't do the above and this one every week though. This one actually dances on that line as it is politicians that make the decision, but here we go. If you are in North America (I don't believe anyone else has it), is your region getting rid of daylight savings time and going to standard time year round? What is your personal opinion, love it, hate it, indifferent to it?
The third and final thing I'm going to try is every week from a suggestion last time I solicited ideas, I asked and we followed through on marking when a story is complete. Some of you are of the mind not to start a story until you know it is complete. So I will keep up the notification, but I am also going to add a quick comment from a reader after the Story link and status. If there is no comment, it will have a N/A. Maybe someone has read it and never left a comment on the story. If you want, why not share a comment below?
But before we get into the wrap up, I do need to ask a favour from the masses. Can you just think of any story you have read in the past year, 2 years, or 3 years? Come up with 3 simple questions and send the story name and the questions, can be more than 3, off to @astone2292? Just to be extra sure everyone knows something some of us may take for granted, to send a message to @astone2292 is to click on his highlighted name and it will take you to his profile. I've checked it and it is PG rated . Then click on the Message button:

So onto the blog, I think I have talked myself out .
Monday was Cia's chance to kick off (no pun intended ) the March CSR Feature:
Next up on Thursday was Valkyrie reminding us all to get an Poetry Anthology in if you want to get into the game! You have until Midnight, April 1st EST to get your entry in! Shall we ask Valkyrie, since time is a topic this week . Is the 12:00 AM April 1st, or 11:59:59 on April 1st?  I'm sure either way she will help you out!
Friday, well rested and roaming the desert with Cole Mathews, they both came up with some interesting prompts. Care to partake?
If you wanted all your questions about Niche Writing, then Comsie's article is the place to be:

I think I will do something that I haven't done before. I've totally mixed up the blog before. How about this time I do one completely in reverse  (except the Premium Story which is new this week  )

Saturday was a topic for Comicality that he has used before, but gave it it's own spotlight today :
Friday, Aditus threw down the gauntlet, so to say, and challenged others to write outside of the their usual genre on the given prompts:
It was the first Wednesday of the Month, so we all know what the means. Come on folks, send in an author and their story and some questions for the author to @astone2292, he needs some material. Heck, I'm going to wait until he gets answers from @Jack Scribe and @Don H   Okay, bad joke
Monday was the day to wrap up and have the February CSR Discussion Day. Did you read Crisscross Moon the past month or previously?

This actually was a bit challenging  I don't think I will be doing it again

    Weekly Wrap Up
Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Night. Depending on where in the day you are when you read this. 🕰️
I looks like our shortest month of the year is almost over. Can I tell a joke that hopefully everyone sees the humour of it and don't fill up my inbox with hate mail Actually it was told to me by a friend in the field, so to speak
So what month of the year do farmers complain the least amount about the weather?
Okay, settle down out there  Would that fit into the category of a dad joke? Maybe this week I will ask you to tell me your best dad joke
What do you call a guy out in the ocean bouncing up and down? Buoy
What do you call a guy with no arms or legs? Doesn't matter, he won't come
What do you call a guy about to tell the next joke? Randy
What do you call a guy on his knees helping another guy out? Either, Neil or Bob
If I at least made you crack a grin a little bit on any of the above, then my job is done. But on the other hand if Myr see's this and doesn't approve, my job will be done. Permanently 😮
Shall we get onto the wrap up? Yes? Okay.
Monday, Cia was in a bit under the weather. Hope she is doing  fine  With this month's Signature Author Feature, it is a popular story
A hop, skip and a jump to a Wednesday follow up, the Signature Author Excerpt. Hope this entices you to read or reread
Thursday was a shout out to everyone to maybe dust off their poetry skills, or plan out to get ready for our Poetry Anthology.
Friday, Mr. Matthews decided to take us on a journey, with some prompts:
Saturday, Comicality helped us all out with another writing article:
3 days left!!!! Last week I was impressed where we were on our goals for February. Wonder where we are now? If you are curious like me, here is the answer:

Word, word, everywhere a word... sung to the tune of Signs by the Five Man Electric Band
zymurgy, hobbish, zibeline, zephyr, zeal, zoology, zebu
It appears that the Words of the Day were more or less brought you by the letter Z!

