  1. It also applies to lurching green things @Zombie

    Born Again

Thanks! I've always found the concept fascinating, so I really enjoyed exploring it when I wrote this story.

    Jus Sanguinis

    Thank you so much!

    Mom Hugs

I'm not familiar with that movie. I can't imagine living with that kind of guilt, but at least she's doing something positive because of it. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for reading!
  5. I'm definitely giddy about getting to watch Spruce Meadows show jumping again, since it's something I look forward to all year and all events were cancelled last year. There were only four nations (as opposed to the usual twenty) represented in the Nations Cup (five teams, since Canada fielded two teams), but the competition was still pretty fierce 🍁
  6. Your birthday prezzie is on its way
  7. I think we're pretty equal on the aspersion front
  8. Pepsi is great for aspersing @Zombie the living dead
  9. Great interview! I'm sufficiently hooked and will add this story to my reading list.

    Stone Heart

Excellent poem. The human the saint once was, turned to stone in multiple ways. Thanks for sharing it with us. I think I'm finally caught up now
  11. I enjoyed them all, but especially the last one with the comma moon. It's hard to believe summer is coming to an end.

    Inventions

I liked this form a lot. I liked the rhythm changes - they reminded me of Poe.

    Butterfly Haiku

I love Haiku, and these are like little bites of potato chips. You can't stop with just one

    Appassionati

I like them both, and the descriptions are evocative. They are well-written, but I must admit to having difficulty with finding the right rhythm when it changes toward the end of the stanzas.
  15. A perfect painting of summer, and a true sensory experience. I especially liked the image of the boys as egrets.
  16. Great interview! I really enjoyed this story when I read it. I was rabidly anti-Charles at the beginning of the story, but was impressed that the author was able to change my mind by the end. The new stories sound really interesting. I'm looking forward to reading them.
  17. Cheese crisps or pork rinds are good low carb snacks. Cheese and pepperoni, nuts, cheese sticks are some others. There are a lot of good sugar-free products with the 'keto' tag on them. I buy a keto chocolate bar with hazelnuts that's really good. Also Enchanted brand Keto ice cream is the best sugar free ice cream I've found. The key is to let it soften first (I nuke it for about 10 secs first because I'm impatient ) I also make my own snacks. All Day I Dream About Food is a low carb blog with some fantastic recipes. Everything I've made from that site has been a hit, even with people who don't generally eat low carb.
  18. The Long Way and In the Fishbowl by DomLuka are two of my site favorites. Red Running Shoes by Aditus is a well-written, memorable story and another fave. The Art of Being Gay by Cole Matthews is a fun, lighthearted story. I've enjoyed all of CT Piatt's stories, but this one in particular stood out to me.
  19. And then later discovered to be an effective @Zombie deterrent.
  20. Who else immediately thought of Laverne and Shirley?
  21. This was a great addition to the anthology. Definitely worth checking out
  22. No, I can't see the anthology blogs
