I'm still trying to figure out the timeline: I know you said not to pay too close attention to dates (especially concerning Kasey's age), but Jonathan is 8 or 9 years old - yet you mentioned that in the 10 years that Kyle and Blu have been together... oh well, minor detail in the overall scheme of things. I love this family more with each chapter! I see some major tongue lashing and actions being taken with the coach and the student(s) responsible for Levi's attack.

When I saw that you had posted this newest addition to the series, I knew I needed to start from the beginning again. So - here I am at this chapter after reading the three previous volumes!. I absolutely love these stories. You have done a wonderful job in developing the plots and creating characters with whom we feel connected! We're off to a great start with this one!

Chapter 137 If the Shoe Doesn't Fit
pvtguy commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 137 If the Shoe Doesn't Fit
With the only adult support Robbie has from Jo, it is no wonder that he lashes out so much at Don and Sue. He has never had full acceptance from them nor full expression of grief from the death of his mother and having to move to start a new life in a new country. He's been through some very traumatic experiences. While he brings on a lot of the negative he experiences through his temper tantrums, the family needs serious therapy! This is a particularly intense chapter. Great job, Dodger!- 40 comments

This series is absolutely wonderfully well-written, full of every emotion one could imagine! The story is gripping: two men have taken in three homeless children, added a young boy with leukemia, and also gave home to a young boy who was abused by his father. Add to this the intrigue of a murder plot against them, extended but very close family who bring laughter and love, and a grandmother who is so full of life and mischief and love that brings more adventure to the family. It is a must read as are the two previous volumes in this series.

I don't think Nalbo will know what hit him once Brett starts negotiations. I love that you're focusing on Brett and Cesar currently. This is a new stage in their life and it's exciting to see how that will turn out.

What a great way to start my birthday month! Any story by Carlos would be welcome, but from the CJ universe is simply wonderful! Good start.

It is interesting how people interpret experiences: The kiss happened and Jett reacted badly but April/Theo only felt the rejection and hatred expressed by Jett, not knowing the real reason Jett reacted as he did. And without any further discussion, he had no way to know Jett's real feelings. As Jett buried his feelings for many years, the truth only came out once Jett actually allowed himself to acknowledge feelings. Great story. I, too, was glad to see the TBC!

Rabbits just keep multiplying. They need some form of birth control so that the story can return to its original excitement.

This is a delightful story that started out as reflections from each of the two main characters, Blu and Kyle. We learn the backgrounds of both as they start their freshman year of college. There is some drama, but it is more the story of how love from various sources allow an emotionally beat-down young man to grow into a confident young adult. It is a wonderful collaboration of two gifted writers.

He certainly has some 'splainin' to do, Lucy!! I certainly do hope there will be sequels to this story. You've created some very interesting characters and a plot that has hoping time passes more quickly.

And so it begins. Unless I missed it, I am unsure of his age, though it sounds as though he just graduated from High School.

Robbie has come a long way in terms of his admitting his feelings for his family. Jo is the therapist he truly needs! Please don't keep us waiting weeks for the next chapter!

I Know How You Got That Tattoo
pvtguy commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in I Know How You Got That Tattoo
It was a week of expectation and you did not disappoint! But!!!!....now we'll have to wait another week to deal with this cliffhanger! Great job as always! -
This was a delightful chapter!

Carlos brings his wonderful ability to blend issues and drama into the journey of a young man who suffers a life-changing event into the motivation for a positive future. A great read!!!

Another excellent addition to your portfolio of stories! I liked the style of this chapter - the going back and forth to understanding the process of the speech. As a retired high school counselor, I have seen many students go through this process of growing up. I'm sure that Tom Kennedy was bursting at the seams with pride, love, and admiration as he listened to the delivery of this speech. Now...flesh out that story about Mexico....please! Thanks, Carlos! I love the positivity that is the basis of your stories. Brad is so very fortunate to have the friends he has for support, encouragement, challenges, and respect, but most importantly, love! I would hope your stories, and this one especially, inspires more to do what they can for homeless vets! Tony

A most engaging story on its own and part of the Camp Refuge series.

Such a wonderful journey that will engage your mind and your emotions. This is a well written story that captivates from the first paragraph to the last. From the mere number of comments where readers reacted and conversed with one another, you will find that your own passions are challenged. It is one of the best I have read on this site!

I could do with a long ending....with lots of intervening events...and a big ol' HEA!!!
-
What a wonderful close to the story! But I do agree: an epilogue of a few chapters is in order! A double wedding and after a visit to Alaska where they plan the event...don't let the characters just stop here, please!!! Tony

And so the drama continues! Love it!!! I just am impatient waiting for the weekly post!

Please don't say this is the end! I love this series of stories regardless of which character is featured. You do such a wonderful job of providing entertainment, education, issues and character development, Carlos! Tony

As was said in the description of this story, not a story you might expect on this site, but one wee worth reading! A true testament to love and commitment from the time of the Great Depression forward. It is a great read!

Returning to Rothenia after completing the series, it seems like being able to go back in time and enjoy these characters all over again and relive each of these scenes. Wonderful job, Mike Arram! Now, I eagerly await your next posting!