    Weekly Wrap Up
    Ooops, I did it again
Up here in the frozen Great White North some people decided years ago that the time between New Years Day and Good Friday/Easter Sunday was tooooooo long of a break without a day off from work  I know, you all are thinking did you damn Canadians create another holiday in February? If you are thinking that, you are correct. The day falls on President's day in the US of A, but most provinces call it Family Day . So the 3rd Monday of the month is a day off for most companies unless you live in Newfoundland or Quebec. They have their own holiday, but they decided to put them in the summer where you can be out and about and enjoy the weather. Tomorrow, we have another polar vortex coming in for tonight, and could bring up to over a foot of snow and temps in the -22 C range. Warning to my 'merican friends, that usually means it will be coming down there.
Why I'm telling you all this is that I totally forgot today was Sunday. Again , I really need to get back in the routine. Would someone be willing to hit me with a cattle prod on Saturday nights to remind me? Sorry, Val, I know this would make you too giddy so for your heath and mine, you are exempt  Oops again, I made it 50 days before I said something not all positive and rosy about Val. That New Year's Resolution is gone. But think if the fun I can now have .
So to the wrap up at a later hour than usual...
Let's focus on the Words of the Day first this week:
dexterous, calliope, opusculum, emolument, xylem, yammer, zing
On Monday, Myr shared with the community the top 9 results of our first Reader Choice Awards! Did one of your favourite stories make the list?
On Thursday, Val shared another 2 Poetry Anthologies. So have you thought about stepping out of your comfort zone this year and submit a poem or 2? Or 3?
Friday, Val was back again and pretending she was Captain Kirk
Yesterday we had Comicality with an all new writing article. Always good to take these in and employee the techniques and ideas in all of our writing:
Last week due to technical difficulties, I was unable to share with you the results so far for the month of February on our Reading Goals. We are now up to date and with just over a week to go, let's win one for the Gipper. BTW, does anyone know what is a Gipper?

    Weekly Wrap Up
I didn't know if I should bring this up or not, some people have very, very strong feelings about it
The upcoming Tuesday is Valentines Day 💘Now if you are newly in love, you probably enjoy this day. If you are married and you and your husband, or wife, have been happily married for a while, do you feel an obligation to go out and buy them something, anything for the day? What if you are single like me. Does it get you a bit down as a reminder that you are single . Do you want to find a crossbow and go hunting the little cherub with wings and give him a taste of your tipped arrow. Hmm, just looked that up and other than Minecraft and other games, doesn't appear to be such a thing, oh well .
So for the heck of it, I'm going to ask you what Valentines Day means to you? I'm curious to see if there is a varying amount of opinions.
Now that we got that all out of the way, I do have to thank @Myr for doing the wrap up the past two Sundays  The first one I was on holidays, but last week I honestly forgot and didn't pop on the site until about 3 or 4 in the afternoon . Luckily the big guy with his all seeing and all knowing eye, sort of like the Eye of Sauron 👁️, jumped in and got 'er done
On Monday this week, we had this month's CSR Feature announced. It has the name of my favourite singing groups of all time in the name :
Jump to Thursday, we had @Valkyrie let us know that her and Myr have revived an old contest, so to speak. In the olden days there was the Reader's Choice Awards, but it was all mostly done anonymously with nominations though our Harry Bird, @TalonRider. Seeing what Myr and Val they have cooked up, I like the new format and look forward to seeing the results of the different categories. You have to pay attention to the main forums page to see what is the current genre to be nominated for or what is closed and now needs voting on! Is there going to be a King/Queen of Cliffhangers  Or has that one been awarded to a goat for life!
Fridays prompts looks interesting! I'm sure someone has something Harry Potter related to contribute:
Saturday finished up our week and @Comicality was back with an all new writing article. Some really good advice in this one for all you authors out there.
How about the words of the day? I did not do too good in knowing what most of them meant. Luckily we have the Word of the Day to solve that
assuage, frolic, microcosm, outlandish, garrulous, dithyramb, rebus

