  1. So that's your "ancient Chinese secret" Awesome!
  2. Funny, but I don't remember having nightmares as a kid. Then again, my rag doll protectors (one on either side of me in my bed) were fierce warriors despite being filled with stuffing. Lucky me...
  3. I hope that regardless of its name, it worked.
  4. Hey tim This is a really terrific story and I'm inclined to say I want to hear more about Eddie and Jamie. However, when I really think about it, what you've given your audience is just enough. The HEA can be seen on the horizon and that brings a smile to my face and warmth to my heart not to mention putting my imagination in overdrive! As always, nicely done.
  5. Oh, Gary. don't you know? Mother's know everything! Nicely done, my friend
  6. Damn, but you do have a way with words Gary...
  7. Hey tim Tough choice that first one knowing who you would be missing out on if you'd had the choice of an easier path. I wish you could have had both. As for the other one, I did read it in the Poet's forum and liked it then too. Subsequently, I've watched an old episode of Bones in which Cindy Lauper guest starred as a psychic. She was pretty normal looking - not like her younger days when I used to listen to her music - but reading #2 has me thinking of her again - fun, flighty, but full of heart and determination. ...yeah, I know, my mind goes weird places.. As always, nicely done

  13. Carer's thoughtfulness leads to a patient's reunion with long lost brother
  14. That was beautiful! Happy, happy tears.
  15. You made me cry with that one Graeme, but the tears were worth it. What a lovely but sad story for exactly the reasons you mention.
  16. Congratulations Val!!
  17. Best friends at Chinese orphanage...preschoolers joyfully reunite at Dallas, Texas airport
  18. Well, gee, I don't think I can top the accolades already expressed, but I must say this. I read everyone of these poems and am impressed by tim's efforts beyond measure. If you haven't read his Napowrimo entry, please do, you won't be disappointed. Congrats to you tim to have your work achieve Featured story status. I am delighted for you but not surprised in the least - you are just that good!

    High Hopes

“Welcome to heaven,” Harley said I think that line says it all. The farm - and the adoring grandparents - is heaven for Harley. When he's there he can be himself and partake in things (like riding, doing chores, eating lots of home cooking and baking) that give him joy and he doesn't have to worry or apologize for being himself. His grandfather may have "chastised" him for calling Jerry Garcia Mutt, but Harley knows he doesn't mean it - even if he gave it back in kind. Harley showed a lot of skill and patience when he was teaching CJ how to ride...future profession for him perhaps? This was a nice departure from the routines of city life.
  23. Ellen DeGeneres and Katy Perry reduce Orlando surivor to tears...but in a good way
  24. Ignorance (and insecurity I reckon) shows itself in many ways. I'm super glad you were able to rise above such a foolish soul. He/she is the loser not you! I love all that you write - yes, even the tough stuff because it needs to be said - so I'm happy you had the good sense (because I know how smart you are) to listen to the bunch of us as we spout off in protest. Keep on writing my friend and we'll keep on reading and that's a promise. PS: I recall telling you at some point in the past that I didn't read (translates to I didn't like) poetry until you came along. That saying something in my book.
