    Mom Hugs

The boy with sapphire blue hair raised his arms and undulated his lean body in time with the dance music blaring from the float moving slowly next to him. His hair, haphazardly arranged in spiky waves, stood out against his dark attire. He wore a black tank top that hugged his torso and black skinny jeans that looked to be a size too big. Studded bracelets adorned both of his wrists, and his ears sported a plethora of earrings. A rainbow flag fluttered in the breeze over his canvas rucksack,
  2. @Renee Stevens I just want to be clear so people's stories don't get disqualified for not following the rules. So the story should be marked to publish 6/21 at 12:00 pm and the first chapter for 6/21 at 1:00 pm?

    Jus Sanguinis

Rowan yelped as Pieter scooped him off his feet, then turned sideways and stood in front of the doorway to their new home. “May I?” Pieter asked. “May you what? Put me down! What the fuck are you doing?” “May I carry you inside?” Pieter rolled his eyes. Rowan winced as his boyfriend gripped his arm and leg tightly. It felt like he’d have finger-shaped bruises later. “I don’t care, just put me down!” “Is that a ‘yes’?” Rowan struggled to free himself, but Pi
  4. Rowan thought he was nuts for moving into a house sight unseen, even though it had been in Pieter’s family for generations. Oakhaven’s beauty changes his mind, and he soon finds himself on a journey of family secrets, where he learns that gods and monsters aren’t always what they appear to be.

  6. Thank you for all the birthday wishes! This was a big one for me, as I turned the big 5-0 shortly after 11:00 am today. I made a nice breakfast of bacon and eggs with cauli/broccoli hash browns. I spent the morning relaxing. My BFF sent me a nice prezzie so I opened that. I chatted with a bunch of my friends online, then talked to Cole for a while on the phone. I skipped lunch, knowing I'd be having a large dinner. I spent the afternoon at my mom's with my family. It was the first family gathering we've had since lockdown started a year and a half ago, so it was great to see everyone. They all brought me gifts, even though I told them not to We had chips and salsa and cheese and pepperoni for snacks, then for dinner we had pulled pork with homemade bbq sauce, a variety of roasted veggies (cauli, broccoli, brussels, and acorn squash), spinach salad, and for dessert I had a low carb vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream frosting, and everyone else had brownies and ice cream. We sat on the porch and chatted and had a great time. Overall, I would say it was the perfect introduction to the second half of my life 💖
  7. @Myr @Renee Stevens Will the chapter scheduling bug affect our ability to postdate the Pride stories?
  8. Both stories are well worth checking out. A great start to the anthology!

    Chapter 1

I really enjoyed this story. I live in an area known for major snowstorms, so I sympathize with the horrible driving and the road closure. Thankfully, I've never been stranded (yet ), but similar situations with stranded motorists happen every few years or so. I did have to spend the night at work once, which is better than being stuck in my car. I have an emergency kit in the car in case that ever happens though. It sounds like this was exactly what Craig needed in order to get the courage to change his life's path. I have a feeling he and James will be seeing a lot more of each other. This was a well-written, enjoyable read. Thank you for sharing it with us

    Chapter 1 Story

I really enjoyed this story. Zane's plan worked out pretty well, since he ended up meeting Fenix. I think they'll complement each other nicely And I really want to go to that restaurant! Great job, Wolfie
  11. Great story! Well worth checking out.

  15. This author is a hidden gem on GA. The descriptions, detail, and imagery in their stories paints a vivid picture without going overboard. This was the first story I read by this author, and I was drawn in by the same line as Palantir. @C.T. Piatt, I hope your work schedule will ease soon and allow you more time to pursue your hobbies. They're definitely worth pursuing. Great interview! In case anyone missed it, @Aditus recently wrote a great review of another one of this author's stories.
  16. Mine is not...
  17. Red Running Shoes by @Aditus was a real roller coaster. Addy had lots of torches and pitchforks to dodge...
