  1. I like where this is going. And I like the way you write.

    Chapter 32 - End

Well, having been schooled here in England I know nothing of these strange sports of which you write. Nonetheless, you have made me care about your characters. Thus, I too require more chapters - if only to see how Joel gets on with his new team. Or whether he returns to his old school? Thanks - even if there's no more.
  3. Aaaw! Yer big kid. You nearly had me weeping.
  4. I'm a reader on the site but a full-time carer in real life. The few ideas in my head won't coalesce into writable stories even if I had the time. I've resisted a Premium subscription for reasons of time (daren't fritter away more hours here - and I would) rather than money and wish there was a way to chip in a small donation from time to time to assuage my guilt. Real life is a little too concrete for me so I enjoy the fantasies most - lycans, sci-fi, magic and so on. Of course, the coming of age stuff in the US seems quite fantastical to me too! Thank you for all of it.

    The Field of Love

Sorry you've had a rough time. Glad you're back. You are extremely readable. Well your stories are at least - you might be!

    BigPaws

Wordy, complex, clever and fascinating. Requires concentration and a determination to finish - but well worth doing so.
  7. Neat, sweet - too petite.
  8. A new one to me of your many marvellous tales. Wonderfully crafty - the story and, I suspect, you too.

    Howloween 3

Soppy! In all the good ways.

    Thirty-Four

This story seems so true to life. It's quite unlike the usual fantasy fare I elect to read. But that's because I'm using them to avoid my own demons of course. Hope you get Liam through his soon.
  12. Goodness! That was unexpected. Or as you have it on that side of the pond - wtf? Well done dear author.
  13. Whilst Rothenia may owe a little to the Ruritania of Antony Hope he was only wandering the foothills of his own time and place. Mike Arram (and/or his editor Peter) have dug more deeply and researched more thoroughly the possibilities of this mysterious realm. The breadth of scholarship, the wide-ranging imagination, the sense of wonder and the quality of the writing of all these tales take a reader far away from the mundanity of normal life. At the basis of all the goings on in these tales seems to lie a very English stiff upper lip combined with boyish eagerness for adventure and 'derring-do'. The influence of other cultures, european, american and eventually other worldly, not to mention the world beyond, add layers of sophistication and opportunity for further mystery. Thank you to you both.

    TA-Epilogue

You are a naughty, naughty wolf. Very clever bringing Dorian back long after I, and perhaps others, believed that window now closed!

    Harlan

Early chapter! What's not to like? I vaguely remember Harlan as a good guy. Plus he's come running, so hopefully still is. Ooo! Complicated kinks though. Can't wait.
  16. Only gets better with re-reading and re-re-reading and ... well you see where I'm going. Best shifter story I've read. Would love more, especially with all the threads you left hanging. Quite understand if you've moved on though.

    Chapter 34

Bentley has a hybrid. I'd get one, well if I could afford it, and if I drove more than 3000 miles annually still.
  19. Your work may not be effortlessly Mozartian but your Beethovian struggles are to the benefit of us all. Please, above all, look after yourself and those you love. The rest of us can wait, however little we wish to! Having said that, I hope that Josh senior gets a prominent part in the impending nuptials of his first (and to those of us who've been with you from the start, most cheekily lovable) foster boy. That cheeky doorstep grin seems like a lifetime ago. Thank you.

    Chapter 41

Oh goody. We're winning again (not that I've over-identified with your characters!). Hope it lasts.

    Chapter 39

Oh dear! It's all rather frantic. I need a little lie down!
  22. Honestly you say. Well not me! Perhaps I should try lying. Although judging by your writing that would make me one of the bad guys.
  23. Hurrayum for Graham! I didn't have a clue who it was. How can they exorcise the bad guys - yet keep the good? I'm sure I'm not the only reader now wondering again about Tristan's father. You weave us many mysteries wise one.
  24. Holiday treat. Thanks for working whilst the rest of us are idling. Well, apart from being dutiful friends and relations, carers, lovers, spouses or what you will. Or annoying idiots apparently!

    Ambrose Smith

As it's got more interesting it's got more complex, or vice versa. Perhaps it's just me being easily befuddled.
