    Dad

In all you write, you have a true gift of sharing more than mere words: even in a few words you create a powerful life experience. I echo the sentiments expressed so eloquently in the comments - my own father stopped communicating with me at age 12 other than very superficial comments (hello, goodbye)...a position I have made certain not to do with my own son who is in so many ways the opposite of me in personality, likes, etc., but a wonderful person in his own way. We don't agree on lots of "likes", but I totally respect him, and he, me. That makes things good in life for me, though that loss of the relationship I really wanted with my own father still exists - and he's been gone for 25 years! It just goes to show: we don't always have everything we want in life, but what we have are true blessings and we can be content with what we have! Thank you for sharing so much. Tony

    Vegas

This is a light but very engaging story. I love how you've woven in so many elements: friendship, legal and professional advice, hard work, dedication, and desire in your wonderfully flowing style. Now, would that this story could be real! Do you think the NFL or 'Murica would be openly accepting of this?
  3. I did understand the "redneck" diet statement as referring to Don et al. As for the unprotected sex, Robbie has been checked so many times while in the hospital that he should have known if there were any problems. Still, safe sex should be followed. I found it gave me a chuckle to consider his gravitational problem at the breakfast table. I do hope Robbie continues to work with Jo - he needs her for a true reality check midst the craziness in his life. Now, on to the next chapter!

    Chapter 55

I really love the interaction of Peter and Eric with all those around them. Many would say that security must not be emotionally involved with those they protect - yet, who is more likely to be protective: the one who loves you totally or the disinterested one? This is what makes it more a passion than just a job.

    Phil

Happy New Year, Carlos. I enjoy every story you write, regardless of length! Each is powerful and captivating in its own right. This one has begun with the intrigue that will keep me eagerly anticipating each posting! Thanks. Tony F
  6. Conner is a bit much now - but that is because he has been so lonely for so long. Let's see how he is when he relaxes a bit. I don't think either one of them is ready for a lifelong commitment at this point in any case! Thanks for the Christmas present, Dodger!

    LAX

Thanks for the Christmas installment. I look forward to an adventure with CJ and family when he gets a post with his new job. Meanwhile, have a very Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with unexpected blessings! Tony

    Boxing Day

Wonderful way in which Pam was made aware that she needed help and committed to getting it. A great chapter! Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with unexpected blessings

    Guarded

Wayne Gray is a gifted writer. In this story, he provides intrigue, mystery, and finding oneself with the gift of finding a home complete with relationships which form a "family". Great read!!!
  10. In the continuing Rothenian tales, this one adds a new couple (Ben and Phil) to the growing family. Still, it contains intrigue, romance, adventure and a "spiritual" interaction. Well worth the read!

    Chapter 23

I have read all posted here on GA. I am not aware of the other sites. I limit my reading to a few chapters a day when a complete story is posted as I like to prolong the pleasure as long as possible rather than achieve premature ecstasy.

    Chapter 23

Absolutely beautiful! Would that all suicides could provide closure to the surviving ones who loved them. I do look forward to more Rothenian tales.

    Chapter 22

It does appear that there are still more tales from Rothenia to be told! That certainly excites me!

    Chapter 21

Hmmm....has Jedodiah (sp?) become a guardian angel of sorts? Things are coming to a conclusion - but not too soon, I hope. I love these stories and hate to see one end!

    Chapter 20

And the fan is spinning and the excrement is about to hit the wall! Great suspense created, Mike Arram!

    Chapter 19

And now the real trouble begins. How does Elijah know about what plans Phil, et al, have? The plot thickens...

    Chapter 50

I want to take this vacation!
  18. pvtguy

    Chapter 18

I do love the intrigue! It will be interesting to find out whether Elijah is friend or foe.

    Chapter 17

We are in for some heavy intrigue! The reference to Jed is not a simple idea, methinks!

    Chapter 16

I love the descriptions of the buildings, the scenery, the taste of the wine, the feelings...in short, brilliant! I feel that I am right in the scene vicariously observing what each character is experiencing: a true literary gift! That said, the intrigue continues to build. I'm eager to discover Elijah's true role in all this - he does sound like a missionary, but for whom and for what? Great job again, Mike Arram!!

    Chapter 15

Until Dressner/Dawson is dealt with properly, I don't trust that the trouble is over for Phil and Ben. We'll see. Another well done chapter, Mike Arram!

    Christmas Day

I know that after 10 years after my aunt died at age of 26 from a rheumatic heart, my grandmother grieved heavily. She wouldn't have a Christmas tree, did not want to hear the piano played, and cried almost daily. I finally bought a small Christmas tree and set it up in her living room and it started bringing a bit of joy back into the house. She grieved still, but allowed joy to re-enter her life. I truly do understand grief from this experience. I am interested as a counselor how you handle Pam's grief. This chapter has so many wonderful elements. Another great job, Carlos. Tony

    Chapter 14

Well played! However, it could mean even more protection is needed for Phil and Ben as Dressner's cronies will want to protect themselves.

    Chapter 13

    That makes two of us....

    Chapter 13

As long as neither of us is an "Alex"...
