You brought tears to my eyes, Parker. These are so powerful and beautiful. After my grandma passed, a bright yellow chickadee visited my aunt's living room window repeatedly. It would play with my nieces and nephews...flit from one window to the next in a game of hide and seek. It was quite amazing to watch. It returned every spring for a couple of years. Not sure if it still does. We always said it was my grandma keeping an eye on things.

I agree with you. I consider it cheating also. These guys aren't perfect, that's for sure. I love mac and cheese! Josh and Galen's taste in food runs very similar to my own.

This story is a sentimental favorite of mine and I appreciate your comments. I'm glad you found Sam's assault and subsequent recovery believable. It was very difficult to write. -

Great reviews! Now I want to read/re-read all of these stories! Social Skills drew me right in, too and is one of the first Premium stories I read. I consider that story among my favorites on this site. Addy's review makes me want to read it again. I've also read Mann's Santa Claus series and recommend it to anyone who's a sci-fi junkie, or even if you're not, Mann's characters will make you like it. Puppilull's review of the MetaWolf series reminds me I need to finish it. I started it ages ago and enjoyed it... now I just need to finish it! While I haven't read the rest on the list, I'll have to add them to my ever-growing reading list. -

Great question, Imoline. A lot of friends and loved ones of mine have experienced loss lately, so I've been doing a lot of thinking about life and existential questions. I think everyone has aspects of their life they wish they could change or mistakes they'd like to fix. But all of our actions and inaction have led us to where we currently are. Would I change where I am right now? No. Ask me again tomorrow and the answer might differ I can really see your style emerging with this third selection. When I read it, I again imagined this set to music. Your words have a very powerful lyrical quality that's appealing. Nice job.

You saved the spiciest for last. A hot mixture of habanero and ghost pepper combine to create a primal joining. Nicely done. The thing about spice racks is that there's always room for more. I really enjoyed this series, Chef.

You had me chuckling at this. You captured the frustration of dealing with travel delays perfectly. There's so much to like in these poetic rantings, but "pavement's purgatory" really stood out to me. As someone who hates flying, being stuck on the tarmac while waiting hours to take off is a special kind of hell. I'm sorry you had to deal with all this.
