Whew! My heartrate is definitely up, especially since it's dark out and my neighbors have decided to make banging noises in their garage *gulp* You had me on the edge of my seat during the entire story. This was creepy and intriguing in the best way possible. I loved it!

This is a great short story! I love the intrigue and the whole incident at the grocery store. I really felt like I was there witnessing it. I have so many questions after reading this, but in a good way. I can't imagine the unsettled feeling of knowing/suspecting a crime was committed, yet there's nothing that can be done to bring the victim justice. Well done, my friend!

The steady rhythm of water droplets falling into what I assumed was a puddle was mesmerizing at first. Three drips to a louder plop. It eventually became annoying enough to make me give up on sleep and wonder where the hell it was coming from. Houses are not supposed to have drips and puddles on the inside. “Ugh… don’t tell me my stupid old pipes finally burst. How the fuck am I going to afford that?” I groused
