Thanks, Defiance When I wrote this, it was very windy and dark outside, so there were lots of creaks and noises, and the cats were freaking out over every little thing. I'm surprised I didn't have nightmares that night. lol

O.O You had me so drawn into the story, hoping that he'd stun whatever beast was hunting him and that effing Anslaugh or someone heard the distress beacon and would come and rescue him...then BLAM...he sets his phaser on himself... Like other reviewers, I was hoping that it might be the start of a new antho series. There is always the possibility that he had it set on 'stun'. Right? Great story, Cia.

I enjoyed this story, Drew. Good for Luke for not giving up on his friend. I'd like to think that Adam will eventually accept his friend and not throw away so many years of good friendship. Nice job

I thought you did a fantastic job with this story. You built a believable world in a very short period of time. The futility and then hope really shone through. I'd love to read more.

I loved this story. Kevin's love for Bryce shone through clearly, and the surprise proposal was perfect.

What a powerful story, Addy. My heart broke for both men. The joy of having Romeo survive, only to be crushed by the realization that he lost him anyway. You portrayed Romeo's issues very realistically. With injuries of that extent, memory loss and some kind of impairment is pretty much assured. The body is an amazing thing though, and continues to heal long after we think it's stopped. You gave us hope at the end, when I had thought that Romeo and Julian were lost to each other. I should know better, though. Love will find a way. Very nicely done, my friend.

My head hurt like a son-of-a-bitch. I groaned and sat up, only to immediately lie back down due to the shooting daggers of pain exploding through my skull. What the hell did I do last night? I'm wondering if that phone call will come back to bite him...if the police still have it and see the call they're going to investigate who the caller is. This was a great chapter. It's so nice to see Andy in a real home environment instead of the school. I hope he gets to stay there for a while, at least for the week his 'dad is out of town'. I have to say I'm surprised that the assistant principal left him out in the elements like that. I would think he has an obligation to make sure all his students are picked up safe and sound. Not very smart or responsible on his part. Great chapter. Your writing just continues to get stronger. I can't wait for the next chapter. -
