    Chapter 11

Thanks for returning to this story. I was having Makarovia withdrawal! So much is conveyed through this story: education about the Holocaust, understanding and tolerance of others who live differently from others, questions about religion, the nature of love. I can also see the process of working through grief and I can only offer my admiration for the love and life you have been blessed with. Tony
  2. There is a depth to this chapter that shows a growing maturity in Robbie. Maybe we could see an adoption celebration after all. Tony

    Chapter 24 - Adam

I agree with all the above and am eager to see what happens with Stephen. Will he become another member of the family? Thanks for continuing this story!!! I love all the characters.

    Chapter 8

If a guy hadn't liked doing "that" with a female, none of us would be here to say "ewww"! Just sayin'...
  6. Another excellent tome of the CJ saga. It is so well written. One can imagine being almost physically present in every scene. Can't wait for the next volume. Thanks Carlos.
  7. In his own way, Don is trying to protect Robbie even though his thinking is not totally accurate or supportive. Robbie will face obstacles born of ignorance and prejudice, but pretending to be other than he is will prove far more destructive. I am worried about his drug overdose.

    Chapter 2

Ok. The plot is thickening. Intrigue...excitement.

    Chapter 1

Great start! You are so colorful in your writing that I can picture myself right there with them.

    Chapter 22 - Ian

Why do I have the feeling that all will not go smoothly? Yet, all will work out.

    Chapter 45

Thanks for continuing this story. I'm eager to see it's development.

    BF Chapter 24

While apparently quite savvy business wise and intelligent as far as academics, Anton is still quite immature and downright rude in his relationships. I have enjoyed following the story as I have learned a lot about Australia. It certainly whets my appetite to visit! You are an amazing story teller, Quokka!

    Chapter 21 - Adam

There is no feeling like the first time you hold your child. Guess it's the second or third time! Instant love! I definitely await each chapter.

    AS Chapter 25

With your wonderful descriptions of all things Australian, I have learned much. It has helped that I have friends who have been on a 30-day charter all around Australia currently and have been posting pictures of many of the cities you mention. I am impressed with the in-depth knowledge of boating. The story was entertaining and educational. As a former teacher, I had to overlook grammatical errors, but the story allowed me to move on. Thanks for all your wonderful stories.

    NB Chapter 24

This story just stops. I agree...you really should consider a few more chapters to bring closure. The Rev and Kyle need to visit FI, Huon needs to heal and get settled in life, and we readers need some finality. You are a gifted writer, Quokka. Please complete this story. Tony
  16. Hope to see more postings soon...I really like this story. Great job.

    BF Chapter 12

While I don't like that Anton is behaving in an irresponsible manner in regards to his running without his phone and in disregard for others, I am more either in awe or utter disbelief as to the over the top abilities he has shown in all the business decisions. However, let's see where this goes. I actually enjoy the intrigue and education I'm receiving about Australia. Props to Quokka!!!

    Hunting Season

Ok...I'm waiting for the next book in this fantastic series. This whet my appetite for sure! I truly admire your talent in weaving reality and fiction. Thanks for the appetizer. Tony

    Chapter 13

While I can agree that it seems too soon for a marriage proposal, these are two men who also have had major life experiences. They can grow together through the messiness that makes up all our lives. Time of resolution has come. It's time to move on. Tony

    Call me Daddy

As difficult as it is to read, I'm positive that the reality is thousands of times more difficult. I admire that you not only survived, but that you are courageous enough to share and educate us. My respect for you and those who have endured and still experience this on a daily basis is immense but also combined with great sadness. Tony

    Chapter 12

At long last Andy came to his senses. I know how hard it is and the struggle to get there. Catholic traditions are hard to abandon when it's been made to sound like one is abandoning the church and one's vocation if one leaves the priesthood or religious vocation. John helped Andy get things into perspective. Great chapter. Tony
  22. Delightful story. Even with minor grammatical errors, it was an easy read that allows the reader to feel as though present.

    Chapter 10

I hope John will sit Andy down and confront him since Andy has never taken the offer to talk to him. I know that in this type of crisis of faith, one has to hit rock bottom first. What saved me was a line from Simon and Garfunkel's song "The Boxer": "I am leaving but the boxer still remains." I didn't need to feel that by leaving that I was abandoning my faith. Andy needs someone to point that out to him.. Tony

    Chapter 8

Andy seems more at peace in this chapter. It seems he is slowly coming to accept himself, though perhaps not ready to take the next step just yet. I am eagerly and patiently awaiting each successive chapter. Tony

    Shots fired

I like how you presented both sides of the gun issue in a forthright manner. Still, you went on to show the wider and deeper effects of the use of violence, even when necessary. The interplay between Mason and Brianna was delightful. Great chapter! Tony