    Weekly Wrap Up
    Hi all!
I should be on a plane on my way to Hawaii, but delays  I know my coverage to do the wrap up was really busy this past week so I'm here to wrap it up nice and tight with a bow on it
Monday Cia started off our week with a brand new Signature Author Feature. Hoping it doesn't keep you up all night
We jump to Wednesday when we have a excerpt from the Signature Author Feature:
On Thursday, Valkyrie got down to the brass tacks and gave us the info for the 2023 Poetry Anthology:
Friday, Aditus dropped in from the Prompt Team and gave us two new prompts:
And Saturday, what can we say about Saturday? Well Comicality stopped by with a brand new article:
Shall we take a look back at the words of the day from last week? Thanks Myr, 3 words that I never heard of before
skulduggery, deflagrate, vicarious, tutelage, de minimis, metonymy, canoodle

We are getting to the end of January, so shall we check our monthly goals to see how we are doing?

    Weekly Wrap Up
Wow, did that werk ever go fast
Just a few personal notes to check in with this week.

I continue to be nice to Val, but my devil on the right shoulder keeps pestering me to throw that out the window.
Second thing, I’ll probably be taking off the next two wrap ups as I do believe I’ll be on a South Pacific Island. It has been actually 14 years since I took a vacation outside of a 3 hour drive from home. Just need to ensure I have reef friendly sun screen 😉
As usual, enough about me and let’s get to the wrap up.

Monday was the day that our Review Team got to remind you of all the superfragilistic reviews over the past year. Also check out how you too can be a part of our Review Team. 😎

While you caught up on reading all the reviewed stories, we looked back at a past Poetry Anthology. Which coincidentally is our first anthology of the year.
On Friday, our Prompt Day, we got a few new ones:
Saturday’s article by Comsie was an interesting read:
Now I’m out and aboot 🇨🇦 this morning, but my dedication to get you 3/5th of the wrap up is amazing  gikkle: but I won’t get you the words of the day or goal summary until later.

    Weekly Wrap Up
I"m curious, how you are doing on your New Years resolutions? I promised to not be mean to Val this year, and I haven't  No matter what she says!  If you want, share if you made any resolutions. The past two years I resolved to be more of a drama queen and failed miserably both years 😢 Hey, maybe you have a resolution for me
Can you believe we are in 2023 already? I'm pretty sure it won't be long before we talk about it nearly being 2024! Not sure if time flies faster the younger, or the older you get. Or, is it based on for a lack of a better word, boredom. Like sitting at work and doing nothing makes an 8 hour day go on forever. Yet if you are behind the eight ball it seems like those 8 hours were not enough and you feel like you just started.
Last thing I want to tell you about is that I was an extremely good boy on Wed, Jan 4th . I didn't point out any members here a GA had a birthday or how they are soundly in the later half of their 30's. Nope, I did not!
To start of the New Year, we had a relaunch of the January CSR due to technical difficulties. So if you missed the first call to read, consider this a second chance:
As a side note, on Monday as well, Myr shared with us a recap of all the stories that were updated in 2022. Wow, that is one big list  Thank you to all the people who picked up a pen in the past year and gave us all something to read  :
Now strap yourself in for the wild and whacky ride that Ask An Author 3.0 brought us  You could feel the love in the room  this past Wednesday:
I hope you all saw the blog last week where the Anthology Selection Team revealed that the theme for next year's Anthology was Leap of Faith. Well this week we found out the dates and information for two more writing events:
Friday was another chance to get a couple of new prompts. Hey, that could be a resolution, write one prompt a week!
Saturday, Comicality kicked off a new year with a new article. Make sure you check this one out. I thought there might be a certain Ozzy Osbourne song as part of the blog, but I was wrong . I must be crazy!!

Since we are in a brand new year, let us look forward rather than back at the last year for goals. We did that last week already. So here is where we are for our January goals:

There was some really interesting conversations in the Word of the Day entries this week. Check them all out and let everyone know if you have something to add:
sprachgefühl, harangue, tare, amerce, moxie, dorsal, semelparous

Here we have Jason, a neko who lost his voice and parents aged six. He's adopted by a family of wolves and things change rapidly for him.
Then we have Devyn, who was born a wolf and doesn't understand the rules of his two-legged family.
All of a sudden Jason and Devyn find themselves as Brothers, but things are not that simple.
Sparks fly and before they realize it, they discover they are mates.
But things are not going to be  easy between the two of them as they are Wolf and Neko and will go through many trials and tribulations before they get what they both desire.

