    Anticipation

You keep ratcheting up the heat with these. *fans self* I particularly liked the line, "tumbling slowly into this one moment". You're going to be an executive chef before you know it.
  2. He's very similar to how I picture Josh from THH. And did I mention the scruff? *swoon*
  3. Did you watch the Derby at Spruce Meadows? Richard Spooner with scruff... OMG I still have the recording so I can rewatch it just to look at him...
  4. Too bad it's not a pic of Richard Spooner.
  5. @Headstall I'm finally getting caught up on my Spruce Meadows watching. I just finished watching the Atco speed class and OMG what a great class! McClain is always a joy to watch. I love the new design on the Canada planks. I tried finding a pic, but only found the old design. I still have the derby to watch. That's always my favorite class.
  6. Happy Birthday!! I hope you have an awesome day!
  7. It's not just Tim. I can't see the author logo either. I can see the banners, but as Tim said, to the left of the text I see a box with the words 'author logo' instead of a picture. I use a laptop with Windows 10 and Chrome.

    Persuasion

Whew... I think you mixed some chili peppers in with those spices. I loved the play on 'mounting anticipation'. Very spicy, indeed.
  9. Oh I've done my share of laughable trailer backing. I got pretty good at it, too.

    Heatwave

You're describing my office... The rest of the building is comfortable or freezing, but my office is always way too hot. I'd rather be cold than hot. And now I'm having a hot flash in solidarity with you. Great job with these.

    Discovery

Bittersweet is a good flavor combination. The bitter makes us appreciate the sweetness even more. Yet another flavorful offering. Nice job
  12. Here's the question for tonight: for those of you that jump, what's the highest fence you've ever jumped? Mine is four feet, I believe. As a teenager I competed mainly at three feet, then in college I was jumping higher. More 3'6" to 3' 9" fences.
  13. Thanks for reading, Lyssa.
  14. We did make an exception once. She was 5, but mature for her age. She had lessons at the walk and trot for years. She's all grown up now and last I knew still riding, so it's nice to hear that all those years of the basics paid off.
  15. When I used to teach riding, the youngest we would take was six. It was nice to see their progression if they stuck with it.

    Attraction

Nice and spicy, just like the others. More, please. I love the term "artless gait".
  17. Ugh. What a nightmare. Hope it's all sorted out soon.
  18. Here's the link to the story of how I started riding, in case anyone hasn't seen it. https://www.gayauthors.org/story/aditus/anadventcalendar/5
  19. I've been a bit lax with the question of the day due to being on vacation, but here's another one. How old were you when you started riding? I was ten. I related the story of how I started riding in the Advent Calendar I did with Aditus and Cole Matthews.
  20. You captured the fear and physical response to anxiety perfectly. I'm sorry you're going through such a rough time. You have a lot of people you can lean on and that can relate. I hope things are on the upswing.
  21. oooo... I like the word list this week

    Flirtation

You captured the spiciness of flirtation well. I love the lines about 'night thoughts' and 'flammable craving'. Very well done, as usual.