    Weekly Wrap Up
Well Happy New Year to you all! On behalf of all your peeps here a GA we are wishing you all the very Best in 2023. May it be in health, wealth, or staying wise, our heartfelt wish for all of them. As we continue to move forward day by day, I hope that everyone can settle back into a life where you can choose what you want to do, how you want to do it, and when you want to do it
This program was like all the other ones for regular TV between Christmas and New Years, it was prerecorded at an earlier time. I hope nothing changes in the next while  So let's see how it goes.
Cia was in on Monday with the October CSR discussion day, yes, October Read the blog to see why :
Can I get a drum roll please 🥁... Thursday the Anthology Selection Committee came up with next years winner for a Theme. Check it out here if you haven't already read up on the results. You have just over 10 months to get it in. Don't leave it for the last minute, like I would  :
Aditus gave us a few prompts that not only look to the past, but to the future as well. So is this where we see who lives in the past or always looking to the future?  Just kidding, why not write one for each!
Saturday, Myr was by with all the very best in the New Year to all of you!!
Myr was also a busy beaver in between holiday parties making sure all the Words of the Day were up and ready:

    Weekly Wrap Up
If you are just waking up and and decided to fire up GA for your first task of the day , then

On behalf of all of us here at GA, we wish you and all yours the very Merriest of Christmases. I really hope that it is profitable for everyone out there
I am off to my sisters for dinner this evening, how about you? If you are not going anywhere, doing anything, know that we all will be thinking about you in addition to the ones we are with.
I usually ask a different question to you, besides what are you doing today, so I want to know is if you have any different, unique or just interesting Christmas traditions? One of mine is back from when I was living a few hours out of my home town for a decade or so. I would always come home for the holidays and spend Christmas Eve with my best friend and his family. I'd spend the night but that usually entailed too much wine and me and the friend building the larger Christmas presents. Has anyone ever tried to assemble, and place stickers on a mini kids drivable jeep after maybe 1 or 2, probably 3 bottles of wine  When we started it, Maddy was 10 months old and she is now 23  Although I do not sleep over anymore, I am still there every Christmas Eve. Speaking of that, I'm doing this up early tonight and I better get my assets in gear!
Looking back at the past Monday, Cia introduced us to the December Signature Author Feature:
The great thing about that happening on a Monday, it means Wednesday is following up with an excerpt:
Thursday Val popped in once again and gave us a gentle reminder to get out and vote for next year's Anthology themes:
Friday, Cole from the Prompt Team was feeling generous and gifted us all with an additional prompt this week
Yesterday the big kahuna, aka Myr, popped by to wish you all a very Merry Christmas too!
Without forgetting to get these in before I hit save, here are the words of the day:
uncouth, narwhal, askance, elucidate, babel, sashay, yuletide
Now before you continue on with your Christmas celebrations, I know you all want to know where we are on our goals, both monthly and yearly.

    Weekly Wrap Up
Exactly 7 days to Christmas Day! I actually had to go to the mall and tell Santa what I wanted as I get a feeling I'm not getting anything from this lot
Curious, what percentage of shopping did you do in lets say online, brick and mortar stores, and/or local merchants instead of national chains? I ask since I really didn't look at the other two options. Amazon delivers my presents to my work and I go home and just wrap the boxes  Lazy, I know.
Well in the effort to conserve heat, it is freezing here and getting worse, I'm going to whip through the wrap up and climb back under the covers of my bed. If anyone wants to join me to share heat, and nothing else, let me know
Monday, our review team put up another fantastic story for all of us to read:
Wednesday/Thursday (time zones ), Val let you all know about the voting for next year's Anthology Theme. You have until the 27th of December to get your vote in. Every vote counts
Friday our prompt team gave us to conflicting prompts IMHO. Or, are they conflicting? I guess it is determined by the ending
Saturday, Comicality was talking about drinking Jack Daniels on the rocks, The Slow Burn. Oh, that isn't what it was about? Maybe I should go read it
Let's see how our December goals are. These could go two different directions; first being more time for authors to write and readers to read, or authors and readers are too busy and don't have the time to do what they love.
Here is December and the fast approaching end of 2022.

Words Of Day  Better late then never
repartee, stymie, apologia, millefleur, paraphernalia, ransack, quash
